Wolcen is the same game since some weeks after the launch. There is no meta shift worthwhile enough to stroll away from builds that work best. That already kills the game for me.

People are constantly complaining about "always online". Here's a game which works great offline, but has issues online, and people are complaining why it isn't working online.
Yes but it's still an issue because being able to spot at a glance what type of node something is preferred than only having a search bar. It's why PoE utilizes both.
06:21 The way to share your skill tree to other players is to actually do a search first. I for example am doing a Rage-base build and if I search the word "rage", every skill containing that word will be highlighted so it's easier for me to pick them. I feel like this is a mechanic every RPG game should have
Yeah the game has so much potential but the dev team misses a lot of opportunities. Especially in explaining stuff. The skill, weapon and class system is pretty unique compared to most other games but need a lot of time to get into it because abilities can change so much and items can allow you to use cerrtain skills etc. There is a theorycrafter "heisenberg" on youtube that shows a lot of different builds. But all of these are only accessable if you spend hundreds of hours and trying out different things cost hundreds of additional hours. Also a lot of stuff is explained badly. e.g. the melee hammer multiplies damage like crazy when you take the charge passive and multiply it with full weapon damage %. Even on level 60 you suddently hit for half a million instead of 5k and you have no idea why.
its too late for them. honestly only reason they can continue is because they put too much time into it and dont have a better idea. but they'll never get a proper playerbase again because theres never gonna be any news around it bringing people back
Love the look of this game, and the setting. Seems kinda Warhammer-ish. Make sure you let us know when the game gets into a more stable place so I can pick it up!
I have beaten the game and have played since Early Access (haven't played for a while though) and I experienced very few bugs. I definitely have not experienced the things Ziz is explaining here. I actually LOVE the skill tree, and I feel the campaign was really fun. I come from D2 and POE. I say if you don't mind parting with 10-15 bucks and it goes on sale, why not? It's always fun to try something new!
If you're interested in a Warhammer arpg check out Inquisitor:Martyr. Very fun game, has seasons, and lots of endgame stuff to do. I personally like the graphics on the game as well.
@@knightofvirtue613I’ve recently acquired both but have time allready divided up between too many games. Which do you think is better Wolcen or Warhammer Inquisitor ?
if you want to get into it, play an offline character, most of the people who experience bugs are playing online characters, also if yo encounter any progress or reset issues, you can modify your offline savefile to at least place yourself back where you were before the issue, definitely worth it on sale just to play the story and try out different abilities
Same, barely ever had issues with my offline characters. That said, developers shot themselves in the foot by making emphasis on online play, but at least it's not mandatory unlike certain games.
@@Psycorde one reason i'll never regret buying the game is purely bc it has a proper offline mode, I will always be able to play the game and enjoy the story and its contents even when they are done with the game and multiplayer servers are turned off.
Is it possible to atleast give my offline character some progression from the online one? I think I screw myself by choosing online the bugs is soooo bad
"play an offline character, most of the people who experience bugs are playing online characters" Are you for real? Back when the game officially released this was also going on.. so it seems like nothing has changed
My main issue is that combat feels floaty or unresponsive. It didn't feel like I was attacking a monster. More like I was attacking the ground and hoping a monster was in its area.
Yeah same, Hard to describe it better but I felt the same floating and also it was horrible to be unable to move cos boss has so big hit box that basicly there's no way to click. Never had this feeling of losing control in PoE for example
I bought it long time ago and had pretty good time while doing campaign and it was really well done one. I really liked the story. Also I encountered some bugs but nothing gamebreaking and was able to finish campaign. I think if they would give this game more time before release and actually finish it they would be in a way better place. Right now even if they will fix everything not alot of people gonna go back to play it even if its decent.
It's great to see so many arpgs which CAN be good tho. I will play PoE and Last Epoch for sure, Wolcen I tried but didn't finish it and still trying to gather willpower to try it again. I hope there will be more devs to work on it in the future.
