- It's finally here! A few days prior to release, I've been able to bring you all a detailed preview of the upcoming PMDG 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
TONS of detail, and a long video - for which I've included chapters - to help you see, hear and experience this twin-aisle work horse prior to it's release!

This a tough crowd, I flew the triple as a captain for 12 years and it really brings me back to my old office , I can almost smell it! Great job from PMDG and I’m sure the model will keep getting better with time. Nice to finally see a real B777 in MSFS! Thanks for the preview video

Hey mathijs i know the community would make liveries for this bird but i saw qatar and Emiratis liveries and really loved pmdg’s quality inside the cabin and out, unfortunately you confirmed kuwait airways in the previous livery list but i dont see it in the new one can you kindly at least re add kuwait airways to the base 77W so we can enjoy it day 1 because i love the pmdg quality and id be super happy since my birthday is close, thanks for the hard work on the plane that will change the sim for ever.

That engine wobble just looks off to me seems to stutter back and fourth instead of sway like on the real aircraft.
Yeah first big event is - PMDG 77W release , 2nd Big release - FBW A380 , 3rd Would be - Inibuilds _A350
On the Hoppies, a reminder that we do not use Oceanic clearance requests on the network (specifically for North Atlantic)

@@Jrk585 very similar. But his sound device altered what I’m used to.
@@Jrk585 it's a bit more bassy on my actual computer but yeah having had a lot of external and internal exposure to the 777 GE90s and think it's quite close. Couple of small tweaks for flap extension noise where the sound repeats once through flap 15 with continuous deployment but that's probably because it's unlikely you'd use anything over F15 anyway for takeoff except the odd occasion

Wow, at the moment, the 777-300 ER is available on the PMDG Website for almost the price of a RL 777-300ER. The price is for SALE for 325 Mio minus 1 cent. The RL list price is around 375 Mio.
And now it's been released it's price at $77.73usd!
Makes me wish Fenix would release an A330. That would be so awesome
A peeve of mine is that people disconnect the AT on the MCP. If you do this then it disables the fly-by-wire AT protections. You should disconnect the AT using the buttons on the throttle levers.
I didn't have them bound and I wanted to use the throttles manually regardless for the approach hence the reason
The sounds needs improvement, they sound odd in my opinion
Sounds are very subjective. I'm blessed with a powerful computer with a very good sound card so in my room it sounded pretty good based on 3yrs of being crew on 777s, and having flown on plenty for holidays so overall very impressed generally and I'm happy with it as it is
Yes, the problem is that they seem to have great samples of the engines running but they can't smoothly phase between a ground idle to toga without getting weird phasing when the sound engine goes from one state to another.
But the thing that strikes me is the low ventilation sound, when I flew a lot of long distance in the 777 I would get really tired from the loud ventilation and airframe hiss.
People forget this is a preview version. I think it will be updated and tweaked before release at least, hopefully its tweaked for what it needs to be tweaked for but personally I don't want me ear drums blown to pieces.
@@BritishAvgeek Sounds are "very subjective" when the line of criticism is small and detailed, this is not the case, sounds are poor, simple and not at all like a GE90, more like a vaccum cleaner
@@BritishAvgeek When you meet Boris, any half-assed product becomes intolerable in a product so good in important areas such as textures and systems, but there is no immersion, it's like flying a plane without engines
Majority of people complianing about the sounds have never heard what its like in the cockpitt of a 777 in real life. The most we can comment on is the sounds from inside the cabin, which will vary depending on whether you are in front of the engines, over the wings, behind the wings or towards rear of the aircraft.
The engine sound from the cockpit it's not like the real one except engine start sequence
As much as I dislike days of showcases of a hyped plane like this… this really was the best and I got to see stuff I was curious about.

I honestly cannot wait to get this into my hangar, but the engine sounds when in the wingview sounds......off, particularly when the flaps are extended after start up. Never heard a 777-300ER during my 4-5 times on-board in that exact same spot sound anything like that. But I am sure over-time it'll improve.
wow this might be my finale thing to end my xplane-11 era. The only reason i still use xplane 11 is of the flight factor 777.
The FF777 has had very good reviews though I don't have xplane so have never tried it

That start piece was the drezwiecki design KPAE scenery with the Boeing factory

Do you know if the PMDG 777 is compatible with the honeycombs knobs? So you can control the heading, speed and altitude with them instead of the mouse?
I would guess so as the 737 works with it

there is a huge complain about sounds in PMDG forum. They know it. About the cabin it's more based on Air France I think
The sounds are really a dissapointement. Will hold off my purchase for now.

