Even during that last fight at the end of the first movie, despite the world being only seconds from being taken out by that giant meteor, the pureblood Saiyan in Broly and Goku had them STILL fighting, refusing to stop until only the stronger Saiyan is left standing. You can even look at the DB heroes episode where he goes LSSJ4 to this as well. When he transforms and charges at SSJ4 Vegito and SSB Vegito, he stops for a second and shoots a blast at both of them. When they cut the blast in half, they charge at Broly and Broly gives a chuckle and grin. He’s completely aware of what he’s doing. Broly isn’t stupid. He’s just literally insane.

I’m surprised people never bring up the art/animation quality when broly shows up, like the moment the music starts, I noticed that the scene felt very well done there. Usually some episodes are ok or solid, but this one moment almost feels like it’s on par with episode 13, it was a great start/episode at the time and It’s sad because most people remember the episode that shida did instead of talking about this episode.
