Mk2 Golf after Months of Sitting: Battling MILDEW, WATER LEAKS, and RUST!

In this episode of my Mk2 Golf journey, I uncovered a series of problems after letting this car sit for a few months in the Irish winter. When I opened up the car, I was shocked to find it full of mildew and with water pooled in the rear footwells. Further investigation revealed serious rust under the rear left tail light, which I plan to address in a future video. In this video, I show you how I cleaned up the mildew and removed the water from the car, I assess the damage and the next steps, and I bring it into my garage to dry out.
I share my thoughts on the likely causes of the water leak and the rust, and provide tips on how to prevent mildew and water damage in your own car. I also discuss the steps I'll be taking in future videos to address the rust and get the Mk2 Golf back into good shape.
