    The General that invited President Doe (9:04), was from Ghana, called General Arnold Quainoo otherwise known as the Buffalo Soldier, also a former Chief of Defense Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces from August, 1983 to September, 1989, is touted as the Ghanaian General who betrayed President Samuel Doe. The position he took affected his reputation as General leading ECOMOG to Liberia

    Your opening narration is completely wrong . Doe didn't lead a group of krahn soldiers. The 17 enlisted men of the Arm forces were from different ethnic back grounds . The most notable amongst them was Kuwonkpa .Doe didn't lead the troop thst over threw our president Willie. He inherited. That leadership role because ay the time of the coup , he was the highest ranking officer n a very good friend to kuwinkpa the ring leader of the coup.

    • @HispleMedia
      @HispleMedia  7 месяцев назад +8

      Well, in every coup the person who take over at the end is considered the leader of the coup. Besides, are you telling me that he was not aware of the coup? Secondly, it's recorded in almost every documented history that the coup was carried out by "mostly" krahn soldiers.

    Point of correction. The political slogan: "In the cause of the people, the struggle continue", isn't owned by Samuel Kanyon Doe. The late Gabriel Baccus Matthew, a once upon the time prominent Liberian politician who is also known as the architect of the multi-party system of Liberia was the person that introduced this slogan into the country's political landscapes through a political movement called Progressive Alliance of Liberia (PAL).

      The narrator never claimed a Doe origin of the phrase; he correctly said Samuel Doe adopted the slogan. An adoption or adoptee isn't of one's own invention. Your comments have the merits of expanding on the narrator's report without actually making a correction.

    • @prinzonic9896

      @@danielmark6779 And, don't you think such obscurantism by crediting the adoptee and simultaneously totally disregarding the owner of the slogan in question was being disingenuous to history and we the discussants here?! Atleast from whom the slogan was adopted needed to have been told. That was my point of contention.

    • @HispleMedia
