Have you considered running Heat Wave? Technically Starstrike Blast just falls outside of Edison since it came out a set or so after, but I think it would help you a lot going first playing Montage Dragon.
It was funny n painful to see, but honestly i think u might need some spells n traps to back up ur deck (Montage). Becuz the Meta is kinda strong than u think. I’m sure ur ideas against some decks in master duel will come to ya. At least u tried ur best.

i think montage can work with newer cards like nibiru and other high lvl monsters that do things instead of guys that just rot in the hand. and maybe more going 2nd cards like raigeki, lighting storm, duster, etc

Galaxy Eyes Photon dragon has a quick effect during the battle phase. I think that was why.
