Club House in Washington DC 1976...Place went pitch black and Tito started Miss Ross..I was standing in the middle of the floor in the club and I couldn't move for 20 minutes...and I still don't want no cure.....
This song is a relic of the Best of Times in dance music. Not this waving of hands back and forth, that’s not dance. I have studied the dance motions of today’s music and there is a similarity born from disco. I am 70 yrs of age and I still dance to disco and show a few movements to today’s gen. Disco is still Alive and never die. Take that to the bank....Jay from Austin, TX
I just turned 61 (today...), and I couldn't agree with You more - will always be thankful that I got to experience Disco, Funk and Soul (as well as all the other genres of great music that constantly played on the radio, back in the '70's...) in real time. Never had even a thought back then that all of that fabulous music would one day be gone from regular radio... We (with all shades of skin being represented...) danced the night away together, in clubs - everyone having a good time...💕
There was a lot of sounds that are used in symphonies and string sections.. everything today is very simple and very primitive whether it's simple piano sounds or simple bass sounds everything is very primitive and sesame Street simple now
The first time I heard this played in a club was in 1976 at the Gallery. Nicky Sciano did something very similar extending the slow intro. for a very long time. When he let it go, that place just took off and went somewhere else. People don't realize how hot and heavy this record was when it first came out. And Moulton breaks the bank with this mix. Hot hot hot 🔥
"Love Hangover" was the fourth number one single for Motown singer Diana Ross. Ross recorded "Love Hangover" in 1975. It was released in March 1976, and rose to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Soul Singles and Hot Dance Club Play charts simultaneously.
Insane remix. What is the point of 2 people not liking this ? Tom Moulton is The Don. One of the greatest disco tunes. How do I separate Love Hangover from I Feel Love ?
Love Hangover" was the fourth number one single for Motown singer Diana Ross. Ross recorded "Love Hangover" in 1975. It was released in March 1976, and rose to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Soul Singles and Hot Dance Club Play charts simultaneously. The song was written by Pamela Sawyer and Marilyn McLeod as a disco number. Producer Hal Davis recorded the instrumental track in 1975 thinking it ideal for Marvin Gaye or Diana Ross, who were his two favorite vocalists to work with. He thought Diana would be sexier on it, so he recorded the song with her. The Motown staff believed that it would be perfect for Ross to record, too. Ross, like her soul contemporaries Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye, initially resented the new musical movement but eventually agreed to record the song Hal Davis instructed the song's engineer Russ Terrana to install a strobe light so that Ross could be in the "disco" mindset.[1] As the song changed from ballad to uptempo, Ross became more comfortable with the material; she hummed, sang bit parts, laughed, danced around and even imitated Billie Holiday.[2] The carefree and sensual nature of Ross' vocals and the music's direction helped to sell the song. The song was released on the Diana Ross LP in February, 1976. The lead single from the album was "I Thought It Took A Little Time." Singing group The 5th Dimension also released "Love Hangover" as a single. Motown then issued Ross' version on 45. Both versions entered the chart the same day. By the time Ross' version of "Love Hangover" went to number one, Ross had reinvented herself as a disco diva and The 5th Dimension's version had peaked at number 80. It won Ross a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Female Vocal Performance. Motown released versions of Ross's version in 1988 (remixed by the British team PWL) and 1993 (remixed by Frankie Knuckles for the album Diana Extended: The Remixes and by Joey Negro for a single).
thru 70s mingling this legendary song emblematic of an era hits home to those not relishing following swishing of many swizzle-sticks to awaken hit with a sight of empty glasses thus a triple whammy making that phonecall to work advising of absenteeism thus a wasted day also~
What the hell? Me and Ross share the same birthday? Teddy Pendergrass's birthday is also on March 26. Okay this makes up for me sharing the same day with that gotdammed Syngman Rhee!
This version gave me what I've been wanting from the original version for years and I'm so happy i found this. I love the original but the song was so nice i just wanted it to be slow for a while longer And 16 min you the goat for that. Thank you. 💪🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Too bad we can't have fun anymore "comme avant" >> superbe chanson, super travail de remix... Is It possible still to say : I don't need cure ? ah ah !
No one had a intro like this it's has the sweetest change of pace . Back then we would work my Alex Rosner Mixer was old but how I wish I still had it that OVER part was so powerful it's looks like a Bozack Highs MIds Bass Crossover nothing big nobs , you have so much control it was that feeling
I love hearing vocal outtakes and tracksfeatured in remixes that were buried in LP mixes. But in this case, the sequence of Ross' ad libs in the original album version was perfect, as was the powerful sparse arrangement as it was punched in in the hit versions, including the No. 1 single. I don't prefer any remix I have yet heard to the original long version.
