True! Brilliant! I thought...we all know very easily what water is made of cant we just make it? And yes we can for sure! I really like the environmental field as well, work as a plumber; I would like to work with you! Hello / helLlo from Canada ~ Roarr!
This well designed device makes water from energy, essentially. Using US energy prices, it seems to cost about 4.5 cents per liter, not bad for household drinking supply. However, for solving drought situations, seawater desalination is far far more efficient, costing about 0.1 cent per liter, and much less for brackish water. Both estimates have be consider startup costs, buying this machine and setting up the desal plant. Turning oil into water is eco-friendly only if it is as efficient as possible.
Desalination also requires ENERGY. Evaporation is energy-intensive, whether under normal pressure or under vacuum. Membrane processes also require much energy especially as the solution becomes more concentrated. Your argument does not hold any water.
@@Markks100 Even if every method of desalination so far has required energy, that does NOT necessarily mean that some form of desalination that has not yet been invented will also require energy. Actually there are techniques that have already been invented that don't require energy, most of which have been shelved - and the inventor either silenced, imprisoned, or kil*ed. You have to make sure that your process is inefficient if you want to stay alive and well in the Free World, and have people buy and use your product.
Umm would all those filters be over kill, especially with a reverse osmosis filter, you are condensing water vapour? Just have to keep unit hygienic and add minerals.
My school project requires me to do investigate efficiency of the machine I hv no clue where to start please share methodology you used to give idea I realy need this.
Very interesting! But I suspect if you're getting the water from the air that you're not going to be able to taste it. Namely, because it won't have any minerals in the water. Also, the water's charge might be high because of the process of extracting it from the air? Which might make it slightly acidic.
This machine adds the minerals, check the video at around 1:47. If you want to know how water generated from air tastes, take a pitcher filled with ice to a warm spot, for example outside when the weather is warm. After 10 minutes or so, taste the condensation on the outside of the pitcher. Water from air tastes fine and will keep you hydrated if there is no other source of water around.
@@walterivison1428 It depends on where you live but rain water where we live is closer to 6.0, which is slightly acidic. I imagine that's probably because it's falling through the atmosphere, so this system is probably different.
450 Watts running for 24 hours and the yield is 32 liters of water, looks expensive. Good idea though. It will increase global temp. and reduce the amount of rain.
I think youre right partly. It may only have an positive effect, when it runs on solar power, else you just replace one precious resource to another. You can get the energy needed easily with 3 Panels. You may only use this machine in places, where you have sun, but no clean reliable water source. On the raining it has practically no effect. One big problem on "dry" places is, that there is water in the air, but it comes down (rain) on another place - maybe in the ocean, where its practically "useless".
I noticed you have not responded to any questions on this video which is sad. I am hoping to get a response as we have a serious shortage of water where we live in Western Australia. Our humidity today is 16% and it is our hottest time of year. Is there anything you can suggest for us to get more water please?
Someone mentioned using these in a laundry, or wash room, to use the humidity produced from that! I suppose you could make a type of steam room, also known as a sauna. Really hope this is helpful.
learn from moammar ghadaffi. build a tunelllised river and desalination plant by the shore. use wave energy, wind and solar to run the desalination. australia can become green if you dream . as in forest and agriculture.
I'm also in Western Australia and have water tanks which I use to water the garden and for the first wash in washing machine. Currently, I distill tap water for drinking. If there is a serious shortage, I have a filter jug on hand and will use the tank water. The rain we have just received more than fills my tanks. Careful use over summer will keep me supplied.
So wouldn't water be better being taken from the outside air instead of a home since there so many contaminates inside the home? Do they also make these machines for farm animals like chickens, goats, horses, cows?
