Thank you for this review! I'm a regular powder foundation wearer, so I'm confused why they're saying that you can wear this "full coverage" or wet? Powder foundations are like never full coverage and they do look really patchy when they're wet?! If you give this another try, try using a dense brush, like a firm stippling brush, that's what I use on the daily and it works for me , but I do have to touch up sometimes. But thank you, this was a great review!
As someone who is super lazy using foundation, powder foundation was my go to for a long time before I discovered bb cream. If anyone is interested in a good non cakey powder foundation with a decent spf, consider either Shiseido or Kose. I have yet to find any brand that can rival them in this category. Not to be confused with setting powders.

I have very similar skin as you and i kept getting frustrated that the only people i saw raving about this foundation were people with naturally perfect skin so thank you for this! Now i know me and my oily and textured skin should avoid it lol
@@Jennifer-ns9ym I disagree! Most people can't control hormonal acne with skin care products alone. Also, for the most part, your skin texture is genetic. Sure you can improve it with skin care products ,chemical peels, and a healthy life style, but as someone whos done all three for over 10 years and obsesses over spf, I can confirm that sometimes theres only so much your skin can improve (especially on a budget). Genetics play a huge role in what skin type we have (dry, oily, combo), whether we're prone to acne, and even how quickly we lose elasticity as we age. In short lol, a good skin care routine could definitely help but ultimately most people with baby soft "glass" skin were just blessed with good genetics.
THIS is the review I was waiting for. Not from the influencers who are simping for a Loreal sponsorship, not from the tiktokers using filters and bright lights, not from the rich people with perfect skin.
I liked the smoothness of the coverage, I bought it but haven't had an occasion use it yet. I have no blemishes, just some dark under eye circles and some wrinkles. Thank you for the video. Blessings
I have combo skin and have never liked powder foundations as they always catch my dry spots and look bad. However despite the cons of this, it looks good on you!
When I was younger, I could use a wider range of products because my skin was in good shape. As I age, I am sensitive to ingredients and just have a more inconsistent result with products.
Well, she is not 60 years old or something like that. And maybe their public target is younger people, but I doubt any teen could use that either because a lot of teenagers have spots, acne and they don't have a proper skin routine, so...then what? your target is for babys? Because any people from 14 to 40 are prone to have spots, acne and other conditions on the skin.
I wore Mac for years and had to stop when I got wrinkles. It makes me look like a mask now. But MF Facefinity powder works really well with moisturiser underneath.
@@Wild.Flower I’ve tried it and I absolutely love it! I just turned 35 and it makes my skin look amazing but it’s not a stand alone product... I use it with my holy grail born this way foundation!
A good primer to use with powder foundations is the Elf Oil Control Primer Mist. Andrea Matillano recommended this, and I am very happy with it. It doesn't interfere with the application of the powder foundation, and it really does prolong the wear time. For $8, it is worth a try! ~ Anastacia in Cleveland
Quietly thanks the: Walmart CANCELLED my order due to Unavailability. 1 color was left, Ordered it in Beige, then gone the next day (I assume) Fine by me. Powder foundation was a fave of mine in my youth, when skin was wrinkle free and fresh, and was on-stage for my living. Perse was a favorite brand. Today, at age 55, I should be grateful I never received my order. *not a Tiktok-er anyway 😄 Am considering Sephora Best Skin Ever, and NARS Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. 🤷🏼♀️ My skin is craving moisture, but I detest finishes that are shiny, like IT Cosmetics CC/BB, whatevs...and I live in the most humid place pretty much year round...wish makeup free looked better on me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 💖
I work in a dental office and that's all I've been doing since the pandemic started. Before that, I'd take my mask off if I was doing paperwork or greeting people and only wear it chairside during appointments, but now since it's mask time 24/7, no need for makeup under that sweaty bad boy! On the rare occurrence that someone asks me to remove my mask, I just say "Sorry, COVID, you know" and leave it on. It's worked for me so far, but like others have said, it could definitely be risky.
@@sluttymctits4496 if I was in your place, I skipped the foundation and just wore under eye concealer and eye makeup. But I've also found the products that Don't budge under rubbing if I needed to.
I highly recommend a frequency wand for acne. Life changing! I just use it once a month now. I haven't had acne issues for years. Even helps with blackheads. The better ones with 3 prong plugs are safest. You may still be oily, but you won't have all the blemishes, trust!
