1st verse is mix of pure nu metal, giving lil bit of hardcore vibe also giving death core narly growl vocals.. immediately giving punk rock vibe too. And with nasty breakdown and at the end of the song pure grind core. Full on destruction full on pure noise.. too many efforts in one song and well done by the band mates. 8.5? I'd like to know what you rate better. For this style, it's a 10 for me. Like Minor Threat is a 10 for that style. I just need more >8.5 leads. RE: System of a Down - I wouldn't compare. SoaD seem to put syrupy gooey easy listening interludes in their metal (Chopin did this all the time and I don't like that either) which just kills the energy but probably adds enough conventional appeal to get radio air time. In fact, that chewy center is what I'd call their style. MtH has none of that and is balls to the wall full on maximum the whole way. - and there is more intensity. I also think MtH doesn't give a crap what they look like which is another plus. I like SoaD but I just wouldn't compare.

It really shows in their approach to the music, and their lyrics. This song itself is better than so many Slipknot of SOD songs, because it was never made by them. I've heard Slipknot's and SOD's full discographies, and I haven't heard a drop as powerful as 2:47 on this song. Still gives me goosebumps after many, many years.
