Rich is one of the few people in sports media who has always given Purdy the credit he deserves. It's amazing how easily you find the truth when you're not blinded by personal bias.
Purdy was average (thats being kind) 265 yards 1 td 1 int mccafrey carried but purdy did have some clutch scrambles in the 2nd half and he deserves credit for that but he needs to be much better hes been bad so far these playoffs needs to bring at least a B to b+ game against kc no more of these D+ to C games
so what is mahomes? if you’re talking about stats purdy has better stats in both rounds than mahomes has had. mahomes was probably more efficient but strictly stats purdy has been the better qb
so is mahomes “Average at best “
@@SenorAj1 43/70 61% 519 yards 3 tds 1 int vs 31st pass D and 14th Pass D with 6 pro bowl/all pro players on offense
47/72 65% 458 yards 3 tds 0 ints vs 6th and 7th Pass Defense with 2 Pro bowl/ all pro players on offense
I won't debate mahomes vs purdy again or reply to any mention of it because it isn't worth the dignity of a response 😂
Rich knows what he is talking about on Purdy, whereas many imbeciles on sport talk shows keep talking trash by denying what Purdy has accomplished so far.
Interesting how hardly anyone is talking about how the great catch by BA was initially called a defensive pass interference. The DB 100% interfered and slowed BA down, which is why the ball seemed to be 'overthrown', but the refs quietly picked up the flag after it was determined BA made a good catch. So either way, that should have been a 51-yard play.
THANK YOU. it would have been a DPI 100% refs only picked up the flag because aiyuk caught it.
Exactly. Some of these talking heads have serious egos and if it comes down to honesty vs saving face...their ego won't let them speak truth. They NEED to cast doubt, even when it's obvious that they are FOS.
speak that truth!!!
That was a DPI and the hit on purdy I believe Houston did was a RTP,but it was missed.
Dont watch Key,Sherm, skip segment on this topic its maddening
Lions fan, I'll admit, that purdy kid is LEGIT STAR.
Your line is legit. Made our highly paid niners d line look mediocre at best
Good game and props to the lions fans from a niners fan..you guys keep your heads up you had an amazing run and season..your time will come
Was at the game, must’ve been 15k Lions fans there, and spoke with A LOT who lived in Detroit. Y’all are a classy fanbase for sure, and your team is definitely not to be messed with in the next couple years. Much respect to the Lions.
@yvngjvcrspy niners have no hate for the lions only dallas,GB,sea, philly, and rams lol
Congrats on a winning culture and a bright future for your Lions, from a life long 9er fan. You’ve got a number of great years ahead of you!
As an Iowa State grad this stuff makes me grin from ear to ear, we saw Purdy do this for 4 years and he absolutely deserves the credit.
That's awesome you got to see all that and now this.
David Montgomery was also great last night
@@tengille that's pretty ridiculous. Tons of 0-2 star QBs will be 4 year starters.
I don’t know why people hate the underdog story in year two. Last year everyone loved this guy, but this year he’s not the guy, he’s to small, he’s a game manager. This guy just put his team on his back in the second biggest game of his life and won. At 24, I was stressing about getting to the bar after work…. This kid is the face of a multi billion dollar corporation playing in front of 72,000 people. I was stressed on my couch watching this game. I can’t imagine the pressure he dealt with yesterday and still managed to focus and win!
couldnt have said it any better
Amen brother .
Preaching Brother ❤❤
It's not one singular thing actually. It's a multitude of reasons.
1. 49ers is a big franchise, so it will always be under the microscope.
2. From point 1, 49ers Quarterbacks has always been a question mark
3. BP drafted last
4. Being drafted last, he's making all the scouts and the media pundits look bad
5. He continues to play well and continue to win, adding further frustration to the haters so they double down
6. The 49ers also happens to have a bunch of star players, which feeds into the idea it's them not him
7. They have a great coach and system
I'm sure I'm missing a million other points, but the narrative is now it's EVERYTHING and ANYTHING else is the reason they're winning and not BP.