The TikTok makeup trends are pretty wild. Having been a teenager in the early 2000s I already know powder foundations aren't it for me. Bad memories of that stuff
Everyone’s skin has different needs, even at different stages. In my teens/20’s I was too oily for it to cover anything. In my 30’s/40’s it was perfect for my normal skin. Now I can’t wear powder at all. It settles into fine lines, accentuating them, making my skin look worse than it actually is.
I pick my skin as well, I don’t even think about it. Then I have had the several days of remorse for the sore I created and of course it is on my face!! Usually before I am teaching. I had terrible cystic acne and hormonal acne and the picking was way worse! I am so thankful to have received Accutane therapy and now I don’t have cystic acne. Sometimes I will have a hormonal breakout and that is what will get me to pick again! I feel you Cassie!!
I miss being oily. My skin dried up over the last year. I used to get pretty oily especially around the nose and chin... used to use two blotting sheets sometimes. Dunno what happened, I guess age. But I actually miss it lol. Upside is foundation don't rub off/break down nearly as much.
My skin went from SUPER oily in my teens and then to an immediate switch to desert-dry after puberty. Both suck about equally for finding compatible foundation, but the dry skin definitely affects me more in day-to-day life. Itchy, crusty skin isn’t very cute or comfortable lol. I’d take oily back if I could
This powder foundation reminds me of the Milani powder foundation, which I absolutely love!. The only downsize with Milani, the shade range. I use their fair 01, their lightest shade, and even the fair could be a little lighter. I might try this though, thanks Cassie. You remind me so much of myself. @@laurakneiss1294 I haven't tried with this powder foundation in particular but I always use a kabuki brush with loose mineral foundations! Just make sure you tap off the excess before you buff it in 😁
I have mature normal skin with some creasing and wrinkling. I like to use a medium coverage liquid foundation as full coverage is too cakey. Then use a foundation powder over to give me the slightly more coverage that I need without settling in creasing or wrinkles.
Same. Currently I’m using the L’Oréal Infallible 24 hr fresh wear liquid foundation, and use the Make Up Forever Matte Velvet Skin powder foundation to set it and provide a little more coverage. It’s a great combo!
I tested this in a video as well and I completely agree with it being patchy! When I first applied it, it almost stuck to my skin.. I didn’t rate it either! Thanks for the honest review 💓
I couldn’t find this one anywhere. Sold out everywhere. But I tried the Maybelline 16hr powder foundation and it’s great!!! Looks like a dupe! I also like to follow up with a setting spray to help it melt in with my skin! Totally a fav right now!
Try to use The inkey list niacinamide for oily skin and allow to dry completely then add your foundation. My daughter is super oily by the time she gets off work she can fry some chicken with how oily she is. I bought her the inkey list niacinamide and she’s not oily at all after a 8-10 hour shift. She loves it.
I’m feeling oddly inspired to break out my one powder foundation (Lili Lolo). Haven’t used it in ages! Perhaps the winter will help my combo skin keep it intact this time 🙏
Hi Cassie! Have you ever tried pimple patches? I figured you might have, but was curious. I find they help an active spot heal faster! I’ve tried a few brands, so far the best I’ve used are the stupid expensive “Peace Out” ones (sold at Sephora). They’re a thicker hydrocolloid than any others I’ve seen and have good ingredients. A comparison of different stickers might be fun, if it wouldn’t be triggering 👍 Love Ya!
Hey there, I think its the primer that makes the make up oxidized darker because i have the same one and every time I use it.. it does that and makes some foundations patchy
I came across this video (and just subscribed) because of all the hype surrounding this powder. Thank you for the close up shots and the honesty. I don’t know if it’s because the tik tok recommendations come from people so much younger than me or what but I feel like they’re more hyped products are meh at best at least for me. Like this and the nyx lipstick are played up like game changers but they’re both the type of product that has been around for decades. I guess because there hasn’t been newer versions lately they aren’t aware that they aren’t new concepts but like they both perform just like the older versions before them. Sorry for the rant 😂

You need to sandwich powder foundation between layers of setting spray for them to last better, or just touch up throughout the day. I do that often because powder foundations have been the least comedogenic, most acne safe I have tried, and so despite the layering annoyance I use them a lot. It's the least annoying if you just spot conceal very minimally (I do this with IT bye bye undereye), and then do a light layer of powder fndtn on top. Less hassle.

