Alpine8 I agree. It was the shirt that proved to me that he is just not head coach material. It’s one thing to only need to learn some fine points that can only be learned on the job. He is far from that point in my opinion.
I'm going thru a rough patch in my relationship and hearing those opening and closing statements about change really hit me hard. He's right, what he said is the truth. He is so strong with his words, thank you for giving me a strong reality check, even if it hurts and it's hard. Things have to change for the better
I know it’s only been one year but this has been a disaster of a season for the Browns due to the amount of talent wasted this year. There are just better options out there to raise the ceiling for this talented roster.
Freddie has to go but the expectations were just ridiculous. You can’t go from hue jackson to the super bowl in one season. Anyone who thought was smoking crack
Logan Jones they should’ve easily been in though that’s the thing. Mayfield broke the rookie TD record last year, he has OBJ, Landry, and Njoku to throw to, Chubb and Hunt (for a bit) in the backfield. With some smart play calling they could’ve worked with the bad o-line and easily been 10-5 or 11-4 right now. Also the defense pretty good as well. Yes the record isn’t bad on paper but looking at everything they should be doing much better.
To be honest, Rivers actually looked decent to start the season...but as the team started losing, he just completely mailed it in and would not be surprised if he just wants to hang em up at this point. I think playing for a team with no home in a big city like LA really wears on him.
The Browns need a NFL coach, someone who is widely respected to manage the team and these personalities. Also higher an OC who actually knows how to call plays.
Freddie's clock management in the last 2 minutes cost his team 14 points. Dude is a trainwreck who actively makes his team less than the sum of their parts.
Why would he be perfect? What qualities does he show you that you think he could instill a true winning culture in the Browns and eventually lead them to a superbowl?
I think the Browns are afraid because they've had a revolving door of coaches for years. It's like someone whose been in and out of relationships and they just wanna settle down. They wanna make what they have work even if it's not the right person to do it with.
They need to bring in Ron Rivera, this guy got sh** canned all because of the QB situation. At least in Cleveland, there's a lot of potential, but their needs to be a proper coaching staff to lead these guys.
Not true. Ribera got canmed because he was underperforming in the NFC South. 1 SB appearance, multiple no playoff appearances, and getting swept by division opponents got him canned...
Hey Zac, (first of all, sorry I haven’t commented on your stuff recently. I still don’t know if you read comments on RUclips anymore, but...) I do have a question for you... Do you envision a perfect coach that you can see the browns hiring or going after this offseason? What suits them the most? Over the past several months, I’d been in the Mike McCarthy or Ron Rivera camp... someone who can establish a firm culture and grow on it. The Browns haven’t had that presence in forever. And of course it will take time to grow, but right now Freddie doesn’t show signs of that progress. I just hope we - I’m a frustrated browns fan - get it right.
I'm the last guy on the fire Freddie train, but the team has completely given up. The Cardinals game showed that. If they finished they year strong I'd say keep him, but they didn't finish the year strong.
The players hated him according to reports, and the Bountygate scandal will forever be associated with him. Williams will never be a HC because of that.
I think J. Haslett's big question is if he gives U. Meyer/L. Riley a "Jon Gruden" contract where on top of 100M for 10 years would be a % of team ownership of the Browns.
We need a veteran coach who will keep all the personalities in check and keep everyone disciplined. Mike McCarthy and Ron Rivera are perfect. I hope we hire one of the two
I understand why they are afraid to fire him because they have been a revolving door of head coaches. They haven't had a guy there last longer than 2-1/2 years since Romeo Crennel. They don't want Baker Mayfield to have 4 different head coaches over the span of 3 years. But at the same time it seems like he's lost the locker room and it's very hard to salvage that. You don't wanna keep the wrong guy at one of the most important positions at your organization.
The Browns had a great thing going with Gregg Williams. A better win ratio, the beginnings of a great culture, and a proper utilization of talent. A normal team would have given Gregg a full season to prove his worth. The Browns let their best qb since Derek Anderson choose his buddy to be HC.
This is how i feel about my lions with matt patricia lol

