@valma1208 Not really true. Aboriginal people only constitute 3% of the population. Alot of poor are actually of Anglo/Celtic ethnicity as well. Though aboriganies are definetely over-represented amongst the poor and those in jail. But its not like what you say. The Canterbury-Bankstown district of Sydney is close to the lowest average income in the State of New South Wales. Mostly immigrants, Lebanese, arabs, Greeks, Italians, Pakistanis, Koreans, Bangladeshi.......
Nice to see one of these where they actually donated a substantial amount. I've never understood how you can have MULTI-millions of dollars and yet only donate $10k-$40k "a little more when they are from the EU of course." I am not a man of means. I have a wife and 3 kids to support, no money in the bank, but at least I do have a job. I cannot afford to give to charities very often, but when I can, I do. There have been many times where I've given someone in need the last bit of money I had and have never given it a second thought. So it is really weird "I guess" that those of means wouldn't give more. I know some do and I'm not asking for those that don't to donate everything they have. Just seems to me, if you've got more than enough for you and your childrens lives. They would donate more than what is the equivalence of pocket change to them.