Will the plane release on market place on the release day or does it have a process to go through before being placed on the market place
Unlikely - it needs to be put onto the marketplace (which can take around one month, sometimes longer, sometimes quicker)... Tbh if you have PC you're much much much better off buying directly from PMDG. You'll get any updates immediately and will be able to access all the included liveries for free plus enjoy easy installation of all the freeware liveries that will follow
Is there a way to let the plane's airspeed to go beyond 340 knots while at cruising altitude? Like setting it on the autopilot control section in the middle some sort
That depends on your altitude and weight whether it'll allow you to fly at that speed. You can manually set a speed using the speed selector of course
We have a special time compression feature that is rather clever. London - New York in 2 hours is very possible.

Can I just ask which will the best version of the 777 from PMDG to get as I bought the 737 700 only to then regret it given how much more well support the 800 version turned out to be ( esp liveries) thx
This one is the best 777, the 777-300er. Surprisingly they started with the best one first. But yes this is the most flown one by big airlines.
This is the most sold version but it's something only you can decide for yourself - if you are a freighter pilot then you're better off waiting for the 777-200F

Excellent bird 🐦 all round....but the sound is not of a GE90. Flight Factor 777 have the Ge90 sound 💯 %. I sure hope this gets fixed b4 we run our credit card on 25th

Yeah - the -300ER is actually the biggest and in real life the most sold version of the aircraft too
I read that the standard MSFS weather radar was simulated. Does it really work? In these weather conditions, I would assume an indication on the ND.
The standard MSFS wx picks up rain not cloud from memory

sounds arent great..may have to add the TSS 777 sound pack to my 777
I think the engine sounds need to have a deeper bass sound and some how make the spool up deeper and more manly lol.
They had more bass on my speaker system at home - probably quite hard to get it right in a video but still, personally I thought it was quite juicy, similarly I appreciate others may think differently

No engine start? Just flap setting and the engines was on.
There's a time stamp specifically for engine start earlier in the PMDG livery - didn't want to show that twice as it would add another 5 minutes to the video

i’m australian, so most international destinations begin at about 8 hours and it only goes up from there. i cannot wait for the 777.
they have a time acceleration feature within the 777 so you can fly transatlantic for example, but in a fraction of the time if you wish

I’ve read about people complaining about the engine sounds. I’m no 777 pilot but I’ve been a passenger on them enough times onboard Emirates and the like and these sound just fine in my opinion!

Give it time, this is a pre-release after all, dont forget that. They might change it before it comes out or in an update.
Well, well, well... it's coming, laughing... eventually Asobo (FS2024) and all the basis equipment upgrades you'll need to run this simulator, the industry will outprice itself, like all the other hobbies, where equipment improved, and the quality equipment (i.e. pc processor -i9, memory -DDR5, monitors - high refresh rates with huge screens, LARGE CAPACITY SSD CARDS, metal yokes and metal rudder pedals - etc. etc. price increases) are out of reach for many hobbyist. SMH ...simple facts.

Not anything against PMDG, but I hate the cockpit colors on this aircraft. I realize its correct for the plane, but the brown is terrible

You actually get to like the brown. It’s cosy and warm unlike the ice cold Airbus interiors. Always thought it looked like a giant flying HP calculator.

Heh, trash sounds, filled with visual bugs, lacks efb funcionality, lacks system depth and the checklists are unrealistic, it was rushed there is no doubt. its insane how much Flight Factor has won the 777 war even though both haven't been released yet.
A lot of people, including real 777 pilots seem to like it and its not even out yet…
@@Londres104 yeah talk about Blackbox711 (real Boeing widebody captain), how was actually telling the truth about the PMDG and was debunking it and showing all of the things that were rushed and poor quality in his stream, its a youtuber that doesn't glaze like all of planes for views. And how would the 777 pilots that have only tried msfs and think its the best they can get have any input for a plane that hasn't even been released yet? 🤣Even how the trim is super screwed up, the GE90 roar isn't there, sounds are bad. Its amazing how people see right through this stuff and think its so amazing and that they need to get it. the 777 from PMDG for P3d was so much better.
it's simple for you then isn't it - don't buy it, stick with Xplane and the FF777