sorry for the wait!! Hope the review ends up being worth it 💕
Me too! Been waiting with my fingers crossed.
SAME I was just looking for it earlier!
IMO, alot of foundations depend on a person's age as far as being as good as the manufacturer says.
Are you meant to swipe the foundation like that with the sponge? I feel like that would accentuate dry patches maybe?
You should try the hydrocolloid bandaids on you’re acne spots. It’s INCREDIBLE how fast they heal up seemingly overnight. 10/10 recommend.
THIS GIRL NEVER LIKE ANYTHING. Try to watch her reviews, always unsatisfied😆
Ahhhhh your background music is so nostalgic and calming. I love it ❤️
Can you do a video on the No 7 lift and luminate powder that everyone says is a dupe for Charlotte tilbury?
I love the Serum Foundation!
I hadn't heard about this but super interested!
@@Wild.Flower I’ve tried it and I absolutely love it! I just turned 35 and it makes my skin look amazing but it’s not a stand alone product... I use it with my holy grail born this way foundation!
@@mistyabney6755 I'm 34 so you've sold both products to me haha. I feel like an old shoe lately so I'll give anything a go!
@@Wild.Flower 😂😂😂
A good primer to use with powder foundations is the Elf Oil Control Primer Mist. Andrea Matillano recommended this, and I am very happy with it. It doesn't interfere with the application of the powder foundation, and it really does prolong the wear time. For $8, it is worth a try! ~ Anastacia in Cleveland
Quietly thanks the:
Walmart CANCELLED
my order due to Unavailability.
1 color was left, Ordered it in Beige, then gone the next day (I assume)
Fine by me.
Powder foundation was a fave of mine in my youth, when skin was wrinkle free and fresh, and was on-stage for my living. Perse was a favorite brand.
Today, at age 55, I should be grateful I never received my order.
*not a Tiktok-er anyway 😄
Am considering Sephora Best Skin Ever, and NARS Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. 🤷🏼♀️ My skin is craving moisture, but I detest finishes that are shiny, like IT Cosmetics CC/BB, whatevs...and I live in the most humid place pretty much year round...wish makeup free looked better on me.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 💖
Am I the only one that puts makeup on the top half of my face because I wear a mask all day? Just wondering 😂
I’ve done that before and then have been asked to remove my mask for identification and it was so embarrassing 😂😂😭
Omg thats risky
Also, love your videos... been watching since you sat on the floor at the coffee table in your dad’s? living room haha
Yay!!!!! I LIVE for Cassie foundation reviews 😍😍😍😍😍
I always use a setting spray and blot the powder with a damp sponge best feeling ever! 💕
Do you use any Matte setting sprays?? Because sometimes this helps the foundation stay. And not wipe off so easily
I miss being oily. My skin dried up over the last year. I used to get pretty oily especially around the nose and chin... used to use two blotting sheets sometimes. Dunno what happened, I guess age. But I actually miss it lol. Upside is foundation don't rub off/break down nearly as much.
I sure don’t miss my oily skin.
I do miss my 30-40 year old normal skin that this foundation would have been perfect for.
I am a new subscriber, and I look forward to watching more of your videos! 💞
Is the power foundation or the cream to powder foundation
@@claudia6015 it's called Milani conceal + perfect powder foundation in a compact
Roll and pat this onto your skin. Less tucking on the skin.
Thanks for trying this product.
😎❤️💄Kathy 😷
I used this today before work in the OR- it looked nice all day- but just use a thin layer with a brush.
Thanks for the honest review 💓
i was allllmooost going to buy this after a few review videos THEN i saw yours and changed my mind (as i have oily sjkin too).... thank you
Love the burgundy hoodie on you. Great with your complexion.
I couldn’t find this one anywhere. Sold out everywhere. But I tried the Maybelline 16hr powder foundation and it’s great!!! Looks like a dupe! I also like to follow up with a setting spray to help it melt in with my skin! Totally a fav right now!
CVS has it online, I just bought 2 ❤️
You have 'Tik Tok made me buy it', we viewers have 'Cassie made me buy/NOT buy it' lol Stay warm.
