for everyone who doesn’t have the pairing button (simple roku remote) hold the back and home button down at the same time for 10 seconds (buttons are right beside eachother), green light by the power button will start blinking and it pairs! took me an hour to figure out thought i’d save you the time

Thank you! I watched about 10 videos before this one that were no help. Finally I found this one and turned the tv off and back on again and it immediately started pairing with the remote. No more guessing which combinations of buttons to push and for how long. Thanks again!
The screen said it paired my remote and it works for the Roku screens but still not working for volume or on/off on the tv.

I have a GE remote as a replacement. Easy to pair. Hold the set up button until the light blinks press the rewind button four times. Press the power button. Done

Didn't work either, and it's not the batteries because I used them from another working remote.
Does that mean any IR remote can be used with any roku?
This didn’t help at all I have Roku built into my tv and my remote unpaired and it’s not an enhanced one….smh

My cousin tryed to get me to help her with hers, and same shit. I told her her stuff is pretty much busted cause she got a cheep version. Roku is half garbage cause you can't use a universal remote for it.
Oh wow that the case roku is goodfor cheap smart tvs but its not great. I ended up finding my remote luckily but if i didnt idk what id do maybe by one of those universal remotes thats also smart idk though im glad that i have it. @@justicerowe2005
Same. I bought a Roku remote that was said to with “any” Roku device and it doesn’t work at all. And the pairing button is simply not there… not surprised
@@justicerowe2005 there’s a button in the back near where you connect the hdmi cords it’s small and black press and hold for a long time

My remote stops working after a few uses. I have to take out then put batteries back in every time for it to work for a few more uses. Anyone know what it could be?
I have had the same problem and have no clue why. I just take the batteries out and put them back in and it usually works, sometimes I have switch batteries. Now I just tried to get my remote voice activated and by pushing the sync button it is no longer "synced" and I can't use it all all. I am so lost. If you figured out how to pair it to get the voice activated please let me know or at least how to get back to having a remote at all.
