- I have been lucky enough to arrange a guided tour inside Newsham Park Hospital, Liverpool.
It is an amazing building with a lot of history!! It is also thought of by alot of people to be Liverpool's most haunted building.
I hope you enjoy the video.

I lived in the local area for over70 years and this is the first time I have ever viewed the Building from the inside. Thanks for the opportunity to do so.
That video brought back memories for me....🙂
I was a lift engineer at Park Hospital from 1988 until 1995.
From memory, there were three or four lifts.
09.55...The kitchen lift...went from the kitchen to the dining room. This lift was fully refurbished in 1989.
27.02....one of the passenger/goods lifts with manual gates. I used to ride on top of this lift to examine the lift shaft. I could hear old women ( not ghosts) wailing from the wards. Very eery.
30.58....i remember attending a site meeting with the hospital engineers in the cinema room, i remember the glass window panels, where the specifications of the new kitchen lift were discussed.
32.32.....you can see the two brick lift shafts from the outside quadrangle.
34.10....the remnants of thr old dumbwaiter. Thr new kitchen lift was about 4 times the load size, so could transport more meals etc up from the kitchen to the dining hall.
34.30....the new kitchen lift that replaced the old dumbwaiter.
I'm pretty sure that there is another passenger/goods lift that wasn't shown in this video, but i could be wrong.
Thanks to James for allowing access...👍
My dad told me a lot about this place as he used to live not far from there, brilliant video mate keep them coming
Hi nick doing a ghost hunt there. Soon great video the Bootle buck😮
It winds me up that this building isn't utilised, same goes for the old stone library near Everton. Always wondered what it was like inside. Cheers.
Great video. Will visit here myself soon!
Very creepy place. I Love this video.. Cheers... All the best
My first ghost hunt was here epic place please bring back the ghost hunts even if it’s just for a few months a year ❤
The hunts still happen. I'm going one in like 3 week
Brilliant - very interesting indeed. I was only talking about the place a couple of weeks ago and challenging a couple of family members to attend one of the spooky events! 😮😅
believe it or not nick,I was going to ask you last year would there be any chance of a local history tour of the said location, brill vid nick, you read my mind...top man...
VERY interesting, thanks guys.
It's great to see a building of this size with its several histories being accessible to the public. Good to know that it can earn (some of) its keep thanks to its dilapidation, hopefully to prevent it from further decline into being a structure at risk.
We have an old Victorian asylum his our town, converted into rather smart apartments now, but its stairways and corridors retain the original tiling on the walls - enough give you a shiver now and again as you make your way around.
In timescale it has had similarly varied usage but it began as a place to hide away problematic persons, whether the issues were of mental health, physical or even moral; many a young woman who had fallen pregnant outside of wedlock spent the rest of her days in that institution.
An area of woodland in the grounds is marked as the site of the graves of over 1000 of the inmates, with some of them still remembered with regularly replaced fresh flowers.
This make a great place for the homeless obviously need money spent on it
Name your tour spirit of the blues no pun intended
Although a truly magnificent looking building, i cant help but feel deeply disturbed by the likelihood of the mistreatment and abuse that the patients would have suffered.
My sympathies go to any poor soul that may have been incarcerated there.
I used to have a flat there in one of the victorian houses facing the pond, we were on the second floor. I worked at Newsham hospital in the late 70s to be honest I never saw any spooks
👍👍
Fun fact: Liverpool's most haunted building is also Liverpool's least haunted building :)
I've always thought this is bit odd a wasted building
I am led to believe that a member of Parliament visited Newsham Park when it was open and commented on how beautiful the gardens and grounds were and was told an inmate has looked after the grounds for over 20 years and when the politician met and talked to the inmate he told him he would see about his release, the inmate thanked him and as the politician was walking away a big brick hit the politician the back of the head and the inmate shouted you won't forget will you.?
Well we are blind to the majority what the people were put through. God knows what's Gone on in these places an the responsible will be judged.
Disappointed you didn't get in that coffin 🤪
Hi I'm trying to get in contact with the owner or someone who I could speak to regarding a private paranormal investigation, is there any chance you could help me out please? Thanks!
Yes I could help you out. Send me an email. You will find my email on my website
@misterdroneuk thanks a lot!! I just had a quick look and can't seen to find a website link or email unfortunately, would it be possible to post here briefly? Thank you!
Also great video this made me want to go here even more!
@@misterdroneuk I have found it and sent you an email. Thanks a lot! 🙂
What a great video mate, thanks to James for giving his time on this too.
I think The Zutons made the video for "Stacey, Look What You've Done" in the mortuary there.
How come you didn't go in the mortuary? Was you scared? !!!!!!
🤣 😱😱👻👻
Thank you Nick
I’m going tomorrow, for my 50th birthday, I can’t wait, little scared not gonna lie 😳
Thanks for this. We went on the ghost hunt last year. Great fun, lots of ghostly happenings.
I am trying to contact the owner to do a photoshoot here I can't get any information online who do I contact please x
Even just watching this there's an almost overwhelming feeling of sadness for the poor people that were put in these places. My own thoughts on the majority or these people were possessed. Not insane a minority the opposite.
Are there any plans to refurbish the building
I did this ghost night last year for my daughter's hen night
We’re you the only 2 people there can see a lady in blue @21.23
There's definitely a blue image in the door frame. Could be a reflection in the glass though.
That's a reflection of nicks arm you can make out his elbow
This is different cool nervous love to go to ghost tour good luck