The hate is real, it's there, and measurable. I hope BP wins the SB.
I think it's because this year it was about Lamar's narrative and Dak for a while. He was a threat to both. The media doesn't like players who threaten popular players.
I'm dying for Purdy to get back to his mid-season form, for everyone to see what us 49er fans have seen, but at least he's showing he's never scared and has the guts to get it done.
Yeah he still doesn't look like he did
I am okay with this version. The clutch version
Teams figured out how to stop Niners offense. This will be a challenging game due to a stronger Chiefs defense. Shanahan needs to dig deep into his playbook with all the run plays.
Brock Purdy is as cool as Joe Montana and look a lot like Steve Young running around, rushing getting first downs...
Thats BS, Purdy was good all day yesterday except for the end of the second quarter. It was the defense that played horribly the first half.
First drive, FG missed by moody
Second drive, TD
Third drive, tipped ball led to INT (credit to the lions).
4th drive, punt (that was bad).
Half
Then FG, TD, TD, FG, TD
Nobody in the media world has yet pointed out that Purdy threw it to the spot Aiyuk was supposed to get to, but it was preceded by his running into that defensive back while looking back ahead of the deflection. I bet Aiyuk's attempts to go up for it, blocked the DB's line of sight and helped make the lucky bounce happen. Good for him to have maintained his balance. Stayed on his feet long enough to go for that bounce. That part is pure Skill!
Hi. Niner fan here. (I speak for ALL Niner Fans) We already knew Purdy could run like that. Have a nice day.
That play to Aiyuk was PI, so it wasn’t luck it was another mistake by the Lions.
It wasn't luck, it was just great offensive awareness on Aiyuk.
Yup great concentration on aiyuks part..yes lucky too..but at the sametime the defender should have intercepted the ball since it hit him square in the face..js
@@Solo49551 no, because the only reason the defender had a chance on the ball was because it was a DPI. It wouldn't have ever counted as an INT.
@jgould30 that's right my bad but woulda made for a good confidence booster lol
I really don't think it was dpi, didn't when I saw the flag and still don't see how it would have been but whatever
"Death, Taxes and McCaffrey getting a rushing touchdown."
best quip I heard from a commentator all season
The Lions' defense was always sus. But what a collapse! And Purdy made effing PLAYS. He's not just a product of the Niners' system. He's a legit star!
I love Purdy. He is legit. A star I don't know but people talk up Goff and Goff is decent. Purdy is clearly better overall. Purdy is a competitive stud at least
@@carlito_148he’s a star not a stud lmao Lamar choked when it mattered Purdy didn’t end of story top 10 quarterback
@@ivanbarroso865everyones been on Lamar’s nuts. Guess what he sucked a$$ when it mattered most. Done hearing about Lamar this year. Dude hasnt proved $hit in the playoffs. Great regular season qb
Thank you bro ! Finally people looking at the player Purdy can be. Go niners !
He's mediocre surrounded by lethal talent. The amount of times in the game other dudes had to step up to keep Baby Brock from crapping his Depends underscores this.
It’s interesting to hear everyone talk about the lucky pass to BA not being a pick but no one mentions the pass from Goff where the defender went down with the ball and the lions receiver came up with it. It’s not mentioned because the Lions lost. Every single game is filled with “What ifs”, and that’s why you got to play the game.
Why is nobody acknowledging that the INT ball was tipped when it left Purdy's hand? Not the one that bounced off the facemask, the 1st half INT. Speaking of the Aiyuk catch, even if it was intercepted, there was a flag thrown on the play that was going to be for DPI.
Aiyuk’s catch was superb, he never took his eyes off the ball and stayed with it till the end, give credit where it’s due. Hater’s gonna hate no matter how good the Niners play. Don’t blame Campbell for the lions loss , they were outplayed in the second half by the better team.
