Slaughter's gimmick was that he was a Marine. The Marines don't wear red uniforms, the dress uniform for Mounties is red.

Looked like he had a mustache to me, I immediately said Slaughter and didn't think twice.

The only one I got wrong was Roddy Piper, because I legit thought it was Texas Tornado going by the hair. 😂 I didn't see Roddy at all, but it makes sense that it was him. This was a fun quiz, would love to see another one of these.
Got the Mountie. I thought Sarge too, but there was nothing resembling a mustache, and the face was more slender. Top part of the shirt looked more like Mountie too. I remember the NES theme songs from some of these too, so I have that advantage.

Just so you guys know, Yokozuna is a rank in sumo wrestling, the highest in fact. Yoko's entire gimmick was that of a sumo wrestler, hence why he was billed from Japan, despite being Samoan.
And he was part of the Sumo match they had. It was him against John Tenta.

I'm glad they got most of these, a lot of these wrestlers were a bit before their time but immediately recognizing Bam Bam (granted, that's his most iconic pose but still) makes me very happy. Keep it up guys, your videos are getting better and better
Man, I remember waiting forever for the Legends DLC for Super Wrestlemania. Not to mention the Raven, Pillman, and Jake Roberts with his iconic sunglasses.
I don't know if this was mentioned, but the four games that was in the videos are actually WWF Wrestlemania, WWF Wrestlemania Challenge, WWF Steel Cage Challenge, and WWF King of the Ring. I remember playing 3 of the 4 games as a kid.
It’s crazy that I remember selecting these characters in the 1989 game. You had to collect symbols for the wrestler that bounced across the ring to gain energy if I remember right.
I remember renting some of these from Blockbuster back in the day, even though I hadn't started watching wrestling yet.
The collar on The Mountie is what gave it away 🤣

The sumo wrestler thing was Yoko's whole gimmick. Yokozuna ("grand champion") is the highest rank in sumo wrestling. He was not an actual sumo wrestler though he did have a sumo match on Raw once with Earthquake who did compete as a sumo (where he was undefeated).
don’t know if they’ll still do this but i remember last year on the podcast they said that for money in the bank predictions they would put a briefcase on the line. if they do that’ll be sick but i don’t know how they would go about it 😭
The math to use when trailing Dante by 3 or more going into the final round
we will use this "score" as an example, 16-13
Dante always bets 1 more than John max possible score making John's bet meaningless
so John can only win if he gets it right and Dante gets it wrong, any other outcomes Dante wins
What john needs to do is not bet all, he can't win even if he gets it right,
in 16-13, John's max score would be is 26, so Dante bets 11 points to get 27 points, in this case John can only win if he gets it right and Dante gets it wrong
If John bets assuming Dante will get it wrong and end up with 5 (16-11), John needs to bet ending with at worst 6, so john should bet 7 (13-7=6)
in this scenario John can win If he gets it right dante gets it wrong AND if the both get it wrong. Increasing his odds to win.

As a Canadian, there was no question that was the Mountie. The Red Serge is a dead giveaway.

I get that it’s a common thing now, but I grew up on these games and adding in “classic” or “legends” characters was not even a thought yet. We were lucky to get 7 or 8 current superstars, and they didn’t have the memory space for extra characters.
I legit knew that was the Mountie. The red collar was the giveaway as Mountie uniforms were red back then if they aren't still, also Slaughter wore green. I got all of them except Piper because that picture was cursed.
The Mountie was from WWF Steel Cage Challenge...my favorite wrestling game on the NES when I was growing up.
