Wasn't a fan of their relationship in S5 (other than the finale) but by the time you get to S7 their love wase so real. The divorce thing in Asylum was so weird tho.
The divorce was because Amy knew Rory wanted children and was trying to let him have that so told him she didn't love him anymore not tell him the truth. Doesn't make much sense but she lied to give him the life he wanted!
Amy and Rory are my favourite companions in the whole show they were also the first I saw I love them they are both amazing I will always miss them what a pair they are they are definitely solid companions and are a lot of fan favourites it’s a shame that Rory gets forgotten about quite a lot because he’s such a good character Amy and Rory will always be my number 1 companions and TARDIS Team
Rory standing in front of the window as the entire fleet is destroyed by the doctor and then saying "shall i repeat the question?" with that look is hands down one of rory's best moments. It was also nice to see amy's husband and her best friend bring an entire army to save her. I just hate how it all went down. It started well--with setting the doctor up as this amazing but elusive man of legend who has debts from hundreds of people to collect should he ever wish to. But then the way he ended up being bested by madame kovarian made no sense. He should've anticipated her plan b and infiltrated the facility silently weeks prior. He also shouldve stayed with amy instead of remaining in the security room. Idk why he was separated from them during the surprise attack. He would've been able to disarm the force field around the tardis and maybe prevent melody from being stolen. I get that the writers needed a way to make sure melody was still taken away, but i dont like the way they went about it. Making the doctor seem so clever and strategic and then totally ruining it with inconsistent logic felt like poor character writing.
