How to win with no credits

Doing quite a few of these already, spent no credits at all and just used my ads (which can end up being a pain but economically friendly) and I’m finishing up the throwback Umaga in heroic. You can easily get the event card... at least this time.

Edit: and I tried the “mini me matching card” as a wild card after seeing Johnny Gargano’s strategy of using himself. I was like “hmmm...”
I'm a shattered player and I've found this event to be the easiest one of all of them. As a free to play player, it's been great to see, shame they'll just "fix" it for next rotation and basically lock out f2p players like they did with LMS

yeah but if your in heroic its tough you need 28mil points and theres a limited number of points
I figured also that the game calculates the base damage to the monster (matching arrow, 1 superstar) at 1% of your attacking cards attribute. For example: If the giant’s arrow is up for speed, and you match one superstar and your superstar’s speed is 900,000 then you do 9,000 damage. Same for the proc addition. If you have the bonus gear for the ability, then it’s 2% (100% bonus). Any matching bonuses also comes into account when the proc hits.
The +/- 25 to 300% (or more but not counting gears) is added to the strength of your card, then 1% is taken and then added up for multiple cards.
If you have cards that both match and don’t match, they do the non-matching cards entire total and then your matching total.

Ehh, not really outside of being put in a different division or starting point. Unless you just mean maximizing your points if you’re in the top tier.
Good tip on the "mini me" match. Wasn't aware of that one but guess that's what Gargano was hinting at (?) in his video this week.
You forgot to speak about 1 thing, if you see that you will not get above 50k points just close the game and re-open that way you can save your bout for another match and try to go for that sweet 4 tag match to get over 150k points ^^

Just in case anyone hasn't worked out how damage is calculated or for people in the future damage is calculated by adding up the chosen stat for the round from the cards selected then divide it by 100.
In short total of stats/100
Yep I said on the last video. Buying bouts is the key to getting points. Its basically buying points.

Hi...you are wrong with your tip to use the card against itself....this tip only works with the tier the giant has...for example the Owens Giant (in your video), this only works with the WM35 Owens NOT with the Cat Owens, i got the Cat Owens and tried it a few times and it nerver worked
Same for me, its shattered Dunne at the min i have wm35 Dunne and it still gives -75
If you have spare money in the bank contracts you could use them to get draft picks. Out of the draft picks, you can get gears
I actually had all 5 pow once thought it was a glitch so backed out had no idea this was a way to help

Does not work across tiers. I use Cat Jeff Hardy against WM35 Jeff Giant and get no bonus!
i just had the biggest luck ever watching your episode. So i was watching your episode and i boosted my cartds with enhancements to reach cat tier to open a ticket pack and to get the friebie and in the pack i got seth and my friebie was seth aswell
This event is the only event I’ve gotten the max reward without spending anything as a wm35 player a free cataclysm card is great!
Did you have to grind a lot
a free catalyst card is not good for someone who's in a higher rank 😒

I figured all of this out in the first 3 games of playing except the mini me bonus. The only thing I would disagree with is what I do with the gears is when I have a blue and yellow use those both so I get a boost no matter what arrow. And no I didn't buy any gears just waited till I got 1 of each
i don't like that lower tiers can't get the event card even though I push as hard as the higher players
Facts
Bro you forget force close method too . But use it without any gears otherwise you gonna lose your gears
mismatch is also completely useless cause it gives a 25% boost but its still -50% for them so it doesn't really do any good cause your still only gonna get like 10k points from it where as just using 1 arrow that matches can also give you 10k
I’ve spent 0 creds and I’ve got like over 200k points at one bout that’s without gear imagine what I would of got if I had gear at the time

I dont understand the current giant is black and I have a black wm35 pro in my deck and the secret didnt work for me it was a -75%

Gears are still not essential
As a free to play player in wm35 tier its nice to have a cat card however it would of been useful to be able to go for the heroic mode so we can at least get some of the cards from that. And not just stop at the cat uso

I made it thru the Cat without using any gears....or using credits...it was just playing more matches..I used the cards....got rid of the odd ones or ones used and did well..
When the match 4 hits...its awesome...just had a 177,000 point bout

I think they corrected 'same card following giant's arrow' later on.. It worked for me with Bryan, but when I tried it with Owens, it added less points to the milestone bar than displayed during the match

Definetely not pay to win! I hate everything about this game but this event is the only thing i like. Its acctually rewarding and easy to play.
that makes a lot more sense now even tho probs won't get bonus and the ability is just a crap bonus don't really do anything
Pro Tip you can quit when you are getting a crap score to save the bout

Great tips. Got the cataclysm card, the highest card I could get, using these tips.
jb no you don't wanna do that you put to much hope in getting a 4 arrow and it going your way you actual will get way more points if you save each usable arrow til the end so if its an up arrow first then get rid of up arrows and basically get rid of arrows that were used and I used your strat for most the time and ended up messing up and only getting like 20k and its not worth getting 20k 9/10 games for 4 arrows the get the one 150k its better to use the arrows the match and the ones that were used as soon as possible and average out 70k and its been getting me way more points than the other one and its a much better strat than just leaving it to chance
The lower cards of same does not do a double match
Everytime I get 4 same arrow cards, the giant doesn't get that particular arrow.I've got 300% only twice or thrice of the many times I've got the 4match

What if they made a extra slot ability so if you have five up arrows you get like 200,000

Honestly (I am WM35+), if I was able to get Joe, I would have gotten him for free. Sadly, the game capped me, and I can't get him. Which really, really, really sucks.
R C. Same as the RD cap. It’s a shame too considering the speed some of us f2p can rifle through this. I’m in CT tier and I get why it’s done... but I think at the very least you should be able to jump ahead and get the 2 undercards of heroic or SOMETHING. Sometimes I don’t even play RD necessarily for the event card but because the stronger heroic undercard is a pro for me. I don’t think it’s fair for others and from a business perspective, you’re stopping players from playing the game which makes no sense.
@@mikecook219 if we can grind, and I mean hard grind through RTG for the event card, regardless of tier, the same should be for this event or any event really. It's a damn shame tbh

Is there any way to remove a certain card from your giants unleashed deck? I’m trying to pro a shattered card and both of the cards are in my giants deck which prevents me from combining them.
