She's strong lore wise but gameplay wise not so much
Melty Blood is a fighting game spinoff sequel to a Type Moon (the people behind "Fate") visual novel, Tsukihime. Neco-Arc was originally just a preexisting character with cat ears, but the joke flew off the rails and she became a completely separate character.
So it's Padoru all over again.

There’s nothing dumb about enjoying the Neco Arc theme. The lyrics are a masterpiece, and the tune itself inspres people to the most noble ends.
I think the man has such talent to be able to jam to it immediately, truly a thing to behold.

Neco-arc in Type Lumina is just a Gacha game as a character
Watched some Neco-Arc gameplay. In the first 30 seconds of the video she eye lasered someone with the same color scheme as Rin, then next round summoned an Excalibur of cats (Excatlibur?). 10/10 would laugh again. The Tsukihime fandom is wild.
Every single song in this version and the previous version of Melty Blood are absolute bangers.
You wholeheartedly embraced the gremlin energy of this track from the first bar and I loved every second.
The drumming improv is so cool!
The fact that they gave this theme to a character who literally has a gacha system in their moveset including them suddenly revealing a livestream to fuck with the opponent and then several other abilities truly shows that neco-arc isn’t even about winning,it’s about her covering the opponents screen with so much random shit that they give up or start button mashing and hoping to god they land a final hit.
Neco-Arc doesn't have to win. She just has to make sure you lose.

People shouldn't be really surprised that Neco Arc in lore is likely stupidly powerful because even the person that Neco Arc originally parodies(Arcueid) can be considered an "Ultimate One", more specifically "Archetype: Earth"
What's an "Ultimate One" you ask? Nothing much, other than being the *strongest lifeform of their respective heavenly body.* Yes, every planet and even the moon, apparently have their respective Ultimate Ones.
Her being considered as possibly the ultimate lifeform of Earth. Her power was described to possibly allow her to melt the ice on both poles or even play pinball with the continents. She even tried to stop the revolution of Earth.
She's absurd but Neco Arc likely trumps all of that, being a cosmic horror and all.
