    The water that comes from these tastes so good.. They work great in a laundry room. They should be set up in all laundry rooms for free water or charge for it.. But the humidity in a laundry room should not be wasted..

    I've worked on similar systems like this and the filters (carbon, RO) and the UV bulbs are consumable items that are difficult to acquire and become landfill - some UV bulbs even contain mercury. Its not bad if you live in an industrialized area and can afford to have the filters replaced regularly. Otherwise, the filters plug up and the machine is done for.

      The UV lamp on the later machines is LED UV with a 50,000 hr life and all filers are available online at affordable prices and can be changed by the buyer/owner, if you can afford to buy the machines then you can afford to purchase a set of filters every 12>18 months.😭

    • @walterivison1428
      @walterivison1428 2 года назад

      The UV lights have an 8,000 hour of use life cycle. So on average they will last 2-3 years as the hours are calculated on alight time.
      Filters are replaced in stagnated time frame dependant on how much water is removed daily. Generally speaking the first two filters are replaced every 6 months while the RO will last 2 years.
      We now instal a special TCR filter that’s good for 12 months. ( Total Contaminant Removal)
      Unless extended contaminant air is used Filters will not plug up and the machine is “done for.”Just not true guys let’s not be economical with the truth.

    Now put it thru a Berkey water filter, and drop a multi-vitamin,/multi-mineral into the water to make it taste better!
    The Berkey water filter system cost $250, it can last up to 8 years! Total cost for both is $410, just run the drain hose from the dehumidifier into the top of the Berkey water filter!

    This well designed device makes water from energy, essentially. Using US energy prices, it seems to cost about 4.5 cents per liter, not bad for household drinking supply. However, for solving drought situations, seawater desalination is far far more efficient, costing about 0.1 cent per liter, and much less for brackish water. Both estimates have be consider startup costs, buying this machine and setting up the desal plant. Turning oil into water is eco-friendly only if it is as efficient as possible.

    • @Markks100
      @Markks100 5 лет назад

      Desalination also requires ENERGY. Evaporation is energy-intensive, whether under normal pressure or under vacuum. Membrane processes also require much energy especially as the solution becomes more concentrated. Your argument does not hold any water.

    • @John-qn6ex
      @John-qn6ex Год назад

      @@Markks100 Even if every method of desalination so far has required energy, that does NOT necessarily mean that some form of desalination that has not yet been invented will also require energy. Actually there are techniques that have already been invented that don't require energy, most of which have been shelved - and the inventor either silenced, imprisoned, or kil*ed. You have to make sure that your process is inefficient if you want to stay alive and well in the Free World, and have people buy and use your product.

    Very interesting! But I suspect if you're getting the water from the air that you're not going to be able to taste it. Namely, because it won't have any minerals in the water. Also, the water's charge might be high because of the process of extracting it from the air? Which might make it slightly acidic.

    • @Patchouli59
      @Patchouli59 6 лет назад +5

      This machine adds the minerals, check the video at around 1:47. If you want to know how water generated from air tastes, take a pitcher filled with ice to a warm spot, for example outside when the weather is warm. After 10 minutes or so, taste the condensation on the outside of the pitcher. Water from air tastes fine and will keep you hydrated if there is no other source of water around.

      I think youre right partly. It may only have an positive effect, when it runs on solar power, else you just replace one precious resource to another. You can get the energy needed easily with 3 Panels. You may only use this machine in places, where you have sun, but no clean reliable water source. On the raining it has practically no effect. One big problem on "dry" places is, that there is water in the air, but it comes down (rain) on another place - maybe in the ocean, where its practically "useless".

      The dessert is that because it’s dry, too dry to be able to condense water from the air practically.

    • @czarlguitarl
      @czarlguitarl 4 года назад +1

      @@FrankGutowski-ls8jt false. Desert air is extremely hot, and hot air has a high capacity to store water. During sunrise, you can see the desert cross the dew point and condensation abounds. Look it up, only the polar regions lack the airborne water needed to run air compressors for liquid water harvest...

    • @FrankGutowski-ls8jt
      @FrankGutowski-ls8jt 4 года назад

      Carl Larson
      Right. Higher temp = higher capacity. But if the concentration is low (it’s a dessert) you wouldn’t expect to condense much because so little is there.
      Interestingly, I used to think that high humidity enabled sound to travel farther because the air was denser. But it’s less dense than dry air: water vapor is less dense than both O2 and N2, which it displaces. I’ve noticed a noticeable difference in how sound is attenuated at 1 mile of altitude vs sea level. It’s due to lower air density.

      Yes, but only if you are on a water fast. In that case I would add to each quart of water about one teaspoon of Fulvic/Humic Acid to replenish with bio-available minerals. If you are eating food, there is no need to augment water with minerals. Actually, most common methods for adding minerals to water result in minerals that your body can't assimilate anyway! On a side note: the pH of water is totally irrelevant because your stomach acid makes everything you eat highly acidic (duh!). Reference: renegadehealth.com/blog/watercontroversies1

    I'm not convinced about the experiment, looks suspiciously like electrolysis. I want him to use the device with the pins in reverse before being convinced.

    Anyone ever think about what mortuaries do with the body fluids they drain from corpses? Yep, you guessed it.......right down the drain into where all the other water we use goes to be treated and re-used again. Isn't that an aweful thought? I NEVER drink tap water!

    That thing must cost thousands of dollars! We need something that costs very little (under $100) and uses a solar panel for power. Andthe people in the areas with scarce water need it as well.

      Solar panels and wind turbines and lithium batteries are extremely damaging to the environment when they become landfill. The lifespan of these technologies is short!!!

    Dehumidifier, there are no scientific studies confirming what he is claiming. They have done studies on Dehumidifiers and concluded that with a Dehumidifier you can pull water from the atmosphere but you can not pull a lot of water unless it is extremely humid

    • @hihosh1
      @hihosh1 2 года назад +1

      Oh please get out of here! Stop coming with your studies confirming this or that, I have a dehumidifier in my room and especially during winter it fills up very quickly. Now if they've added a condenser, filter system etc, then yes this will work very well, granted there needs to be humidity

    whats the point of reverse osmosis on this unit? Its pretty much distilled water already, and RO will dump 95% and leave you with 5% of the total water that machine made. Kind of BS.
