i haven't commented in a bit, but i figured i would do some timestamps for this video! once again a great analysis! i cant help but admire how much passion is in everyone's voices, regardless of their vocal ability, and i'm really happy pomu shared the raw vocals (since some of the livers are more difficult to hear in the finished mix than others). and also congrats on 1k! 1:00 kotoka 7:05 shu 11:03 uki 18:04 reimu 20:37 doppio (i can't help but smile from his raw vocals lol) 22:30 aia 24:20 ver 28:19 kyo 32:18 fulgur 34:20 ike (man of __) 38:13 vox 42:28 petra 44:55 aster 45:45 sonny 48:20 selen 49:27 elira 53:45 ren 57:13 nina 59:30 pomu
Thank you so much, this is awesome! All the talents put an incredible passion into their voices here, and I'm very thankful they were willing to share it with us! Thank you for the congrats as well!
ike always sounding mixed even when hes not is so insane to me. like i had a hard time wrapping my mind around it until he dropped his 700k karaoke then i realized “oh, he really is just a real life vocaloid” lol
Uki honestly naturally just has a soft, breathy voice and his voice is just that low (every time theres a collab, someone always complains his voice is low even at 200%) (This is just so you know, also great video 👍)
Thank you for the reaction! Yes finially you know how cracked RenRen's voice is. His and Ike's vocals are on another level. You mentioned wanting to hear for from Petra. She has 5 songs on her channel, 2 duets and the rest solos. Her covers of Phony and That's Why I Gave Up On Music are amazing. I had so much fun watching this premiere with everyone💙
Thank you for your content! It’s always so insightful. I commented this before but IMO, our bois that are pretty tone-challenged in the ensemble are Doppio, Kyo (Enna-bestie helped him so he sounds better here), Fulgur, and Vox. It adds so much personality to final mix though and it conveys this “fun” vibe that wouldn’t be there if they weren’t included. Aster needs to work on his pronunciation but his tone and cute inflections are fine. Sonny’s almost there but he needs to improve with his projection. He strains sometimes but he still hits the right notes. Same with Ver. Although in his case, he needs to project more. Shu’s is inconsistent and like you said, it could be an intentionally produced effect though. Ike and Ren are *chef’s kiss*. I wish Luca’s raws were shared also. Same with the others like Millie’s, etc.
Thank you for watching! I agree, there's a couple things to work on for a few of the talents here, but overall I think everyone was able to add in their own unique element to the ensemble! I'm excited to see how the talents improve with their vocals going forward! Also massive props to the final mix. It did an awesome job of incorporating everyone's tracks cohesively for the cover!
Holyy 1 hour of content! I actually love listening to the analysis and breakdown so the long the better. It was very insightful to learn more about their techniques, thank you for the great video
My two cents on each vocalist in comparison to your reaction (also warning I write long comments): 1:07 You should listen to Kotoka's cover of Idol by Yoasobi if you haven't already! It's personally one of my favorite Japanese covers of the song due to how she switches between cutesy to creepy/belting. A lot of other covers stick to one or the other, but the switching and control in her cover are top notch imo. 7:05 While Shu doesn't have any non-group songs or covers that I'm aware of, he does have Karaoke streams if you want to hear more of him :) 11:07 When you were talking about Uki sounding like he was attempting to be quieter, I think part of that has to do with the way how he usually sings. I could also see that it seemed a bit high in his range, which could have led to the waver you were talking about. He could have also been going for some vibrato, which usually isn't great in a choral setting, but also he could be self taught (idk though) and have not known that. He does have that soft majestic air about him, and that could have contributed to how he learned to sing (if he is self taught again idk). 18:05 Ethyria (excluding Nina but who has shown a lot of singing progress) are all very experienced singers. That definitely shows up in how forward and smooth Reimu's sound is :) 20:35 The two Ps in Doppio stand for Passion & more Passion! Two times the passion! But for real Ike has called Doppio "the wandering enigma of EN and we love him for it" and that comes across in his vocals. 23:08 Damn I was really underestimating Aia's voice based on Let's Get It Started. I should really listen to that Lucifer cover you mentioned 24:56 You were talking about the air Ver was using and I think maybe since you aren't a vocalist you were having a bit of trouble describing it. I have a bit of choir experience, so I will do my best to explain (but I am a mezzo soprano so take my word with a bit of salt). I feel like Ver is one of those people who sings a lot like how he speaks, which as a choir kid is a bit difficult for me so props there. Ver uses a lot of air on the beginning consonants which makes the consonants (and therefore the words as a whole) come through more and sound less muddled. This early emphasis can lead to having less air for the rest of the note and seeming less sustained, but he seems to handle it decently enough. Stuff like what Ver is doing is helpful for the mix because pitch can always be corrected and other people are good at sustain, but the words really need to come through for the meaning so the different singers cover each other's bases. But also yeah the mic thing you brought up is a good point to note. 28:19 Kyo killed his section! He is good friends with Enna and I believe he said he got some pointers from her, but overall I think he was hiding his true power. "Can't sing" my ass. But I really do agree that the confidence is key here I gtg to my college stat class soon but I will likely make another comment about the rest when I get back
Thank you for this comment! You've got some excellent insights, especially around Ver's vocals. I'll have to check out that Idol cover from Kotoka you mentioned. And yes, I do recommend giving Aia's Lucifer cover a listen too!
I dont think you've reacted to any karaoke clips before but since u mentioned that you havent heard petra sing too much. I would just like to mention that she recently did an amazing karoke stream that consisted of around 13 duets i think. Obviously I wont request you to react to all of them but if you're interested to check them out that would be cool
@@ScribbleTheTalkingSketch thank u sm, been really looking forward to all ur uploads as your analysis' have always been really interesting to listen to. keep up the good work!

haha, no worries! yt can be a bit finnicky sometimes
Reimu's voice, she always surprise me. I hope she sings more, she really has one of the best singing voice in EN. ❤
Reimu has an amazing voice yeah!! I recommend her cover of love letter with her group on her channel I think it shows off her talent well!
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll be sure to check it out!
May I recommend Reimu’s cover of “Sorry, I’m too cute”

Oh! And Kyo did a rap segment in one of Enna’s Karaoke streams of Roll Dat Dough! You can get a glimpse of his rapping there.
Thanks for letting me know! I hope Kyo puts out some more rap stuff, I think he's got a perfect voice for it!