I played Wolcen a long while ago. Before it had its huge spike actually I think. I generally agree but cannot really say since I played so early the last ring of the passive tree was not even available. I agree that the campaign and story is really good and it seems to have some good bones to it. I am glad to see the devs are sticking with it and updating it. Ever since no man's sky had one of the worst launches ever and flat out lied about features but is now an amazing game. I have some faith in any game where the developers are willing to stick with it.
Unfortunately, I get an error "DXGI_Error_Device_Hung" and then the game crashes. I have no problems with any other titles. It's a pity, the game looks great, but within 40 minutes I started from the beginning 7 times ... Anyone had such a problem, knows how to deal with it?
Thanks for the reminder! I have played this on release but was done with it being so iffy. Had completely forgotten about it and gonna see how it is now.
Bro you literally said the game is enjoyable like a thousand times but yet you don't recommend at this point I really feel like Diablo for is a knock off from this game Diablo 4 is complete s*** compared to this game
I have played my (offline) character to lev. 40'ish and have enjoyed it very much. The bug I have suffered are the one Ziz mention, skill invisible. I have just started chapter 4, and it feels much harder than where I ended chapter 3? I wasn't enjoying that feeling, being weak again :) But I think it's worth my money for this, specially now on sale. It's something to do until PoE Crucible :)
It's crazy how polarizing this game is. I played it since launch (offline) and have never ran into any bugs. Such a weird game. I really like it. Much more so than D3, PoE, etc.
I am in love with this game for sure there are a lot of bugs and I was having a problem with online so switched to offline but still fun to play also they release an update today and I test out the online and was fixed for me no lag and I think gonna level up again in the online to do some trade and to play with other players this game community seems very friendly and they looking to help you and play with you i hope they add more endgame bosses
@@Scroapy You haven't even seen what the paragon board currently looks like to even remotely make that type of judgement call yet. We've only seen old iterations of it from like 2018-2019 so far.
I tried endgame a week or 2 ago, can't say no to a free update. I enjoyed the little bit I played, I also had no bugs. It seemed they improved things a bit... I was actually having fun putting my build together, however finding gear kind of sucks... especially since I've been playing last epoch the past week, so much better of a crafting/looting system
@Joseph Ward last epoch isn't even big, how is it over rated? I think you just mean you don't like it. And yeah I hate to break it to you but you're probably playing Chinese games. But you're free to limit yourself to whatever you want
Yea, i had level 70 that i leveled prior the the "Endgame". After the update i couldnt play unless i finish the new story, so i started it and it deleveled my char to 40 unequiped my gear and reset my skill tree. The worst thing is i was playing summoner and you need skill copies, because of the delevel i had 2 skills instead of 6
After your 1st character you can skip campaign. I have only 243 hours in this game since very early days. It always lacked reason to its end game, just like Diablo 3. Now there is 1, but still feels kind of same activities. For short term game - it is pretty fun, but not yet for a long term game.
Wolcen is a phenomenal good game, its up there for me together with W40K Inquisitor Martyr, cannot recommend it enough for rpg lovers like me. Its sad that is so hard to find good rpg games nowdays but those two give me hope for the future of the genre. The game has been rock solid for me on offline mode and I am also playing on Linux via Steam Proton. Not even a single crash. Martyr is the same story on Linux as well. New World on the other hand has been dogshit with crash , after crash , after crash....
I really don't remember all that many bugs, but I absolutely loved the story/campaign. Now that I'm waiting for next PoE league and D4, I might log into Wolcen and do the 4th act. Great story, but yeah the end game was garbage. I forget when exactly I bought it, either on kickstarter or pre-order, enjoyed the beta too.
personally i didn't experience any real game breaking bugs whether it was on launch or during the first expansion blood trail so i have pretty good memory of the game but after that i kinda forgot it existed but if i was forced to play either d4 or wolcen i would def pick wolcen which i guess is a good point for wolcen idk

First time I see a streamer of high repute not recommending a game based on "hearing" of others experiencing gamebreaking bugs, even though his gameplay had no such things, MORE than that he actually enjoyed it. I agree with the rest of the points. Can't wait to see a D4 review based on other people complains :) ... could be a long one I restarted from scratch in online mode and had just the invisible spell effects bug (which seems to be patched by now but it was fucking annoying) and one or two disconnects for the whole campaign.