Because people WANT to hate Purdy. People don't want to believe the improbable because it goes against all convention. The last pick going to the SB, "well it must be the rest of the team, because thats not supposed to happen".
Because that’s part of football. It was a pick, deflected, those happen. He was good, don’t need to defend him against all criticism even the warranted comments lol. That’s why these haters hate too sometimes. Brock played good enough to win, not perfect, but good enough
The int and most of the incompletions were on the offensive line. Brock was getting smacked on almost every pass attempt.
If it was deflected- then dpi is off the table and is prolly why the flag was picked up... great concentration catch BA!!!
Rich. Please note that the "lucky bounce" was also a PI. so if BA doesn't catch it they woulda just be 3 yards back from where he did
Rich has always given Brock his flowers. One more game to go 9ers!
How can you hate on this kid. All he does is find ways to win!
Jealousy.
What people don’t seem to understand is that someone like Stroud who is a really good QB came to a team that he can grow with. Purdy came to a team that needs a QB to be great. There is a lot of pressure on him because a lot is expected from him. To this point he has delivered!
Fun Fact: Any interception on Aiyuk play wouldn't have counted, because a PI flag had been thrown by ref. So any incompletion or interception wouldn't have counted and ball would have been placed at the spot. so I wish pundits would quit reiterating the play as if it was an"interception miss".
Yeah no idea why they keep ignoring this. The CB screened Aiyuk and kept him from getting to the ball.
Nah that wasn't dpi
@@andrewjazdzyk1215 🤣🤣🤣Alright casual. After bumping him off the route and getting the ref to throw the flag.😆 I guess you didn't see all that. Check the video of the play again and stop it, if you need to.
@@jamesbrigham1299 The haters are so blinded, because a flag was clearly thrown. In what NFL does a PI flag not count if the ball is picked. Use your brains people.
Aiyuk’s reflective catch was just classic he just had full concentration on the ball. It was huge momentum changer!
We need such plays against the Chiefs!
As a lifelong Iowa State fan, this game was like watching your kids (Purdy & Montgomery) achieve success in their lives. They were a very potent CFB combination, along with Charlie Kolar & others... I'm so proud of/happy for them..!

Lol purdy is not even the MVP of his team.
"He was lucky", the only reason the CB was there was because he did a PI on Aiuyk a few steps behind, so if Aiyuk wouldn't have catched it, flag was already there.
100%. Brock threw to the spot he was supposed to. I don’t know why all the media are ignoring the bump on the route and the flag the refs swallowed after they thought it might have been a touchdown.
U are correct
I already mentioned to not keep using the word "lucky."
An absolute heartbreaking loss, but what a season for the Lions.
That was the Lions Super Bowl.
I'm a niner fan but I am glad that your Lions found their identity under your new coach and are a threat in the NFL. I've always routed for you guys when ya'll made the playoffs in the 90's with herman moore and Barry.
As a niners fan, welcome to the club. What’s going to happen, is the media will still say your team has major issues not winning it all, despite being a top 5 team. Ignore the haters these next 5 years, even if a championship doesn’t materialize. All fans want are teams with a chance to contend
The loss wasn't heartbreaking. It was a sickening loss orchestrated by a reckless coach. This catastrophic collapse in the second half was totally the fault of the Lions coach. Get used to it b/c Campbell is too pigheaded to change his evil ways
@@packerbacker69no way. Campbell made the right moves, it just didn’t work out. Niners made all the plays in the second half and the Lions didn’t. The Gibbs fumble was huge, that was the true momentum swing
Thank you. Brock is an incredible underdog success story. What he is doing at age 24 in his second year is amazing. 🎉 Haters can go away now.
agreed, but I bet they'll continue to hate...even after he wins multiple rings.
It was a perfect throw to Aiyuk but he clearly got bumped from PI. Would have been in the perfect position.
Exactly. Seems to be a point missed by all the "experts".
And the media that dislikes purdy says it shouldve been a pick.

??? Yes, that was Brock Purdy who "lead them back" lol come on.
