A cool reward for attacking a FNIX base would be to get a "experimental" wall that's similar to the FNIX in terms of durability but has like a cool effect to it like a turret that shoots out emp blasts or a upgrades to the command post itself like every two waves two hacked machines walk on to help defend your base.
I played it all the way thru at release, before any big updates, and quit. I think that was 2 or 3 years ago. I've recently started playing again, and I love it, but there's something to note, for me, I had to delete my old save file. Every loot box or crate was unable to loot, even starting a new game. But for me, this helped enjoy the game more then I would have. Good luck out there!
Trust me u won't regret it. They actually added NPCs in the beginning of the game. I had to restart to experience it. There's a way to start a new game without losing your stuff. First put everything u want to keep in your storage box. After that delete all of your characters and then start new game. By the time u reach the church you'll be able to get your stuff back from the storage box. This way it's a lot better than deleting your save file. Cause u get to keep your stuff while starting fresh. The only thing u lose is your clothes and story progress. Good luck bro.
Seriously this is one of my favorite games of all time. I've been playing since the beginning. I did stopped playing it for about a year but started playing once the Alphine Unrest DLC came out. The craziest thing was that I stumbled onto this game by accident and tbh I'm fkn glad I did. The devs really do care and actually listen to us players. Unlike the big gaming companies that only care about making money with microtransactions. That's why lately I've been supporting small companies. They care about us gamers and their games.
Harvesters are weaker than hunters though. Three shots at rockets two into the main parts of the body (either sides of the "head") and then one into a leg component and boom its dead
I invested all my cement in Gardberg specifically. Tylo can burn if it wants to, Gardberg provides a natural high ground advantage which removes the need for some walls and I love that.
I use the artillery one in the south... I have my jujebox fortified between 2 artilery cannons, a cliff behind it, a single wall around the base trailer itself, 2 emp rocket bunkers, a machine gun bunker, and 2 50 cal towers facing the single point of access to the fortified jukebox... and presdureplate spikes. The machines have the cognitive attention span of Joe Biden going to give a speech at a school but smells a kid...😂 Anyways they try to get the jukebox and I just stand there shooting them. Machinegun has AP. Cause its my 7.62 ammo ammo dump, as do the 50s... the rockets are emp primary, dual secondary And theyre easily lined up, towers are behind the bunkers, a rocket on either side of the machinegun. The jukebox is so OP
Yeah its kinda funny to just punk them everytime xD but if they ever start unloading with mortars etc we're gunna need roofs or something to help us :'D
I need to get the base expansion DLC those snipers are great Also what I do is the wood walls surrounded by the concrete walls because I don't like hard mode
Btw, there is a glitch you can use to get a higher build cap. When you have any of the base DLCs, you will only have 150 for the wall limit. However, if you join a friend who has no base DLCs (180 wall limit) and you go to their base, then go back to your world you should have 180 as your limit. Your welcome 😋 For people who have the base add ons
Thanks for answering that question. After building a couple bases with concrete i was wondering if it was worth it. BTW, you are the shock ammo master!
This is awesome, I’m wondering if my old base can survive enough waves to get enough concrete to build a new base 🤔 Would you ever consider doing a clip video reacting to our bases? /base defence? 🤔🤔
Dude thats a really cool idea, maybe i could open a chance to pop into your dudes games.. Definitely will pop that into the potential list! :D And man, the grind is pretty massive but if you keep your base rebuilt through the waves it should last (just max out the wall count, you get the benefit of quantity with wood bases!) And luckily after you get your concrete base up n runnin, the upkeep is FAR less minimal :) Cheers banovsky thank ya for watchin :D
@@TenebrisInfinite helpful pointers man! ty I’m just excited to see how/if my “trash base” concept holds up, especially since as the game evolves I might have to abandon it with AI/location/weapon/building updates
What the heck. Yeah I am pretty sure they improved the enemies. They are faster, smarter and definitely have more health now. You can't kill an apocalypse tank that fast anymore. Unless that experimental is OP. Anyway, not a chance I am building wooden. You are better off using the metal structure with the slits, but concrete is an absolute MUST by yourself. You can be very successful by adding pillars around the base to prevent damage to walls, but it's unreliable.
Yes dude, we need bullpup rifles and new snipers/shotguns most imo but any and all weapons need to happen! New pack out this thursday you'll wanna stay tuned for :D
I remember playing hard mode before base assault and it not being to bad. Than the base assault update comes out, I still have only 2 walls of resistance walls and posts. I play hard mode. I was NOT ready for the amount of tanks and hunters there was. I ended up spending around 2 days repairing the base and scavenging for the wood cause I was not ready at all for what came of it.
I’m not even sure how the hell I’m supposed to do a wave defense nor if I can even manage to survive one. I’m on monkey mode and I can’t even take out the weapons off a Fnix tank with 12 shots from a Crown 2 84mm. Hell, I can’t even reliably dip in and out of fights with a bike or motorcycle. And every 5 second it sounds like gang warfare is happening because the bots keep on shooting eachother for not reason and the Russian bots are here, even though I thought there was a quest that you had to do before they activated.
Hey wham, so the cement walls have more durability than the metal ones, but the metal ones have that window you can shoot from so they work abit better for offense instead of defense!
@@TenebrisInfinite makes sense I like to run and gun wife loves the LMGs and the rocket launchers so she covers from watch towers while I run around outer layer and would u recommend the cement over the metal ? I would definitely choose cement if you both have the resources to spare, they last much longer and need less repairing mid defense. Plus as your wife enjoys to do you can always put down towers to play the offense, scaffolding also works really nicely for creating ramparts for your walls :D
Geez, looks insanely easy get rid of all of them using this kind of bullets. If I'm try to do that, i will be killed 30 time. They also don't shoot you at all, still a side effect of the bullets?
20:40 with you saying that.. maybe it could be cool for the future to actualy have up's and downs between different materials for base defence.. like concrete beeing better against fire and explosions.. but maybe sandbags beeing better against bullets or something like that

I get that base building inspires creativity but when it comes down to it I'd simply just like to have some form of straight up base build video to essentially copy someone else. I'm not creative and I'm not someone who has excess resources to spend on building a base only to realize my build sucked.
Are you playing on easy for these? It looks like your tanks go down in no time compared to mine. I could just be a scrub, but still XD If yes, does difficulty change the base defense rewards at all? Cause if not it might totally be worth switching back and forth for farming
I play on skirmish my dude (normal diff) guerilla is saved for when im feeling like a challenge and adventure is used only for farming weapons :D but on that note game difficulty does not affect loot drops in any way, so i do actually advise safe farming on easier difficulties if you just need a bunch of cement!
