    Do you enjoy more this kind of thumbnails or should I stick to the older previous style?

      I forgot to ask you, why did you switch from donic spike to p4v?

    • @IacopoDondana
      @IacopoDondana  Год назад +3

      @@DanTheSpearton I switched to P4 because with P1 I couldn't give underspin pushes at the table and since it's a shot that I play a lot I needed something that would give at least a bit of effect and with a good control

      This is good but I also like the "VS" style thumbnails that describe your opponent's style. Maybe you can combine the 2 styles?
      P5 gives the most spin on pushes of any long pips but it's not nearly as good as P4 when chopping. I think P4 is a good choice

    A good match! I've tried many LP both in OX and sponges. I was using Feint Long III and found it ok for control but nothing special when it came to imparting my own backspin. I recently switched to P4 with a 1.5 sponge and absolutely love it. I've tried P1r and struggled with control and keeping the ball on the table. P4 has really helped with this and most of my chops now fall at or near the back line.

      Thanks, I honestly prefer FL3 over P4 since it's a lot less spin sensitive and since I play with fast blades that's a crucial factor for me, as backspin generation P4 is a bit better than FL3 but not that much in my opinion

    i have to ask, because you carbon blade and it's presumable quite fast is that why you went with a victas purl p4v because of the softer sponge? I currently use stiga defensive pro, when i had put the p1r 1.5mm on it. some of my chops were going off the table and i had to be extremely delicate to control my chops. I am receiving a p4v soon and hopefully the softer sponge on a faster defensive blade will give the result im looking for.

      Hi, I didn't choose to play p4 because of the softer sponge, I only wanted to try and found well with it, but after like 2 months I decided to change again because it was too sensitive to spin and the ball often went high, I also played with Donic spike P1 on this blade which is pretty close to curl P1, and I had no trouble in controlling the length on of the chops, I guess that depends on how you chop, maybe a longer swing can help

    • @IacopoDondana
      @IacopoDondana  Год назад +1

      @@duncanwraight I like hard sponges because when you play fast, especially with a long swing as I do you can get out a lot of power but if you play slower shots, the rubber will be a lot slower and not bouncy so that it's easy to keep everything on the table

      Avevo già battuto il mio avversario in precedenza, ma il problema stavolta é stato il mio dritto, da lontano non riuscivo né a choppare né a fare controtop, in parte per la mancanza di spazio, in parte perché avevo il braccio rigido.
      Fino a che mi ha tirato sul rovescio non ho avuto problemi, quando ha iniziato a tirarmi sul dritto ho iniziato a sbagliare e mi sono innervosito, poi ho avuto tanto vantaggio che non ho concretizzato, ad esempio nel terzo set ero sopra 8-3 e ho perso 11-8.
      Poi vabbè ha giocato bene e glielo riconosco ma ho un po' buttato la partita
