When the Angelos are in formation, parrying the Proto attack will destroy all the Scudos shields' and stunt them for a while, stunning the Proto for more time, since the stun stance is the same stance where V can finish off his oponents, the Ai just goes and does exactly that hahah, I have noticed than in this battle, after the "Formation" the Proto always atacks first (there is another Formation where the Scudos attack first) so you probably interrupted/parried the Proto in the beggining and the rest is history. Adding to this, the Rawhide also has a stun property, similar to the lighting component of Cerberus, hitting an enemy enough with the Rawhide will stun it, making V capable of finishing the poor devil in this case

I see you are using the meatshield a bit more, it's an underrated ability imo, just because it wasn't that good in DMC4. Since you have 2 Snatches it became more viable, but of course it depends on the button setting and getting used to it. I mostly use it when Bats or Bahomeths ( the ice enemys, don't mistaken with Behemoths ) are around, for some reason their projectiles almost never hits you during holding someone as a meatshield, even from behind. Even the Icespike attack coming from the ground, which makes no sense haha
@AZiO yup, with EX Taunt combination it's really good, either like you said for DT refill in the end or in a beginning of a fight ( depends on the enemys and position ) to start with roughly S to fight. If you snatch and jump cancel until you reach B, uses meatshield + ex taunt, you start even with an SSS if done succesfully. But like I said it depends on some enemys, on Cainas or Antenoras it's risky from my experience, they can sometimes hit you through your meatshield. Off Camera can help too sometimes. Problem is it get tedious to setup the fight everytime, unless you want a really high score, only use it when really need it. I think M8 has the most uses of it, if you seek for consistant 6k score, sadly it's the mission with Urizen 2 fight.

It feels like he doesn't even hit as much as he used to in DMC4, even with Devil Trigger on. He has alot ground combat combo access, lots of Ariel combat prowess, access to his devil breakers which i remind you buster arm is one hit kill even for some Dt enemies, you get the bringer later on, you unlock devil trigger, if Nero is already in the midst of his attack you have the "bringer knuckle" which is OP AF with showdown. The dt shockwave when charges up is lengthy as hell... Fully exceeded attacks do mild damage like the Calibur, payline, and shuffle all get a 3x dmg multiplier when u have 3 stocks of exceed. they increased the window for the player to be able to Max & Ex acts.

I just found out that Nero's Showdown is at its strongest when consuming 5 DT bars. You can round up as many enemies as possible with DT Double Snatch and use Bringer Knuckles to stagger them while Nero is preparing Showdown, and it seems you can also use Punchline move that behaves like Round Trip to help the staggering.

Maybe they didn't care too much if it's possible to get S in every battle, they only tested the overall rank.
There are instances where you play as or fight with V, during Angelos fight, they suddenly become temporarily vulnerable near the start of battle, and then V killed some or even most of them immediately (even the Proto one). Does this happen to anyone else?
Curiously enough, that bug or whatever that is during the last fight seems to work on both characters. I did notice Proto just suddenly getting in execute range for V for no reason on DMD.
@AZiO charges Dt 20% faster. Dante's if Dt is full does +20% dmg when Dt full, -20% dmg if Dt is completely empty. If Dt is neither full or empty dmg is normal. V's cane will not bounce of enemies not stalematted & while it active his cane attack will generate an extra 20% to style boost. Those are all the buffs for using BP taunts. Nero will loose his hood & +20% generation & Dante will loose the hair style + dmg buff if they take a hit while these are on. V's BP taunt has to wear off but I think if u take a hit your stylish meter reduction for taking hits will be increased by 20%. I cant confirm V's Bp taunt 100% but I can confirm Nero & Dante buffs n debuffs.
I did not know they add some serious buffs so, that's a good reason to avoid them at least in this main run. Everything must be done with the conditions before any DLC.
@AZiO Btw Dt will cancel Nero & Dante's taunt effects + buffs when they go into Dt. Things that cause Nero to cross his arms (like the Goliaths explosive roar) even if you don't get hit, the initial blow back effect will cause the hood to go down regardless if your hit or not. Dante has to take an actual hit for his hair to go back to down.