@@Tmalbers21You being sarcastic? Yeah, it was Purdy who led them back. He put the squad on his back. If he doesn't play like he did in the second half, 9ers lose.
@@georgebrown4626 his 51 yard intercep.. I mean completion was majestic. @@Tmalbers21 you mean that near interception that would have been called pass interference? Lol.

Purdy "is still learning on the job" Spot on! So many are talking about him in such limiting, final terms, like he's been in the league for many years and his worst games are his ceiling - crazy! Purdy is still learning AND ascending!
A couple key dropped passes by Lions receiver’s in the 2nd half remember? When the GAME WAS ON THE LINE !!! Also you can’t blame it all on Campbell, and Purdy looked like Fran Tarkington the way he slipped and slides out of tackles. But just because the field goal wasn’t kicked doesn’t mean that he would have made it either. Cuz the Niners missed a field goal earlier
Game was only on the line by then because refused field goals. Just because you go for it on forth down doesn't you'll make it clearly.
a fumble, penalties, missed tackles, a botched punt cover and stuff also all led to the Lions loss . . . I guess I agree no one shoukd pin it all on Campbell, particularly since he is on one of the biggest reasons they got there in the first place . . .
the 9ers won but, they did it with help from the Lions . . . 🦁
Purdy was the 2nd best QB in a weekend that included Mahomes and the presumptive MVP, Lamar Jackson. And his performance was pretty damn close to Mahomes when you consider his scrambling. If nothing else, Purdy has given the 49ers a kind of resilience where they actually have the ability to stay in games down late in the 4th quarter. They didn't have that before. The guy has no quit in him.
CMC said it best. "We're very lucky to have this guy as our quarterback "
Go Niners, let’s win the Super Bowl. # 6 coming on February 11
We here in the City of San Francisco love Bambi, aka Brock Purdy. He is earnest, humble, & honest.
Thank you, Rich! You've kept saying that Purdy would take the team to SB. "Purdy good!" What a prediction and insight it is, indeed! Love your analyses. So grateful.
That deep pass to BA was pass interference so even if he did intercept it wouldn’t could cause PI so the ball would’ve been placed there too.
Bang Bang Niner Gang! What a great team win for the 49ers. Brock Purdy played like a boss when it counted!

Rich Eisen - Our go to for well reasoned level headed analysis.
Rich Eisen out here giving the kid credit and Colin Cowherd last night was already trying to convince himself that Kyle told him to run in the second half against the man defense. Good journalism vs bad journalism and tired takes for better views. Thank you Mr Eisen for keep this conversation real and unbiased
Cowherd makes himself sound like a dork every other take.
Got drafted last in Vegas and now returning to Vegas as a Super Bowl QB.
Fans who have watched Purdy for the past year and a half know all about what the nfl world is now discovering. Purdy is elite
Aiyuk said in his after game interview that the Lions DB got on top of him blocking his route. Brock Purdy didn't overthrow the ball. The Lions DB got on top of Aiyuk. BUT... Aiyuk got it!
Aiden Hutchinson was the only Lions player to have 0 tackles and 0 assists. The 49ers completely shut out the pass rush for nearly the whole game
Kittle pancaking him was awesome!
@@zanderguzman6951 You won't see Taylor Kelce making that kind of block on an all-pro lol
That's literally not true Purdy was getting hit on a lot of throws PURDY shut out their pass rush with his quick release and mobility. Miss me with that narrative the o line was terrible most the game their ranked 26th in pass blocking....
They still got pressure Purdy was elite with his footwork in the pocket and on the scrambles making up for the offensive lines mistakes
Taking advantage of mistakes is what a good team does. Also, you can’t blame Gambell for making those decisions. He knew a field goal was as good as losing. He knew they had to get a TD to put the game out of reach. So you get a field goal and tie the game. So what? That still gives the 49ers five minutes to drive down the field and win. Good gutsy call, coach!
