Actually you can instantly tell how old a sword is by the name on the blade which is hidden in the handle and also the steel’s design. Every blade has a signature pattern that is shown. You compare that with the signature then you have age and maker. I would have a trusted sword smith look at them as those hands are exactly what is needed not the hands of an amateur.
