Appreciate you highlighting some of the Oregon beauty and BBQ. Moved up here close to 20 years ago and miss my Memphis whole hog BBQ from my childhood so thanks for highlighting some cool spots I had no idea was around. Much love! 🤙🏽
Thrilled to see your video highlighting Grasslands come out on the heels of Daniel visiting them this past weekend. Great bunch of dudes cooking amazing food -- those pork belly burnt ends are a must-have every time I go, and Drew jokingly calls me their #1 fan of the jerk chicken links. I live outside Seattle and unfortunately don't get down there very often. Matt's has been a staple of the PDX craft BBQ scene for years as well, so I'm looking forward to next week's video too.
Great job, my wife and I are going to move to the beach in Oregon so this video was exceptional! I plan on spending the rest of my life building stuff, making BBQ and surfing!
That bird you saw could have been an eagle. It also could have been an osprey. On that drive to Hood River, my money is on the osprey. So cool that you guys came out the PNW and enjoyed Portland. It's always good to see your home town through a visitor's eyes.
Nice tour of the best parts of Oregon, guys! I grew up 35 minutes from Cannon Beach. Live in a suburb of Portland, now. Looks like you guys had a good time. Thanks for visiting. I'm sad I didn't know you were gonna be here.
Texas isn't known for it's oceans and I know you love seafood. I highly recommend planning your next trip to the pacific northwest in August or September when the salmon are running and the albacore tuna aren't far offshore.
Dang.......... Gooey Duck is a NW staple......... Glad to see a video in Portland that doesnt involve homeless people............ 😀 And yes the Oregon Coast is great and not very warm............
It was likely an eagle 13:37, there’s several mating pairs of eagles as you travel the west end of the gorge, starting with the first pair right near the Troutdale entrance to I84 and then as you get near rooster rock state park, a couple pairs at the Benson lake state park and Ainsworth state park and then several at the Bonneville dam. Also Hood River is almost always windy, because it’s in the gorge.
Hey, right in my backyard!! I'll be up at Hood River shortly, so I'll have to stop by Grasslands. Also surprised me how much bbq is in Portland, as the PNW isn't really known for bbq. Thanks for showing me all the hot spots right in my own backyard.
Regarding your hot sauce shelf. Can I recommend Pepper Plant’s California style hot sauce. It is absolutely the most perfect thing ever for eggs of any style. And it just goes with everything IMO. The Chunky Garlic is my favorite. Great vid👍👍
If you're looking for a good bold sipper check out Penelope specifically the Toasted. It's MGP juice at 100 proof. 74 Corn 21 Rye and 5 malt aged in two different barrels. I can get it for $60 in my area.
Ok, since you brought up Basil Hayden. I agree! However.. lol. I found a bottle of Basil Hayden, Toasted Barrel, and it is freaken fantastic! I would put ut at least As Good or even better than Elijah Craigs Toasted Barrel. Both are beautiful bourbons.
You guys need to come east and have Chesapeake Bay oysters. Totally recommend “Delaware Delicious” from Lewes Oyster House in Lewes, DE. Def make it a stop sometime!
Do a BBQ tour of New England next time your home. I have several I would like to see you showcase and see if your thoughts are similar to what I think about them
I'm surprised that you didn't find any smoked Salmon at any of these places. It's the one thing I really miss about living on the west coast. All the food looked fantastic though. Unique versions of some bbq standards, with a few more unusual items.
From what I’ve heard regular Basil Hayden is already a 9 year old bourbon so double the price for one extra year doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade. Love seeing what you’re sipping on though!
Yo Chud, you and Bones should do a collab with Jacob Knowles, the Lobster fisherman out of Maine with a youtube. Would be amazing. I could see it being your most viewed video!
Fabulosity. Does Bones ever have a bad day?, he's always smiling, and laughing!!
He poops so regularly even on vacation!
Next to Le pigeon is Canard. Same owner/shared kitchen less expensive. Just as good. Great family trip…thanks Brad.
Great to see Chuds team traveling and eating BBQ EVERYWHERE. Keep them coming.

Portland is a great place to live.
This could be a show for sure! I'd watch the two of you visit every city everywhere!

Dang, right in my back yard. Glad y’all went out to Grasslands.
8:07 COVID set so many hearts in motion!
Yes that's so right including my own.. 😊
It was nice meeting at GrassLands....looks like ya'll had a great trip in OR. Cheers Brad!
Grasslands looks incredible!!!❤❤❤
Great job, my wife and I are going to move to the beach in Oregon so this video was exceptional! I plan on spending the rest of my life building stuff, making BBQ and surfing!
The algae you speak with regards to oysters... red tide.
Grassland, Eagles and Wind! That is a successful Gorge trip 🥳🎉
Man I would love to see sliced portobello make it on some Texas BBQ menus!!
You should do a "BBQ Outside Of Texas" series, travelling the country trying different BBQ.
And also outside the US! I’d love to hear his thoughts on that
Awesome trip and delicious food!

