One of the most useful videos. Its insane that it only has 5.500 views.
Thank you, glad you liked it. Spread the news, eh
Wow, I never realized USB-A was introduced in 1996. As a teenager in the early 2000s I still had my PC with PS2 and COM ports. I guess I bought the first USB peripherial around 2005.
Great video! It would be cool to see a similar video dealing with other power supplies.
Excellent. Couldn't ask for a better explanation. Thanks
this video deserves more views
Yes thank you guys. I needed this. I’m no longer confused..!
This video was everything!
Thank you Galco for the great video! Very helpful... : )
VERY informative and useful.
It might help if the actual cables and connectors were shown instead of just drawings.
Great video easy and fast to explain.
Thank you
0:15 can someone please tell me what kind of USB that is on the FAR LEFT is I can not find out for the life of me what connection it is even tho I see it all over the place.
The only reason I clicked on the video for and he didn't even explain it
@@courtlandwilliams4725 yup and it legit does not seem to work with any of my connections
@@Lbozoy speak or forever hold your silence
It works exactly like a usb a. It fits just the same. My Skullcandy earbuds come with it.
thnaks
0:13 whats the one on the far left?
What’s the cable at 21 seconds all the way to the left
I hope companies just all come together and say let us all use one type omg the mega headache of buying more than one cable. OH when I got my first USB C, I was like this is it this USB C is what needs to be for all ports! THis video was sure helpful!!
2:57 that is one weird looking display port....
What type do I need for my insignia tv? This video is great 👌
Nice video.
Simple and easy to understand 👍🏽
Thank you soooo much, I finally know which is which 😃!
Great video
Thank you

I realize you made this video a few years ago, but I recently came across a connector that I'm not familiar with. It's shown on your cover screen and at the 13 second mark --> the one on the far left --> only, you didn't cover it in the video (?!). Any help on this?
Same.
Its a reversible usb-A. They are hard find. I mostly see them on earbud case that have them permanently attached. I think big tech is trying to keep them hidden, so that can push for the double usb-c and the exctinction of the lightning cable
I never realised how crazy type C actually is... Sounds like the future of cabling

Anybody know what the connector on the far left of this video's thumbnail is called? I've been scouring the internet and can't find it. It's the one with the four little slits on it.
I know it works exactly the same as a usb a and it fits in a usb a port.
@:15 did he ever explain the USB on the far left?
Reversible usb-a
The DisplayPort you shown was a 30 pin cable.
So then how do I know which one I am using.!?? Mini and micro looked pretty similar in your images,I'd say, "A bit too similar.!"
Good Job, great videos - so many cables ! It's nice if they make these ports and cable connectors stronger... those USB Micro B ports break and snap off on some electronics, not fun... avoid rechargable devices with micro B ports - the ports break off and rattle around inside the useless products.
Everybody seems to forget the extra small connector used on cameras. Seems to be know as UC-E6.
I've looked on the internet, & I;ve looked at your video to see if I could buy another USB lead from eBay, Becaue I've forgotten where I last put this lead. But here;s something that your video doesn't have my lead connection. It goes to a bike video camera. So at the moment i'm using an Normal camcorder. While I wait 4 another bike camera!
Nice

Also Thumbnail: *shows lightning port*
Thanks now i understand
Hope you notice me thanks Godbless hmm because when i an charging my phone on a new charger hmm when i plugged in then on the screen it shows that the voltage is too high hmm i dont know how to fix the settings so that my charger can charge my phone.
I have TRIO band looper and the usb connector to it has smaller then usual plug in I've tried normal usb plug and it doesn't fit to transfer my music to computer?? Is this normal or is there a cable I can get that works??
thanks
If I have a USB-C cable that came with the iPhone 12, but I continue to use my old USB cable & brick, the charging speed is still the same...correct? If I use the new USB-C cable, but I buy a USB-C female to USB male adapter with my old brick, will the charging speed still be the same, or will the speed increase due to the USB-C cable? I'm assuming the charging speed increases....right? It's cheaper to buy the USB-C female to USB male adapter than a 20W brick. And most come in a package of 4 so I can use all four in several of the old 5W bricks I already have. Thanks in advance!
Usb c to lightning is faster
I wish everything used type c life would be so easy

Yeah, imagine you just have 6 usb c ports on your laptop for everything. Charging, displayport, pcie or flash drives. Everything just one connector and speed changes automatically depending on what device was connected.
Usb c and a is bestm
The question i’m asking is if you can plug in a 3.0 cable in a 3.1/3.2 port, anyone know if it works??
can i use type c charger in vivo y11?
there's one this video didn't cover. :/
👍 thanks!
So what's bigger tha. Type C?
More good learnable Animations Story/Script can be used.
It could become a more Simple video.
wait how could usb-c be an alternative to ethernet cables what woud be the improvement there?
Well it is just a speculation, and they may not, who knows what the future holds.
The improvement would be similar as in case of USB-A in the 1990's - it became an alternative to previously existing, multitude of connectors (COM, PS2, etc.). It would simplify connection and cable types. Imagine, just being able to grab your phone charger when you're somewhere and need to connect your laptop via cable.

i work in target electronics & people come in all the time asking for different usb types…. im like idk y’all i just work here
Wow
Types A and B came in together but B Quickly disappeared while A stuck around forever
is my usb 3 the same as usb a?
Usb 1.0 2.0 2.1 3.0 3.1 type a, 3.1 type b & 3.2 Are all usb type a versions.. same shape and format the speed varies upon generation..
I loathe Micro USB, it's so fragile!
Either the Fast Charging in your Samsung fries the cable, or the damn metal shield falls off.

I have usb c 😁
I had to share this too useful not to
Not enough info about what makes a good cable vs a bad cable.
Lightning because its a male into a female. All the other plugs are a male plug with a female hole that gets inserted into a female hole with male plug in the center..... the male plug inside the female hole will always be a weak point
Usb c replacing hdmi? Seems a bit ridiculous especially replacing displayport? 😂😂😂😂
Wtf is usb b
I think is the ones used for printers
According to video it is the square connector which as "clit" stated is the printer connector. So now I know what that connector is called.
@@SuperWeedPower It's also used in some Arduinos.