Who knows what could've happened maybe their kicker misses too or the the kick is blocked as far as I'm concerned he's the one who brought them there
I don't even care who wins the Super Bowl but I am welled up with pride (as a Cyclone) that Brock gets a ring
LOL Well for that to happen, the 9ers need to win!
And Purdy's runs didn't end with slides or sit-downs. He fought until they forced him down.
Brock Purdy is another Tom Brady. Both were pick 199 in the sixth round. That's prophetic. In fact the comeback is the most TB12 like comeback in history since TB12 came back against Atlanta in the Superbowl. That's something you can't teach. It's the X factor.
The stage is SO big! Purdy just turned 24 and this is his second year. I understand how there are nerves at the beginning of the game. Go Niners!!
Two weeks of analysts and fans being annoyed by the swifties and the Brock talk 😂 I love it
Why isn't the narrative revolving around Purdy being back in the MVP race?
The votes happened I believe about 2 weeks ago
It’s a regular season award
Because Super Bowl MVP sounds a little better
@@colelowenstein1201 they say that, yet the playoffs always end up having an influence on the MVP.
@@cameronzwicke5761 Well all these sports journalists have supposedly already cast their votes. That said, I'm sure most of them would be happy if their votes could magically be transferred to CMC.
Incredible season by the Lions. They'll definitely be back. I do have to admit, I have been a Purdy critic all season, but he played outstanding football in the 2nd half when he needed to most. I thought that was impressive. His legs and decision-making in the 2nd half were the difference (along with Dan Campbell electing not to kick at least one FG).
Mark my words; Lions won't have another NFC Championship run for at least 20 more years. This was their one and only chance and it was squandered.
No they won’t man
I guarantee Lions are not coming back. Did you see that locker room. Players are sick of this coach. They are not running through walls for him anymore. It's patricia days all over again...
As a 49ers fan, I always supported Jimmy G, Alex Smith, and every other QB we put on the field. However, I haven't had this much faith in my QB since Steve Young. I know he can do it. Let's go Niners!
Good job Rich. It makes your job so much easier when you give credit is due. Unlike, keyshawn and skip who is still hating on brock with their “what ifs”. Congratulations to Brock and the niners. One more game. Let’s GO!!!
Rich eisen just flip flops and you praised him for it he shits on the niners all year now he gonna put them up for views
That interception was tipped. Good play by the Lions. The Niners were lucky and good. Purdy was excellent and clutch.
people think that was Purdy's fault bc he is too short
With all due respect, the Lions were 20 of 24 in 4th down conversions of 3 yards or less (80%). That mentality got them to the playoffs and the NFC Championship game. Hindsight is always 20/20 and it's not Coach Campbell's fault for going for it. It's easy to talk about it after the fact.
And that mentality cost them a trip to Vegas to play the Chiefs. When you pass on 6 almost certain points and lose by three, your decisions were wrong. If it's his decision and the players don't come through he made a bad decision and it's his fault. We give him credit and praise him when it works, so we have to be critical when it fails. That's how life works.
That interception Purdy threw was tipped. It also looked to me like on Purdy's last long scramble that #32 for the Lions stomped on Purdy's leg on purpose. Watch that play in sloe motion.
Yeah, I caught that too
He also got speared in the face after a play and they didn’t call it.. literally spit blood out and kept it moving like the DAWG he is
Now Purdy is a SB QB and hopefully this would quiet some critical analysts.
Brock purdy is a stud he got it between the ears
If purdy pull it off man this will go down as one of the greatest stories ever
CMC, Purdy, Lamar. MVP in that order.
Keep pushing the Kid…he will proof.
Vegas, Baby!
One the most exciting games ever that I have witnessed in person. And thank you Rich for believing in Brock all season. The kid is just in his first full season and he's taking his team th the SB!
