He is living proof of the importance of having two parents in the house who really care about their children because they want the best for them. Zain is so blessed to have that.
The parenting style adopted by his parents is actually directly quoted from Imam Ali a.s where he breaks the parenting approach into 3 modes:
1. 0-7 Years - Treat your child like a King/Queen, meaning shower all the love and give your child every possible happiness.
2. 7-14 years - Treat your child like a slave - meaning where he/she has to obey the parents orders.
3. 14-21 Years - Treat your child like an advisor - meaning take advise and consult with your child in all important family matters. Eg. Maybe you are thinking to upgrade your car/furniture/house, etc - take your childs opinion by involving them into the process.
This way- by the time a child turns 21, he/she would have become a well-balanced human being.