Thank you for sharing.
Good call👍👊

Hey hey, you're in my neck of the woods. Nice! That strawberry salad? 100% Portland 😎
Really would love more bourbon content on the channel!! Loved the review of the Basil 10 year.
Bradley,
Fun video of the NW! Can you now do a video of boneless smoked chicken?
Keep up the great content!
Nice use of the Concierto de Aranjuez!
You're in my town! Right in my neighborhood. Matts and Grasslands are the best. Glad you got to check them out and appreciate the beauty of the gorge.
Whenever I smoke a tri tip, I do just like a brisket and it comes out amazing! 🤤😋
I grew up in South Texas. I’ve lived in the Portland metro for over a decade. I love Oregon. I’m never moving back home.
Oregon coast is so awesome 👌🏻
Texas isn't known for it's oceans and I know you love seafood. I highly recommend planning your next trip to the pacific northwest in August or September when the salmon are running and the albacore tuna aren't far offshore.
Next time you’re in NY Brad , let’s do a tri-state bbq crawl 🤙🏻
Botto’s BBQ in portland is the best BBQ joint around town.
No way you're in my city! Botto's BBQ is the best on the west coast.
I’ve missed these adventures with Bones 😂
3:40 I just can tell Bones is the big spoon .. 😇
Welcome to the PNW! Wish I knew you were here. Please come back soon. Trying to make it to your neck of the woods!
Nice to see you were in Portland always great food and @grasslandsbbq definitely a must visit when in town
Brooke looks lovely with the shorter hair.
Love Oregon especially the coast.

dangggggg I wish I would've known you were in town!
How these guys driving after plowing through those drinks hahahaha?

We have had different groups of friends in town over the past few weeks and I’ve had eem like 4 times and I am not mad 😂
Cannon beach rules. Glad you guys made it up to the PNW
Lived in Portland for 10 years. You're making me miss it! Thanks for the video Chud!
It's not the same anymore. The city is a shell of itself and many of the small businesses closed or moved out.
That was fun. Thanks for sharing 😊
Em ! Good smoked brisket Curry!
Regarding your hot sauce shelf. Can I recommend Pepper Plant’s California style hot sauce. It is absolutely the most perfect thing ever for eggs of any style. And it just goes with everything IMO. The Chunky Garlic is my favorite. Great vid👍👍
Grasslands is so dame good! Moved here from Tejas and sorry not sorry to say…zero regurts! Also, will definitely be trying the spots you mentioned.
We need a video deep diving into just sides
Great call on the EH Taylor. Very hard to find in southeast VA.
Except it's not very good. (My opinion, of course).
Shoutout to the CPAP machine! Got one myself. Gonna go out on a limb and say that was Bradley's. 😂

Almost picked up a bottle of it the other day. Next time I see it...
Next time you’re there you have to try Bottos BBQ!
While drinking the basil Hayden a cheeky bottle of EH Taylor is peaking out from the corner. THATS a good bottle
Quote of the Vlog @ 1:57
If you're still there, hit up Sip City or Westmoreland Liquor. Fantastic store picks.
Welcome to Portland
You guys should try Pine State Biscuits if you want a crazy breakfast! Several locations in Pdx
13:37 you 100% saw a Bald eagle because we don't have vultures in Oregon.
Can you please make a steak butter dipping video like cowboy butter compound butters and just some originals
Lol, didn't know you were friends with Alan from The Hangover... cool. "Hey, there's skittles in there!"
You guys where so close to world's best cheese and ice cream, Tillamook.
Highly interested in you doing several vids on tri-tip. So far I have had some successes, but it is always - in the end - just a roast beef.
Hey Brad! You the man!
Larceny is an awesome “spicy” bourbon. Not expensive, but awesome nonetheless. 👍🏻
Dammit! I was just at The Bullard this week! You should've called me and I would've bought you and Bones a drink! Come to Boise and let me know!

Can’t belive you were here and I didn’t know! Lol
WTF???? You were in PDX? Sure would have loved to at least wave hello to ya!
Do a BBQ tour of New England next time your home. I have several I would like to see you showcase and see if your thoughts are similar to what I think about them
Gonzo’s and Blue Oak if you make it out to New Orleans!
Brad! Make a recipe for Peri Peri chicken!!🔥🔥
tri tip is a very under rated cut of meat. One of my families favorites.
Hi Brad, I was wondering if you had any suggestions of BBQ restaurants in New England.
You guys should try Eggman ATX. It's in southish Austin, true bodega style breakfast sammies.
Cannon beach = Goonies filming locations. Always wanted to check that area out including Astoria north of that spot.
Linguica is my FAVORITE and you can't find it anywhere near Ft Riley, KS
Oregon!!
In my hometown and u didn't let me know... lol. I hope yall enjoyed yourself.
Awesome, I've got an HDM 250 (now called PRM)
Love the reviews!
im in vancouver wa and 84 is a beautiful drive
Try the Basil Haydens Dark Rye, really good.
Please do a video cooking that pork shank.
Kees Loaded Kitchen
Welcome
That's the Goonies rock island!!! Thar be a pirate ship under that thar yonder rock maties.
You guys could've just pitched a tent right downtown and fit right in! Sad, but true. Funny how I live here and long for Texas! Lol ironic
I regularly see bald eagles here in northern Arkansas and there’s a few bbq places. Not sure who has the best around here though
I'm surprised that you didn't find any smoked Salmon at any of these places. It's the one thing I really miss about living on the west coast.
All the food looked fantastic though. Unique versions of some bbq standards, with a few more unusual items.
Most of the BBQ places in the PNW are slackin on the salmon actually, which is a shame.
From what I’ve heard regular Basil Hayden is already a 9 year old bourbon so double the price for one extra year doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade. Love seeing what you’re sipping on though!
Bradly the timing of this Vid could be better, I'm heading to Portland on the 15th, can you list the places you stopped at? At least for the oysters!
Awesome
Excellent video as always, thanks Bradley!
Im sure its too late but you should head on down to Central Oregon...if you do hit me up!
Another suggestion, smoked hog head cheese
Isn't Matt's BBQ on N Mississippi one of the places that gets national press, especially lately? I was expecting them to be in this vid somewhere.
Yo Chud, you and Bones should do a collab with Jacob Knowles, the Lobster fisherman out of Maine with a youtube. Would be amazing. I could see it being your most viewed video!
