I love that this was a family effort....well everything out there has been lol but I love when our parents and grandparents are the fearless ones! :-))
I had the same fuzzy feeling, but I saw Dad using 1 hand to push the think up. He has had a heart attack and wonder if having all the old people pushing that thing up is a good thing. Heidi has a brother, too, that ought to be helping.
Your grandma is a smart lady, it ain't her first rodeo for sure. The more you come to rely on battery-powered tools, the more you'll come to appreciate having more batteries always fully charged at the ready, so the fun isn't delayed. Best regards.
You ladies really know how to come up with some good solutions and get things done. Sometimes it just takes a family to raise a blind. Great victory and teamwork.
I would afix the legs to the ground and put plywood on top and set up a ground blind on the platform. Use a ladder to get up and down and when deer season is over you can box in the top.
I think your struggles have just begun. Getting all that plywood up to the deck, then pacing the roof rafters, then installing the roof rafters/trusses, and then decking and roofing it. Good luck. Can't wait to see how you conquer the obstacles.
She can walk the plywood up s extension ladder..the roof she can do a flat roof if have one wall 7 feet one 8 feet. I'm working on build three in my property to replace a free treestand.. but won't put any up till after gun season
what can i said, your amazing girl, next time you have a project let me know, i will be glad to help you at no cost, i know you have such a great team with you like you mom, dad and grandma, theyre the best.,
You two are such crafty, strong ladies. I love how much fun you have together. I think your speech is getting more country since boating times. It sounds great on you. You need a side support on all four sides. Should be criss cross on all sides. Locks the entire structure together.

OMG, I ❤ your family! This was probably the coolest video I've seen you do... cause your granny was included... and you DID it! I was rooting for y'all the entire time! Good job!
Well great job on getting the stand up. Your Mom is a RUclips Star now she is so funny. I was thinking maybe a piece of 3/4 inch plywood on top the stand that way you can have a steady place to sit or lay down while that Buck comes into your sights. This would also help if you have a blind that you can sit inside of to keep the weather off of you while hunting. Your family is very sweet and loving I pray you get yourself a nice big Buck this year.
I'm impressed with your drive and commitment to better your deer hunting. I'm an avid hunter myself, I hunt Nc and VA. But dang sweetie you really should have all of your deer stand/blind work done and completed at least 3 or 4 weeks before season starts or even earlier, to give the deer time to get use to it being there... But still good job and good ideas so far on your deer hunting improvements.
Thank you Heidi for another fabulous Video.it’s always wonderful when Getting see you building things. We the 🐺 pack ❤️loves you too infinity. Takecare Heidi
Heidi, the one thing that concerns me is the 'Wind'. You need to make sure that the wind is blowing towards that Stand from the Food Plot, otherwise the deer will smell you very easily and stay away. It's looking a very good start to a Deer stand!!
The deer won't smell her much once the blinds built..being enclosed helps kill your scent.i hunt from enclosed blinds on my property never been a issue
Excellent Job on the Tree Stand Heidi! It really seems very well constructed, very sturdy, and I'm sure it will give you much Success in the up and coming season! 2 weeks and you're good to go! 💜🧜🏽♀️🐕🦺🏹🦌🦌🦌🦌
Good job ! Now string some 2x4s on one side 16 " centers for a ladder and lay on a plywood deck then set up a temporary shelter atop that and finish it next year with a more permanent one. A couple fence posts pounded in the ground for anchors should keep it from blowing over..
Good job folks! If I were you, and since its so close to deer season, I'd build the floor and stick a ground blind on top of it for this year. Just my opinion. I'd also camo those legs on the stand.
I love your mother Heidi cherish her as Mitch as you can mother’s will be the boss always. I lost my mother five years ago Heidi and I miss her so much. I love that your Father. Mother and Grandma helped stand your blind. Where is Elo. Love you Heidi. God bless you always and your beautiful family.
I did same project last summer, I framed in top( shooting house with 3 fold up windows and metaled sides, roof and have metal sliding door and wood ladder. If I had to do temp top, I'd use pop up blind mounted to what ever floor you use. You did stellar job on base.
Suggestions, okay. Cross-brace the front and back sides just a bit higher and not at the same anchor point, to eliminate 'racking' and strengthen the structure. Now you're not going to like this part, but trust me... use the pedestal base you have as the roof and build a new floor. That way you only have to rain-proof the top (tarp, plywood, etc.), your side-rails are already in (cross-bracing) and you are a lot closer to the ground (safer and easier to get into). Deer are only looking for movement, its the scent that scares them off. Then hang a light 2x4 ladder up out of the way, on one side for access. Then smash a pumpkin in the target area to cover some of the scent.
This is my favorite video you've ever done,Heidi! So lucky to have your Mom and Grandma They say family is everything because it's the truth,!!...Stay safe!
A good rule of thumb with rechargeable tools, have a spare fully charged battery with you😉😎. Those batteries always get weak at the most inopportune time.
In Minnesota we have been out in the woods with a compact tractor and the deer walk right by it two weeks before season it didn't seem to disturb them at all they are very curious they run only the first time

Hey could just put a floor on there for now and maybe put a ground blind up there on it ?And figure out a way to tie it down or nail it so it doesn’t blow off just a idea good job so far ! 😁
You should put a floor some walls a roof and a window to shoot your bow from and call it good. Possibly add some hooks or something to hang your bow plus other gear.
You did it!!!! I love your mom and dad gram. They are great. In my opinion just get a ladder up and a cushion to sit on up there and stay away from it. The deer need to get used to it being there. It probably should have been up before now, but it will work. The deer got a couple of weeks. Heidi, my bet is on you!!!

When I read you were surprised it went up I thought you were talking about me! Now I have to add everybody's going to be telling you how do you should have done it. But you should have put the platform on end and slid the legs in horizontally plus you're going to need cross members to keep them from splaying and splitting the wood and dropping you 10 ft to the ground!
