Even I own himalayan bs4 version 2019 done 13k kms on 1 year
    Advantages😀:
    1) bike is very much good and comfortable during offroads and highways.
    2) instead of RE engine oil better to go for motul better performance low heat produced on engine.
    3) kindly ignore RE service centre and prefer good RE mechanic who loves RE they handle and know your bike and take care maintaining till now no issues just came out from RE service only after 5k kms.
    3) Tiredless drive no strain u can ride with pillion comfort on a day upto 200 to 350kms
    4) Bike can gives u feel like rugged
800cc adventure tourer after u fit aftermarket accessories with proper touring setup.
    5) One thing as if you love your bike and care them like a child it won't gives u problems or some issues than thinking of negative thoughts about machine.
    6) lowend torque is very much useful and himalayan is capable and u can drive to hill stations with bags and with pillion. bike can easily pull and climb effortlessly tested it on kodaikanal hills😎.
    7) mileage is better on bs4 and Bs6 Fi versions than Bs3 am getting 27 to 29kmpl on city and 36+ kmpl on highways.
    Disadvantages☹️:
    1) major drawback on RE Himalayan is worst ceat tyres buying 2.5lak machine they can consider and provide better offroad tyres. so i have faced lot of punctures and at road assistance RE itself providing third quality tube instead of ceat at Service center. So after 10k kms kindly go for Apollo, timson tyres 💯💯💯.
    2) U can't adjust or repair and drive if anything spare gone u have to replace it to new I had tank dent on seeing bike price increased by labour to remove I checked RE too they asked 10k for new tank that's the issue.
    3) price for accessories is high. I don't know why accessories for himalayan is high comparing to thunderbird and C350 online sale for accessories are making high rate to sale them.
    4) Major drawback is stock handle bar for himalayan is low quality I think I have changed till now 3 handlebars I have fell down while off roading and due to unbalance too.
    5) Side stand is worst thing as if we put It will stand like a centred position on bs3 bs4 version I don't know about bs6 as I heard that they improved.
    6) major drawback is power they can provide atleast 28 bhp rather than 24.8 😣 for 411cc.
Even I had a choice of going dominar BS4 2019 but it felt like more power and only for raw performance 💯 But the way look of himalayan rugged height attracted me especially granite black wow❤😍and changed myself to buy and add to garage.

Had bullet electra for 8 years
My trusted bestie mechanic made sure that it runs butter smooth (atleast under 80kmph)
Really had issues with RE's service department
Now upgraded to Continental GT 650
      2 free service left
After than I'll move back to my trusted mechanic 🤣
Same tire problem with Continental GT 650
They are very good but not the best
I don't get confidence with them on wet roads
      Rest all is cool

Nd what is your honest and final opinion in this price segment for this bike..
      GOOD BETTER OR BEST.

Thanks for the review. Its very informative. I'm considering the Himalayan or KTM 390 Adventure. The Himalayan impressed me in every department except the cruising speed. The KTM has the power advantage. Not an offroader, so the tubed tyres also gets me worried.
With the 60 day waiting period for Himalayan, its giving me ample time to think before taking a leap. Do keep updating as you go on.

    • @SpilTrez

Risk percentage is 50% because we cannot predict punctures, it's just pure luck.

    • @SpilTrez
      @SpilTrez  4 года назад

Also the stock tyres that Himalayan get are not that good in my opinion. So, changing the tyres to Apollos, Pirelli, Continental, etc would be good choice.

@@soumyachatterjee1658 I don't exactly know the cost of changing tubed to tubeless. But if you're planning to do so, you don't have to change the rims, you have fill some sort of sealant in the tyre therefore to avoid punctures.

Hi, I wished to know some things (as I'll be getting the same model as your's in a week of time). Hoping you can help a bit here :)
    1. What are your views on the RE engine guard (you've fitted)? Would it help during crashes, because I've seen engine guards of different designs on Amazon, so was wondering what's the difference.
    2. Would we need knuckle cum lever guards? If yes, then would the RE quality suffice?
    3. Would we be needing any other guards, such as master cylinder guard etc?
Just these three things bro, waiting for your views on them as an owner of the model. :)

    • @SpilTrez
      @SpilTrez  4 года назад +2

      1. Yes, the engine guard that I have is pretty sturdy and strong. It's fairly protective. Overall 8.5/10
      2. RE knuckle guards are one of the strongest ones out there.
      3. Yess, master cylinder guard is a must needed add-on.
