Lendlease Chief Executive discusses ending 'low returning' overseas developments

Lendlease Chief Executive Tony Lombardo discusses the company ending overseas developments which was a “low returning business”.
Lendlease will sell its UK and US construction businesses in a bid to unlock $4.5 billion.
“We are exiting our international construction business - it’s been a low returning business,” Mr Lombardo told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
“We’re accelerating releasing our capital in our offshore development parts of the business.
Mr Lombardo said this will bring $4.5 billion of capital “to invest back into our developments here in Australia and really grow the platform here in our home market.”

Wow, calling for gov to support one of the biggest players in the industry to build housing. We need to remember, these people do it only for profit, no good will behind it and followed by mostly terrible culture. Maybe the way forward should be to support small and medium businesses, those who really care about delivering homes to Australians.
