Lonely is an emotion, and you don’t necessarily have to be alone to feel lonely. Alone is just a description of whether someone is with other people or not. People can feel lonely even if they’re surrounded by friends 😌
I resonated SO MUCH with Alia's take about struggling to spend time with people because you're thinking you'd have more fun alone lol like am I too selfish with my time? I connected with Alia on a spiritual level in this episode
honestly guys seeing how comfortable you are just "existing" together is so unique and incredible! it feels so natural and inspiring. you're literally a role model of soulmates. thank you for being so open and sincere about it. you give me that warm healing feeling that true friendship & love exists. it was kinda off the topic but I decided to share my thoughts in the moment. p.s thanks for another episode I enjoyed so damn much! my love to you ❤
I feel lonely all the time because I’m such a analytical and philosophical person that I feel as though nobody thinks as deeply as me. I also get easily excited about things and have a lot of opinions about dilemmas all while being a positive person and I feel like this combination is very hard to find in others, in my city at least. Thanks for speaking about this!
The loneliest I ever felt was when I moved out on my own and just being in a empty apartment with no pet and no one else was very lonely. Until I got my cat it was less lonely but still it’s just being alone and getting used to going grocery shopping alone and doing everything else alone took a while to get used to

i feel the exact same way with my partner - when i am with him, i am so comfortable and so myself that it feels as though i am alone. people do think that’s weird sometimes, but i think it’s a sign of a really healthy relationship.
i'm sure i'm the wrong person to weigh in on this, but i completely feel what alia is saying lol. i'm someone that loves being alone (even before my partner came along), so i totally get when you guys say you'd much rather hang out with your partner or be by yourself most of the time. i think it's because our partner "doesn't count" & it's just such an easy thing to do without feeling like you have to be "social" if that makes sense? but maybe we're not healthy? haha idk .. but also, not to sound harsh .. i don't care that that's how i am because it's not personal so i know that it's not coming from a harsh or malicious place. anyone that doesn't get that isn't someone that i want a friendship with.
trying to find that balance between maintaining friendships & being aware that my social battery is usually pretty low can be challenging sometimes. not to make this a male/female thing, but i feel like that's more of an "issue" when it comes to female friendships. i think the key is finding friends that understand who you are at your core & that can match that or just truly get when you're in your own bubble & not take that personally. i'm a huge introvert & i prefer, for lack of a better term, low maintenance friendships (as in we don't need to constantly be talking or hanging out). my close friends get that about me & they're the same so it's not an issue. i'd like to think that my real true friends trust & know that if they ever need me, i'm there but i'm just not someone that's always out socializing. all that to say ... people just need to find their tribe.

can you guys do an episode about you coming to America? I relate so much to Alia because I moved to the US from Albania, which is probably similar to Romania. Anyways, you guys are cool and I love how "easy going" the podcast is, it is like we are all virtual friends.

oh to have a secure attachment style haha! You guys are goals, I just worry I will always feel lonely because I have never felt understood or seen in relationships. I have an anxious attachment style though. Love to see your perspective on this. Loving the podcast!
Feeling lonely isn't about having ppl around or not .
I think it's about the connection that we feel with other ppl .so we can have multiple friend.but not feel that connection 🤷

I also resonated completely with the way Alia feels. I really enjoy my own company more than being around others. I do struggle trying to find a balance where I don’t feel I’m sacrificing my alone time to spend time with friends/family - or atleast it feels like if I don’t make efforts to give people time they might get the impression that I don’t care about them.

Bruh it’s tough out here making friends. Like my own friends are busy with their life and our schedules don’t match. But I don’t feel lonely like the feeling of loneliness that often because I really enjoy my own company.
This hit on another level. As a person whos trying to figure out life in general, being alone or lonely is a huge thing for me. I struggle with the acceptance of being alone is okay and also making friends as an adult living in a new city. Oof thank you for this! 😢❤
In regards to the “Not talking while you’re out together eating” me and my man have been together for 7 years, so now it’s gotten to that stage where we’re ok to not talk while we eat but sometimes I try to talk because I feel like people are staring at us probably thinking “Oh they’re probably unhappy” or “oh they’re probably mad” when it’s like no, we’re happy but we’re just always together that we’re not talking so much rn and that’s ok!!
I don’t know why I never feel comfortable around people, I’d always choose to hang out by myself than hanging out with someone, I’d say that I’m 100% introvert and 0% extrovert, I’ve always tried to change that because I know it is not healthy but it is just hard to do so, Or perhaps because I don’t have friends who have same passion and habits as mine🚶🏼♀️.
Listening to this I'm thinking... "of course Yoni would be able to break through the Seattle Freeze and meet people" 😂

This ep i watched+listened more to in a casual way, which was fun for a change.
Normally I'd put it on the tv, get a nice drinky (coffee, tea or something sparkling) and have a nice sit. But today I listened while cooking and cleaning

I think Yoni always manages to talk to someone in any situation as well as he doesn’t think too deep about it like he doesn’t take offense easily. Very easy going. 4:25
