Academy for Women Weekly Wrap-up

🌟 Welcome to our weekly wrap-up at the Academy for Women! 🌟
🎓 Day 2: Professor Dr. Peterson gave an insightful talk on the ethics behind computer science, exploring power dynamics and algorithm biases in fields like college admissions.
🔬 Students then headed to the lab for group projects!
🏢 Day 3: Our students experienced the real-world tech scene with a field trip to Optiver, a tech-based trading firm in the Domain.
💧 Day 4: Creativity and fun took center stage with a water balloon drop challenge from the engineering building. Using cardboard, pipe cleaners, and chicken wire, our students built and dropped their designs!
💡 Day 5: Students showcased their skills with a light show board using C++ and practiced their presentations.
