Absolutely, I think 10/10 actors my mind goes immediately to Jake. He’s likable and relatable on screen while also being able to be menacing and haunting to the viewer. He is a 10 no doubt.

I can already tell that Gaga is going to have a very successful acting career. Jake never praises himself and always gives credits to others but I want you all to know that This man chewed gums for weeks, ate kale salad every day, ran 15 miles continuously for Nightcrawler and for 6 months, he worked out 6 hours a day , 7 days a week, did 2000 sit-ups a day, push-ups, dips, flipped 350-pound tires and ran 8 miles 5 times a week for Southpaw. While training for End of Watch, he spent 12 hours a day riding along with LAPD officers. He watched about 100 interrogation videos for his one of scenes in prisoners. Those face ticking and all were his ideas. For Sisters Brothers movie, Jake did research and consulted a linguist in order to transcribe all his dialogues into phonetics.
Gaga is similarly committed and humble which is why I'm loving this duo!! I would love to see them in a project together, and I say project because it could be a film, a series or even a song (looking at you, Bradley).

It's a seemingly small thing but I love that Gaga always thanks him for the compliments. She very clearly says "thank you", because she's smart enough to recognize that false modesty is not helpful. That recognition of kindness matters, and she's accepting of his positive words. That speaks to a very well established and honest persona, false people will often go "oh stop!" or "you're better!" or whatever. She's grounded enough to accept it and thank him, clearly and without breaking eye contact.
End of watch is a extremely underrated movie that deserved way more attention than it received. I cannot believe that Jake Gyllenhaal still has not won an Oscar! She has such incredible talent and to think that A Star is Born was her first big part in a movie. Props to Bradley Cooper for giving her a chance when so many others wouldn’t because now we get to see her in more roles! Honestly super excited to see Joker 2 if its a musical and she’s in it (might even make me watch the first one). Watching this interview and I know Gyllenhaal doesn't believe in 'method acting' lol but I'm glad he's very respectful towards Gaga's process and is engaged with her responses. This interview was so good that i had moments I needed to pause and just process. I love their dynamic together & the intricate complexity of the characters is so satisfying when explained.
It seems that at the end Jake was trying to gently tell Gaga that she really needs the tools to protect herself, so she can navigate roles and real life more easily. I wonder if Heath was on his mind in that moment cos the parallels of her getting so involved in the character are similar to what Heath was doing with the Joker.

It's a seemingly small thing but I love that Gaga always thanks him for the compliments. She very clearly says "thank you", because she's smart enough to recognize that false modesty is not helpful. That recognition of kindness matters, and she's accepting of his positive words. That speaks to a very well established and honest persona, false people will often go "oh stop!" or "you're better!" or whatever. She's grounded enough to accept it and thank him, clearly and without breaking eye contact.
End of watch is a extremely underrated movie that deserved way more attention than it received. I cannot believe that Jake Gyllenhaal still has not won an Oscar! Jake Gyllenhaal is an amazing actor who will go to sew many lengths and depths in his soul and he does it so profoundly and so amazingly well.
Jake Gyllenhal is pretty much a master at his craft and he deserves an Oscar!
He's got lots of other awards, like BAFTA, etc...he's going back to Broadway, so he might get the Tony before the Oscar. He's definitely long overdue.

Then she caught how self-serving that was since he has 15 years on her in the movies she’s been in, and, she says, “Because, you’ve done so much, too”. 😂😂

Lady Gaga is talented but Jake is in different level of acting. After decade of being a Movie star he still humbles when he gets a complement. When he said the movie character is in pain and wants to be a better person and express himself struck home with me.

I strongly admire & respect her for always being true to herself + believing in herself despite anyone else's opinion. If she ever becomes a mother, her kids will have quite the role model. ✨

She has such incredible talent and to think that A Star is Born was her first big part in a movie. Props to Bradley Cooper for giving her a chance when so many others wouldn’t because now we get to see her in more roles! Honestly super excited to see Joker 2 if its a musical and she’s in it (might even make me watch the first one).
Also, shout out to Jake cause he knows how many roles she’s had and he didn’t treat her less or talk down to her. I feel like some people might not have had that level of conversation with Gaga and it was such an interesting interview going both ways.

Watching this interview and I know Gyllenhaal doesn't believe in 'method acting' lol but I'm glad he's very respectful towards Gaga's process and is engaged with her responses. As a singer she probably has to tear down a whole lot of barrier when it comes to proving herself as an actor, hope she'll continue to have success on this path.

I think it's great that he keeps mentioning about staying safe mentally in this video, because he also apparently goes to the extreme to prepare for his roles. I think he mentioned that he wants to take more "fun" roles now for the sake of his mental health so good for him.

It seems that at the end Jake was trying to gently tell Gaga that she really needs the tools to protect herself, so she can navigate roles and real life more easily. I wonder if Heath was on his mind in that moment cos the parallels of her getting so involved in the character are similar to what Heath was doing with the Joker.