The most successful teams keep their coaches for a while. Having coaches on a hot seat is like trying to win baseball games with home runs; it does happen, but not very often. The shortest path to success for the Browns right now is to try to keep the team as it is as much as possible, retool somewhat both on the players' side and maybe some MINOR changes on the coaching staff. Coach Riviera would be a great hire, but I don't think that it would be any better than year 2 under the coaching plan of coach Kitchen (did he make mistake? Yes, but I am pretty sure he won't make them again). Coach Riviera would start over and even with all the experience he has, it would be a new system, etc... The Browns had a lot of issues to address this year and are well on their way to addressing most of them. They started with penalty problems, then overthrowing problems, and now they have to fix the scoring in the red-zone problem. They are doing it. Give them time. In their defense, they did fix the kicking :) If they let the plan carry out, I am pretty confident that next year will be the year they have a winning season.
Sad that the Browns can't have consistency in the head coach role. But agree, Freddie needs to go. The biggest problem was his handling of the offense this year, and Baker in particular, is what will lead to him being fired. Had the defense had a let down this year, but the offense shined after adding Kareem Hunt and OBJ on top of all the weapons they already had, maybe he would still have a job. They need a quarterback whisperer, and offensive genius. They passed on Bruce Arians who had a ton of experience and QB knowledge. Oops!
The Browns have been a dumpster fire for years and Freddie Kitchens, who has the self awareness of Gomer Pyle sees this and grabs a can of gasoline. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We’re afraid of change? 🤔 Crazy talking about a team who has went through the second most headcoaches in NFL history, went through a new QB every year of the 2010’s. But, we’re afraid of change 🤣
You got your wish, Zac. Kitchens has officially been sacked. Unfortunately, looks like the Browns will be doing another of their signature "failed season, reset the entire management" routine again, if the reports are true.
Craig Lopresto as a ravens fan I can tell lol. Browns fans have been insufferable on social media all year long. No matter how far the two teams diverged in fortunes I’d still hear “but we beat you guys in week 4 in YOUR house and we will again.” And they were totally serious! Even when they were 2-6. It was like dealing with an abused person, like you said.
I have this feeling that he will be back for next year. Browns excuse will be that it was his first year so they want to give him one more year to really know if he sucks lol.
Rivera isn’t the best coach but the browns should hire him because with all this talent, they just need someone competent who they respect and can rally around.
Do you really think that Dorsey is going to admit that he made a mistake no it's not going to happen as bad as we all need it to Dorsey has set the Browns back 5 years if he stays
FREDDIE NEDD MORE TIME THAT'S ALL!!! WHAT Y'ALL CAINT GIBEN THE MAN NO SLAK!!! HE BROUT YOU THIS FAR!!! WHAT WRONG WITH Y'ALL DAMM!!! FREDDIE CAN BE IN THE TOP 5 COACH!!!!
Notice that every time Cleveland fires someone they seem to hire someone who is even worse? If you are a well respected head coaching prospect with at least one other option, any other option, why would you pick the Browns? The best you could expect would be to lose less than 10 games a year and to last at least 18 months. Yes Freddie Kitchens is terrible right now, but I think you have to keep him for a while longer. You have to keep him to send a message to the next head coach that Cleveland isn't the same old dysfunctional team that fires their coach every year without fail. Maybe that way you could get someone who isn't only picking Cleveland as a last resort.
The difficult part of this situation is that the only way for the organization to change is by keeping their HC, due to the fact they have hired, and subsequently fired, garbage HC seemingly EVERY year. So keeping Kitchens would actually be the change your arguing for. I agree with everyone else in saying Kitchens has to go. But then we're at step 1 all over again with another fired coach and another new HC for Baker and everyone else in Browns country.
A perfect example of Freddie Kitchens’ bad coaching was the 14 points he allowed in under two minutes! I don’t want to bash him but the hire was bad for both parties. Freddie is getting hate and the Browns are losing their minds for the underachieving
This franchise is a perfect example of nepatism trumping experience and logic. Haslam hired Fred because he asked for LESS money than other stronger candidates for the HC position! That's a business decision which doesn't plan for long term. Nepatism, when Baker pushed and pushed Haslam and Dorsey to hire Fred, because he is much nicer than tough Gregg Williams.
I’m split on this issue. I’m ok with giving Freddie one final shot next year. I’m skeptical he will improve next year, but is one and done what we have become in the NFL? Belichik was 5-11 his first year in NE. Should he have been fired? Freddie will probably be 7-9. Hue was 3-36-1. If Freddie was black, no way would he be on this hot of a seat.
It’s not just the record. It’s how the team performed. If you have a bad roster you shouldn’t be fired after the first season but Freddie has a great roster and the team has regressed and he has lost the locker room. After you lose that it’s over for you
Yeah the browns need to fire him. Seriously, I’ve never seen a more unorganized mess on the field. Kitchens and the guy before him both made Dave Shula look like Bill Belichick.
Why is no one talking about the actual coaching failure? Kitchens has been bad but The OC-Monken and DC-Wilks have been easily worse. Kitchens was a RB coach and the only consistency with the team is that RB group. Wilks IMO is the worst DC in the NFL and has wasted a top 5 defense. Monken carried over the turnovers and horrible redzone completion % from Tampa. The plays he designs are too long developing and end up forcing Mayfield into horrible situations. I get the idea behind fire Kitchens - sure. The bigger issue here are these coordinators though, Kitchens ran the offense better alone than with Monken - that speaks for loads even with how poorly Kitchens has performed. Why does no one cover this? These coordinators were very popular candidates for several head coaching positions and they utterly shit the bed in Cleveland.
The Browns need to keep Freddie, how can the Browns continue to suck without a bad coach? The Browns can't win, they are the Browns! They draft first and grab busts, they hire bums, that IS the Browns! Remain the Browns so we can all laugh and point.
I feel like the only nice thing people have to say about Kitchens is that they’d get a beer with him. I couldn’t get a beer with someone who is that dumb.
Freddie is solely responsible for 3 losses this year at a minimum. He is the weakest link on this team. His play calls and game management have been really hard to watch.
Ok, fire Freddie but using your logic, the Pats need to fire Cheat Belichick! Is Freddie hurting the whole league and his club as much as Cheat Belichick? No, but you wouldn't fire him would you?
Came for the Browns left with a life lesson
Bruh ended it with the “Pittsburgh started it” shirt
Bruh ended it with that draw play on 4th and 9
Bruh needs to use baker effectively. They need to call 2-3 step drop throws.
Alpine8 I agree. It was the shirt that proved to me that he is just not head coach material. It’s one thing to only need to learn some fine points that can only be learned on the job. He is far from that point in my opinion.
It ended when they hired the janitor to be their coach
When they hired him away from Hee Haw they should have made him in charge of the cornfields or the janitor
All you need to know if that he called a draw play on 4th and 9. That tells the whole story right there
Baker audibled to it
COUNTRY KITCHENS 😝 HAD A BILL BELICHICK MOMENT...NOT!!!😂😂😂
Ed Locke Baker didn’t audible to it, they were trying to draw the other team offsides
The first few sentences of this video are a great argument on why you need a haircut

