The woman who is lifting has impressive biceps. Indeed very elegant act of strenght and control.

The anchor woman was Eva Tovarich. The younger woman she was supporting is Tanya; one of her four daughters.

I saw them on Circus Circus Circus. It was hosted by Bert Parks.

Me, too! They were my favorite performers after the pigeon-trainer Miss Vera. :-)

Sadly, Eva Tovarich (nee Slivinski) is no longer with us. She was in her early 50's when she and her daughter (then-late 20's) performed this routine for what I think was a French TV series called "La Piste Aux Etoiles," circa 1970. And later syndicated to American television via "CIRCUS! With Bert Parks."
