If you had to make a bet on a team for future sunday , that will buff summons and advance the summons to strike first , together with Jing Yuan as maybe the Dps , what Team would you make?
Honestly, i'm not sure. It's too early to tell but most likely Lingsha would be the sustainer. I actually don't look at leaks so I'm not sure what his entire kit does HAHA
Back then when Jingliu was released initially, of course there was the hype of having the strongest ice dps right after the release of the most useful sustain at the time, Topaz felt so out of place in her first release because she didn't fit the hypercarry meta that was so prevalent at the time. One of the most memorable comments I've seen pre-topaz release was this one guy that was trying to convince people to pull for Topaz because she is future-proof and that Jingliu was a trap, predictably he was briefly shat on. Fast forward, even I don't use Jingliu anymore (I also pulled her LC), and the hypercarry playstyle has been phased out in favor of Super break and FUA. Sometimes I still think about that comment to this day, I could fully utilize my Ratio (finally) and would have a proper fire counter pre-firefly.
I think hypercarries are too generic. They're strong but unfortunately, the game is very niche oriented. Especially with the new enemies and mechanics they release. Tbh, that's how they get you to spend money. I'm just glad I saw follow-up as a very fun playstyle and invested in it really early. Got Topaz and her lc on her first release.
@@SaintSpade Hypercarries were so perfect for their time that they had no more room to improve, they couldn't be fit to another meta (though you could try) but ultimately, that's not what they're designed for. Personally, I'm looking out for more units like Topaz, enhancing a certain playstyle type of character, maybe in the future I'll get her in her next rerun (provided she doesn't get powercrept by then)
- i would argue 1.0 patches meta is build around hypercarry and dual/multi dps comp, evident with char that can work as subdps like Topaz, Blade or char that buff whole team like Ruanmei or Huohuo, this serve as the foundation for all current comp format (yes i believe many current best team and comp are just variation of hypercarry and dual dps comp). - i know people kinda take dual dps for granted and don't consider as a comp or meta but let me prove they did build into dual dps comp meta: on support side we have Yukong then Hanya then Ruanmei, Yukong 2 turn would fit into buffing 2 char right after her(take into consideration at the time there is not much order manipulation as now so she actually work) then Hanya burden can be hit by anyone to increase dmg; on dps side we have like Topaz for subdps but then we have combo like Jingliu Blade, Kafka Blackswan(ik she on 2.0 but let me grasp straw a bit lol) - my theory for why the banana set made is coz atm summon and fua are 1 for all current char with summon but in the future they gonna be separate, summon is summon and fua is fua, this mean they want to make summon into their own thing with exclusive support and dps around only summon and not mingle with other comp like fua. - i also believe mhy tend to develop 2 meta side by side, with example of how fua and break/superbreak was develop side by side in since 2.0 so beside summon there gonna be another meta along with it for 3.x onward. What meta that gonna be idk yet but i think it might involve abusing kit mechanic something like QQ or Rappa(she might be a test for that second meta).
@@jakeail1995 I agree that 1.0 definitely layed the foundation for current team comps we have. Although I'm not sure on whether I personally consider dual DPS as a meta; as a comp, definitely. I think a meta is something that the game is trying to push. Dual dps is more of something we figured out ourselves. Like realizing Blade and Jingliu or Firefly and Boothill synergize. DoT and FUA by default requires multiple units of that meta to make the best of it. I agree with you that summons will start separating itself from FUA in the future. Someone in my comments mentioned about the trashcan event and that they had their own HP. So I'm excited to see what they do with it. Yeah, I can't wait to see what other meta they're cooking.
@@SaintSpade i do think they did push for dual dps but not from the char side, from the content side, mainly endgame. At the start, it easy to clear stage with a hypercarry coz 99% of the mob line up is weak to that 1 dps element but as the game go within the first year, they starting adding wave with off element weakness or off element 2nd elite that technically push u to have a 2nd dps with another element from your main dps, it even more so when they release PF, where dual dps or even triple dps is encourage in that mode. Also you are a bit cap for saying Jingliu Blade combo was something player figure out when those release only 1 patch apart for each other, both have hp drain mechanic, Jingliu hp drain is team drain as well so it very obvious they did try to push for jingliu blade combo.
@@jakeail1995 i forgot about pure fiction lmao. you right. having more than 1 dps does make it easier. what i meant with blade and jingliu is that the concept of their kits revolve around themselves as being enough to solo dps. the hp drain was just a gimmick they both had. i wont deny though that they probably made them knowing they could synergize with each other but weren't specifically tailored to work together. the reason why topaz keeps getting better is because her kit was tailored to synergize with other future fua dps. that's why i dont think jingliu and blade was smthn hoyo was purposely pushing for.
Every harmony character has come as a support for the meta defining characters in the past and future , the next harmony is sunday , buffing summons , so yes it is safe to say that the current meta dps will be Jing Yuan and probably some future summoners
To clarify, I think feelscrafting is the better term. I just forgot the name lmao

I would also add that the UI for the new summon meta is from the recent trash event. And that they used that event to test summons with their own hp.

Only way summon will be meta is if summon supports(Sunday)can essentially add/change mechanics to save units like jingyuan, otherwise idk
I challenge you to farm the Banana set and not think of "Give me your banana!"
