      i agree to an extent, we can't keep blaming the coach for everything though. The Broncos are a team worthy of finals footy but everytime they start to lose they fall apart how can a coach run down there mid match and keep reminding them to pull their heads out of their asses. Everytime i see a big loss it's after they start to lose and don't fight back

      @@noremackshard2199 Simple. By enforcing better standards. More professional. If its a mental thing then get some of the worlds best sports mental coaches to work with the team to help improve that area. That is what a coach can do. And ffs stop letting them warm up before matches without a shirt, or giving all their gear away after a game and standing there in their undies. EFFING STUPID

    I don't think Reynolds is overrated, we win and play markedly better when he is there. The problem is that he is just so damn fragile. Any time he takes on the line I wince. He is just so prone to injury and likely due to his age unfortunately. The second part to all of this is how terrible Kevie has been at owning their struggles, he simply won't take criticism and frankly I liked that a couple journos pressed him this week after the game.

    Didn’t train hard enough in the off-season it seems, they also need to figure out some different attack options other than a ball out the back to Walsh which is getting read well now. The problem is finding a balance between the error riddled attacking flair they have now and less dangerous attack that will be more consistent.

    The mental & cultural side of this game is just amazing.
    Just have a look where the teams are that have lost the last 3 Grand Finals.
    All have imploded, it's not a coincidence that their culture is toxic
    Yet the team that has won the last 3 is still at the top, even though they have had to sell so many top players.
    Why is that?

    I've racked my brains to figure out what's goin' wrong, and here's my take:
    There's a leadership split within the team.. The team is divided between Reynold's leadership (with him being the captain but unreliable with injuries) and Carrigan's impending captaincy (with him being the most consistent player on the roster)...
    The team cannot find themselves because there is no clarity on leadership.. The issue is very subtle and hard to pinpoint because it only shows itself when the chips are down during matches..
    Carrigan probably fancies himself as the person who would naturally take the reigns, however he can't find his voice behind Reynold's who is in and out of the team.. Reynold's is likely down on confidence after being injury-plagued, and it's hard to rally the boys when he's not feeling strong enough to stay on the field...

    • @MERCURYSUNSET
      @MERCURYSUNSET 24 дня назад +1

      Well thought out mate so here's my take . They have lost their clarity because they haven't got their heads right since the Grand Final .Maybe they got too much of an ego pump and maybe thought that last years form would just roll into this year and have copped the shock that nope, you're back to the starting blocks and have to build again win by win , step by step.
      OR getting run down in last years Grand Final damaged them .

    • @DruovanniDefoe
      @DruovanniDefoe 24 дня назад +2

      @MERCURYSUNSET Grand Final hangover is definitely part of the root cause of the problem.. Kevvy and his staff are also to blame for allowing bad form and slipping standards to continue until the point of no return...
      My take on "leadership within the team" is for the late season capitulation, where there were still opportunities to rescue themselves, but for some reason losses like the ones against the Bulldogs and Dolphin's have people scratching their heads...

      @LegionairMusic 25 дней назад

      @@Plugitinbbythat "stacked" roster is a facade. They've been exposed time and time again with their lack of footy IQ and understanding of defensive patterns. In attack, they rely on moments of individual brilliance but other teams have figured their attack out and they still can't adapt to the changing nuances of the game. Out of their top 30 roster, only Carrigan, Haas, Staggs and Walsh would be guaranteed starters in another club. A lot of athletic ability in there but not much mental fortitude to win at any cost.

    The Broncos are allowed to have a bad season, something that EVERY TEAM IN THE NRL goes through. But because they are one of the Big 5 franchises, analysts freak out that they aren't successful absolutely all of the time. The All Blacks Conundrum.

  • @kimzammit185
    @kimzammit185 22 дня назад

    I think they rely to heavily on Reynolds, the rest of the team needs to stand up. If Carrigan is the future captain like Tallis has stated he needed to take the reigns and make his voice heard while Reynolds was injured. They've let to much experience go, if they held onto Capewell they might have still had enough experience there to make the 8 this year, but letting him go along with Flegler and Farnworth has exposed some big gaps in their experience on the field. Maybe salary cap pressures brought this on, paying Haas the high figure he was asking for might be back to bight them in the back side.