They should have kept Gregg Williams..
Nah bountygate scandal makes him radioactive
@@johnquach8821 True..
Absolutely!!!!
He’s better off as a defensive coordinator. I could legit see him as a super bowl winning coordinator. But way to crazy for a head coach
@@MrDrMeow Agreed but he would have still been better than they were with Kitchens..What a trainwreck..
Make a video about Philip Rivers please! Do you think the Chargers should keep him or not?
Brendan Luck - time for a new qb. Rivers had a good run
Nope
He's retiring bro. He still lives in San Diego. He drives 3 hours to work. He's 100% retiring
To be honest, Rivers actually looked decent to start the season...but as the team started losing, he just completely mailed it in and would not be surprised if he just wants to hang em up at this point. I think playing for a team with no home in a big city like LA really wears on him.

Accurate
Ron Rivera would be perfect
No Logan, we need him in Dallas🤣.
autistic Hockeyguy lmaooo I mean Baker isn’t THAT bad. Rivera would help him grow imo
He would be good for CLE, but he’s no dummy. He knows a bad organization when he sees one.
Why would he be perfect? What qualities does he show you that you think he could instill a true winning culture in the Browns and eventually lead them to a superbowl?
autistic Hockeyguy the team needs to stop taking into account what baker wants. He’s the only reason Kitchens got the job in the first place.
I think the Browns are afraid because they've had a revolving door of coaches for years. It's like someone whose been in and out of relationships and they just wanna settle down. They wanna make what they have work even if it's not the right person to do it with.

Who's here after he got fired?
I am here. Thank the football greats.

I thought this title was Browns fire kitchens and I was glad until my senses came in and saw the actual title

Nate either one of them or Jim Harbaugh would be great. Start the brotherly rivalry in-division.
Ron Rivera to Cleveland?
He’s practically Hue Jackson but much more of a cancer
Greg Williams should've been the HC
Damn you pissed in the thumbnail lol
Would like to get your opinion on who you think would be the best option for the Browns if they do fire Kitchens.
Derek Simmons I agree. I think Ron Rivera
As a browns fan it hurt to see baker regress this much and not be able to overcome bad coaching, rooting for him and the whole squad

Freddie Kitchens should 100% be fired
Getting a beer with someone should never be a requirement for something. I hate when people say it about presidential candidates
What if the browns hire mike mccarthy , the packers former head coach
Should of kept Gregg Williams and made Freddie the OC
Football is a metaphor.
As a browns fan I want Rivera or McCarthy simple
After watching this video I finally got the courage to break-up with my 3 girlfriends, thank you for the strong words Zac
Come on Dorsey! I know you’re smart and you’re getting there but please make wise decisions on coaching

well... one point to give to Kitchens. at least he ain't Adam Gase who basically becomes Kaiba from Yugioh and says "screw you, i have money"
They should not only fire him, but fire him twice. Fire him, re-hire him, then fire him again.
Honestly felt they should have kept Greg Williams

Yeah and also Mike Thomas is the best receiver in the league!

I don’t think it will be a reset this year. I think they should hire Andrew Berry who they had last year and let him and Depodesta run the show
I wouldn’t say fired, I’d just say put back down to Offensive Coordinator
That's not how business works. Demotion is always worse than firing.
No good coach in his right mind wants that job. The owner needs to go. They're never winning until that happens.
Everything you said about Freddie is what Adam Gase is doing to the Jets