Hey there, I think its the primer that makes the make up oxidized darker because i have the same one and every time I use it.. it does that and makes some foundations patchy
I came across this video (and just subscribed) because of all the hype surrounding this powder. Thank you for the close up shots and the honesty. It is so difficult to find youtubers that will actually go in close enough to see the face without filters! Great review, and I look forward to viewing more of your content! *also, hard pass on the powder, it sucks to be honest. My este lauder double wear is the holy grail for me*
I love your vids! I would really like to know what IS a good foundation. I have similar skin problems and looking through many of your videos I can’t seem to find the one! What is your current fave foundation?
I don’t know if it’s because the tik tok recommendations come from people so much younger than me or what but I feel like they’re more hyped products are meh at best at least for me. Like this and the nyx lipstick are played up like game changers but they’re both the type of product that has been around for decades. I guess because there hasn’t been newer versions lately they aren’t aware that they aren’t new concepts but like they both perform just like the older versions before them. Sorry for the rant 😂
Yaaaay! The review I've been waiting for. I always trust your reviews! Have a great day Cassie 🤗🤗
thank you so much Alejandra, you have no idea how much that means to me!! I hope you enjoy the video, find it helpful, and have a fabulous rest of your day ♥️
I followed you on my old RUclips for YEARS, then I found you again and instantly subbed! I missed you😭
Look girlfriend...Idk I'm gonna keep saying it...but I LOVE how REAL u r...bcus unlike other "beauty makeup girls" u even zoom in & I love it..& show the reality love love love it..
Glad you uploaded. I accidently responded to a video yesterday that was 3 years ago. I thought it said 3 mins ago. Sorry to the girl I responded to. I'm not a weirdo. 🤣
I've done that. Just think of yourself as a time traveler.
I’m more interested in your nail color here. It looks gorgeous! Do you know which polish it is?
Cassie do you ever use that oil eraser roller ball (Sorry. Don't know what it's actual name is, lol) that you got from one of your sub boxes while doing these daily tests? Maybe that can help with the oils on one day of testing? I've always been curious about that since you had said it worked so well. I'm surprised more people haven't talked about that little tool. You're the only one I've seen using/talking about it...
The first end of the day I think looks good, even though you’re a little greasy it looks more natural
Girrrrrrllll!!!! 😀❤️ OK I just found you today and subscribed immediately because you are super cool… You are beautiful… Love your personality and I’m on my lunch hour and only had time for one and a half videos LOL… But I will watch more! Yay! I just love people who are fun and confident… And it has a new very small RUclipsr lol....That is what I strive for and would like to inspire others to do as well! Love you!! 😀❤️🙏🏻😘
I have been wondering if have you tried acne patches? Those works so wonderful.
Love the video! Would you consider reviewing more vegan/cruelty free makeup? A series on this could be really cool! 🌱❤️
God the close ups are everything. you are the most underrated RUclipsr 😍🥰
Yay I was hoping yoj would review this foundation! ❤️ hope all is well Cassie!
So is it like Max Factor pancake makeup? That's the theatre makeup I used on actors and remember using it myself. It was magic.
I’m so glad you did this one - I had been wondering about it. I have used MAc studio fix powder foundation off and on for years, as well as just the regular L’Oréal true match pressed powder. I don’t ever get great wear from either. Only use if I’m in a huge rush to do makeup AND I won’t be wearing it for an entire day.
You are my new guilty pleasure to watch. 😅 You're such a fresh breath of air, so entertaining and calm at the same time, funny and gorgeous. I am looking forward to more content from you. Keep up the amazing work 😊💖
The theme son is backkk !!! So nostalgic to me :D
looooove these “xxxxx made me buy it” videos!!!
I've heard that the Fenty powder foundation is sublime. I have dry skin, but if it weren't so expensive, I'd try it.
I haven't really liked powder foundation in the past on my dry skin. Now I'm thinking this could be worth a try. Thanks for the review!
I have seen your videos about the Clinique serum foundation I love your reviews keep up the good work
I have a hunch this is the very same product they had called Infallable Pro-Matte 16HR that I have in my makeup drawer from a couple of years ago. New name but feels, looks & smells the same. 😳 Love your review! 💜👍🏽💜
I would suggest patting the powder on instead of wiping. Especially with the textured or “scab” areas.
Finally someone who shows how skin really looks like. I have very oily skin and I'm desperately looking for a good powder and foundation that won't kill my poor wallet. Please help. 😭 My face always gets super shiny and makeup 'breaks' in 1h if it's hot outside and I sweat.
What lipstick are you wearing? So perfect for you!
