    I can only remember the Odeon and the ABC (i'm 52) but we definitely used to call it "going to the pictures" I went to see Back To The Future five time at the ABC in 1985. Happy days!

    The Picture House was called the ranch due to the amount of westerns it showed

    Ian, you didn't mention the stampede to get out of the pictures before the National Anthem started! If you didn't manage this you had to stand up and wait until it finished!! By the way I remember pulling your Linda's pig tales at Chester Road. I'm very sorry!