I’ve been playing the game. Just got to chapter 3 of the campaign. And I’ve loved every second of it. It’s given me a lot of hours of great gameplay. And a fairly engaging story.
worth noting the game just received a 1.5gig patch that fixed most of the aforementioned problems (at least for me, most of the bugs I experienced were resolved). Still, not 100% as I'm still trying to get the end boss down before I can unlock that champions mode, but for now, I have no issues since this morning in CH4.
Played over 50 hours since the last patch and had lots of fun. Pretty much no bugs for me, just couple of disconnects. Game has way worse reputation than it deserves.
See... WAY back in Alpha, Wolcen was an OPEN WORLD aRPG with a very different Weapons System. Game was a heading in some great directions, with some amazing ideas. Then SOMETHING happened. Something bad.
The "umm i don't think we can pull this off guys" happened, and they went for a very streamlined, simplified, typical corridor ARPG and worked really hard on polishing that turd and making great trailers for it so people will catch the bait. And they did. Those guys are literally geniuses, they've remade the game into something that didn't remind the original idea and sold that idea as some unknown studio. They've managed to make millions with a few trailers of an alpha game and investing in marketing, the game was in an absolutely terrible state, i'd say one of the worst launches i've ever seen in my entire life. Financially, it was the best idea they could come up with. I remember being hyped up for Umbra too but let's be real, who thought some random studio could pull off such an ambitious project ?
Played recently and had a lot of fun. This game has amazing combat, it's such a shame that the game has damn near died due to the launch and slow fixes.
I have been playing it the past week chapter 2 at the moment....I really enjoyed it really like the skills and performance is a lot better then early access, not had any major bugs yet touch word. The combat feels good with the skills
I tried wolcen when it launched and... Just so sad. The game felt like it had potential and I enjoyed the skill tree being so customizable without feeling overwhelming.
infinite blades = protoss or templar assassin from dota. Need a skill like that in POE. Hope this game fixes it bugs, definitely want to try it out now.
Recently, I cant select server due to some bug, server suggestion is somewhat random, I live in Thailand, I try to select Singapore but somehow I got EU or US server instead and latency is too bad to be playable.
i really liked the world and style of the game and some of the mechanics like the city progression BUT sadly all your points are valid. i really hope they can manage to have a comebackstory although i doubt it
i tried to play wolcen recently I went to sydney server and my god it only puts me on singapore and some random european server i was thinking of playing it with a friend but not worth it for me, it's a pity because i played in the beginning and i really enjoyed it never had issues of losing character prog or related stuff like that, and really enjoyed my dot build
8:55 Honestly, this is good to hear. Sometimes between PoE leagues and when there's nothing new in LE to play, I do wish there was something I could run through leisurely until the next league comes along. I love GD but it's stale to me after 500+ hours. Might pick this up when it's $5-10 now.
On ps5 the ui is abysmal, I've tried every button combo to try to dye armour, use pet's,it's as though the features aren't there, also can't start chapter 4 either.
Played it last week, and was able to play a build that didn't work previously due to certain GoF skills originally not working as worded (as in the skill didn't work at all, but got fixed [eg Archion's Teachings didn't work with staff projectiles but now it does]). Played SSF from level 1 (staff basic attack focus [2-3 projectiles, 4 bounces, critical hit/damage/attack speed], Consuming Embers [willpower spender] and some minions tuned to projectile damage [cos they unexpectedly benefit from the additional projectiles]). I ended up basically deleting everything without ever replaying an area/farming/crafting [first death at Ashava due to hubris], even though some promising GoF nodes still don't work as worded and had to get cut. Got bored around level 60 (most gear still just random rares with 1-2 synergistic stats [end game gear should have all 4 synergistic]). The endgame is almost exactly the same as before outside the interface. Seriously, the act bosses are the only interesting thing once you've hit 60 the first time, but you've already done them and won't face them again (except Ahriman who you face 3 times in total, I believe). Still way too much focus on the irrelevant stuff (cinematics, overall graphics look and feel) without anywhere near enough attention on the things that matter (skills working [and working as advertised!], non-janky mechanics, some actual additional content [1 boss fight and some more enemies is *not* "more content"]). It's a decent game and is better now, but in my opinion the game is held back by how development is managed rather than what the developers are able to deliver.