If Mahomes, Lamar, Dak, Allen, Goff made the plays Purdy made in that game, they would be praised and the media would say, "look at how great of a player this guy is!". If those QB's had the stats Purdy did in the regular season they'd say how great of a QB they are. But for some reason the media just can't stomach the guy. They're idiots. If someone says Purdy isn't good, they're saying Montana or Young were not good. If being a super athletic guy as QB is the standard now (for reasons I can't understand), then lets say Manning, Brady, Rogers, Brees, Aikman, Montana are all subpar QB's too. People can't just see what's in front of them and appreciate it anymore. They gotta be controversial and look like they don't know jack about the game.
When Brock Purdy launches the ball downfield, I have absolute confidence it will be a completion. I don't think a lot of fans can say that about their QB. GO NINERS!
Right, Purdy is like Russell Wilson was...If he gets a little space....it will be a completion.... Unlike the previous Niner QB who struck terror into fans on each drop back.
So nice for young Purdy get his just due. All the sport guru's HAD to change their opinion of Brock and rather than negative remarks the sport guru's comments have turned to positive. GOOD for the young man.
Sports media has become SHAMELESS click bait inflammatory remarks meant for RATINGS...regardless of TRUTH OR HONESTY. WHAT HAPPENS IN OUR NEWS/POLITICAL ARENA IS NOW IN SPORTS, thanks to GREED.

That helmet recep was great. But PI was called against defender already.
He’s officially the “Come-back kid!!”
After I watch and listen to all the media critics of Purdy and the Niners, I always end with Rich Eisen who calms me down and confirms all of my happy thoughts. 🌝
Great game and great play by the game manager Super Bowl QB
We love Brock. We Niner fans truly love our humble kid quarterback.
You tell 'em Rich!
He was Steve Young like in this game. Which is wild because he could be the 1st 9ers QB since Young to win it all. Imagine being on a 3 person list with Montana and young.
Also Dan cambell did what Dan cambell does and if they’d worked you’d all be saying, he is a genius and while everyone else is safe he’s going for the win because he trusts his men.
As a Niner fan, I truly worry about how our defense is going to stop Pacheco. Our defense was not up to par these last few games and other QBs have rarely been truly pressured, let alone sacked more often. Our rushers don't seem to be as formidable as they were last season. And God help us if we have to see Taylor Swift anywhere near that stage if KC wins. I'll need to have a bucket next to my seat for throwing up.
I'm hoping Wilks learned vs. Gibbs. Lions have a better offense than Chiefs without the run threat from the QB. Play tighter zone and Niners should be okay. Keep an eye on Kelce and take away that security blanket.
Yes indeed, and maybe Brock should consider using his legs more by taking a page out of what he did last night. @@BloodlustLlama
@@tribzman3977 100% He has it. Don't hesitate like he's sometimes done before and take what the defense gives you.

Why has EVERY media talking head missed/ignored the fact that Ayuik was bumped and interfered with on the 51 yard pass?
"Lucky bounce" the defender 1000% impeded the route with the ball in the air, hence the flag. Dude hit the brakes on Aiyuk while he was tracking the ball
Too much use of the word lucky
I understand why people are laying everything on the feet of Dan Campbell but as a 49ers fan I feel that it's just wrong to do so. Look at the stats: Before Sundays game, the Lions went for it on fourth-and-3 or less in plus territory 20 times in 24 opportunities, and converted on 17 of 20 (15-18 regular season, 2-2 playoffs.) Dan Campbell had pretty good reason to feel good about converting. They just... went 0-2 in a huge spot.
Forget the comparisons. Brock Purdy is doing what needs to be done!
Brock Purdy deserves all the praise and credit for this win that is coming his way. But the rest of that offense should be getting a lot of credit, if not more than Purdy, for the combined effort to make that historic comeback. Ayuik was CLUTCH! Deebo was CLUTCH! Kittle was CLUTCH in a few passes and mostly with his blocking. CMC ... wasn't as much of a factor as in other games, but he came up CLUTCH when it was needed. That o-line, suspect most of the season, did just enough to keep Purdy upright so Purdy could make those spectacular throws when it was needed. I know the narrative leading up to the Superbowl is going to center on Purdy, but man, give credit where credit is due ... that offense and all its players are great and deserve all the flowers.
