You didn't have to die for us, yet you did anyway. His love has a depth that is immeasurable.

I sure wish we sang more 'simple' and 'simply beautiful' songs such as this in Church. I don't attend to be entertained by the top 40 in so-called christian music, I attend to be inspired and reminded of who He is. The key and the cadence of these old favorites make them easy for everyone to join in. Choral singing is all too rare today, besides; it's tough to compete against 3 or 4 electric guitars and a serious set of drums. Save that stuff for concert hall venues.

Listening to this song in 2023. I have been consistently listening to it and even singing it at home and church. Firmly trusting that Jesus is my tower, my anchor, my best friend and he will never forsake me. But now I am losing a best friend 😢 someone I trust so much, that used to pray for me and be with me when all is not good. I am losing him its so painful my heart is broken. But I remain with Jesus ❤

by the top 40 in so-called christian music, I attend to be inspired and reminded of who He is. The key and the cadence of these old favorites make them easy for everyone to join in. Choral singing is all too rare today, besides; it's tough to compete against 3 or 4 electric guitars and a serious set of drums. Save that stuff for concert hall venues.

+Daniel Mooney I recommend trying to find a more traditional church instead of a contemporary one like others have said and from your comment as well it is to easy to become distracted in contemporary churches by the music and the hype it is about numbers not about actually getting into God's word and hearing Biblical teachings both the good and bad Heaven and Hell teaching I've attended both types of churches and some do get more from a contemporary church but I truly enjoy the Traditional church I feel so much closer to Our Lord Jesus I myself am Lutheran Wisconsin Synod or WELS but denomination isn't to important provided Gods word is spoken truthfully and you come away from a service with a better understanding of Him and it is most important of all to read your Bible and study Gods word for yourself so you become closer to Him in your heart and can Recognize a False Preacher