And our Defense decided to show up for work
I don't do twitter but who gives Brock Purdy heat? Cuz on television or streaming or RUclips he gets nothing but love
Purdy is the unquestionable leader of this offense.
If, if, if. Both teams deserved to be there. Both teams had the potential to win. I guess you can frame it as the Lions lost that game, but from my perspective, the 49ers won it. They won it through some really great plays from some really great players who dialed it up a notch to bring home the win. Among those players were Gipson, Aiyuk, Bosa, Kittle, Juice, Jennings, CMC, and last, but certainly not least, Brock Purdy. The Lions played a great game, and I'm certain they'll be back.
Some of us have been telling everyone he’s a boarder line superstar. He will be considered so soon.
Let’s go Brock! Bang Bang! Let’s bring home number 6 (I think Brock will be that missing link we’ve had in past Super Bowls we’ve lost).
He's been running the football. Where has everyone been? By everyone, I am referring to the people who get paid to discuss football and have spent hours over the last calendar year discussing Purdy.
It's great to see Kyle praise his QB like he's doing with Brock. He didn't get to do that often with Jimmy G. It's obvious how different his offense is when he has a QB he believes in and trusts.

@@borderlandish1140 We had a lot of practice sticking up for Jimmy G all those years, even when a lot of us were scared to death of what he might do. I am genuinely shocked if Brock doesn't play well, so when I hear national pundits talking down on him, it definitely inspires a whole new level of incredulity.
Seems like a lot of narratives are like "Lions gave it up", instead of "SF took it away". Lions ran out of gas and SF didnt.
Good analysis
Entering the postseason, the Niners were 0-30 under Shanahan when trailing by 7pts or more entering the 4th quarter, before Brock Purdy showed up.
Brock Purdy is managing to overcome Kyle Shanahan's weaknesses.
The media keeps getting it wrong on two separate plays. Brock interception wasn’t “forced” his arm was hit on the release and the Aiyuk catch off the visor would have never been an interception with the pass interference. Why are people calling this luck? Are we watching the same game?
Sorta sounds like a left handed compliment.
Guys, the Aiyuk play was never going to be an interception. In case people missed or forgot, there was a flag that would've been called for DPI if Aiyuk didn't come up with the catch. Let's please make sure we have the facts down.
MY NEW FAV SHOW....
The fumble recovery was prob the biggest play made! That was a huge momentum boost ! This is what championship teams are made of! 9er gang baby! Let's do this!
I just hope Kyle learned his lesson from last SB that when you have a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter, you run the damn ball!!
Thank you. Run the damn ball. You have CMC
Peowant to hate on Purdy or over hype him. I am just enjoying the show. Fun to watch.
Lamar has a tipped pass and catches it himself "OMG elite QB play " Purdy throws a pass that bounces off a defender and gets caught by Aiyuk "Purdy is lucky "
Tipped pass is mostly unpreventable vs poor decision to pass into bad coverage (for the offense) and getting a 'lucky' action that reverses what normally would be a clear interception or incompletion. This coming from a fan of Purdy, no QB, qb coach or offensive coordinator will agree with your analysis of the situation.
They won't give Purdy credit unless he run 60 yards to catch the bounce himself.
The dude clearly bumped BA and impeded his route even though he was looking back at the ball with some contact. Refs picked up the flag. Yes it was a lucky play.
I remember when 49ers played the Ravens , 2 of Purdys interceptions where from tipped passes and no one called those lucky interceptions @@cullenclark8581
@@Ras-Buju It's a 50/50 call. I believe they wouldn't pick up the flag had BA not caught the ball.
On the interception, Purdy's arm was hit as he was throwing, if I remember the play right. On the off-the-helmet play, it would have been the 49ers ball in the Red Zone even if it was intercepted, because of the pass interference call on the DB.