Bad launches aren't just about predicting player numbers, they are also about bugs that simply don't show up with a much smaller amount of test computers which are all a unique combination of installed hardware and software.
I actually played it 32 hours at launch and didn't really have any bugs. I think I was playing offline, though. I really enjoyed it and can't honestly remember why I quit. I think it's just because there was nothing to do after the campaign.
I just brought the game yesterday on ps5 and me and my friend are loving it the bugs really dosnt bother us bc of how much fun the combat is I probably should have waited on sale but run out of stuff to play and wanted something different to play with my friends just as long it don’t delete my person I’ll be fun
Im not hardcore h'n's player, I play campaign once or twice to level up character, but I dont care about endgame or endless farming. For me this game was awesome. Not as unfriendly and convoluted as PoE, but not as casual and basic as latest Diablo 3/4.
I played wolcen at launch and even though alot of people had problems, I actually didn't have that many problems besides having disconnects from time to time. I also remember a boss having a high chance of getting an immortal bug when switching to the second phase (I think I had to fight him over 10 times). Besides that the game was working pretty good and I had alot of fun playing it, sadly on one day they decided to nerf my build so much, that I neither did any dmg anymore and I also wasn't able to tank anything. I think after that patch more than 10k people including me stopped playing that game.
I kickstarted the game, played through what there was of the campaign at launch and then never went back. Might do another playthrough just to see what the later acts have to offer in terms of story.
Did my own playthrough with the new patch and mine was a bug free experience as well so it was generally nice. Your thoughts on the tree and stats hit pretty close to home for me. I assumed that red was the more melee/material focus, green was dex/speed/ranged, purple was magic/occult and at a glance that might seem accurate but that goes off the rails real fast. Very much has a PoE feel of you kinda need to do your research because things aren't as simple as they seem.
Thanks for the review. Im going to redownload this again, since I deleted it when I bought it at launch... and it was broken. I thought the game looked amazing, but it just never was finished.
I bought the game 5 days ago ps4 version playing on my ps5, i am getting frequent game crashes and freezing, hope they fix it since its very annoying that anytime it will crash on you specialy if your doing endgame. 😮💨
I remember when I played it close to release I had a summoner build and soon found out I could raise big enemies to be my minions. But since they had unproportional HP and DMG, optimized for the player and not the other enemies. It basically made me immortal and this minion would kill bosses for me in a few hits. Then I got to a boss which forced my minion to disappear and there were no other mobs to possess making the boss fight very tough for me and I quit eventually.
Conceptually and visually this game is amazing, I wish the execution (and, well, the initial experience on release) were better. Can't wait till they fix all the stuff that needs fixing to give it another go.
Great breakdown and retrospective: I agree with this game being a weird experience. I was one of those players that played on launch, and I still have positive memories of it. It is very, very flawed - for all the reasons mentioned esp. busted skills and weird rollbacks. But it really was fun as well. At the end, it wasn't a good game...but there are still lessons from the failure, good stuff to appreciate and hope other games implement or get inspiration from.
I have never finished the Heimlock fight. Always bugged and softlocked. Other than not being able to progress, the skills and the "ultimate" is really cool and I loved it up until the game wouldn't let me.
one of my biggest gripes with the game is how the potion makes your hp bar go back and forth as if lagging and taking damage. The hp bar outline/border does this stupid thing where it expands out off the ui. Very distracting and makes me feel like im lagging. Very limited tile sets. The passive tree is boring af. Cry engine was the wrong choice. Wish they had just stuck to their original open world vision instead of swapping to this mess.
I played a 100 hours at launch and had a fair bit of fun. The point was to find creative ways to break the game even further and i like doing that for some time then moved on
I like breaking games IF the way I am breaking it is within the confines of the game rules. If the game has stated interactions that I can put together that the devs didn't forsee, I am all about it. If breaking the game just means using skills that are buggy and finding glitches, I dont care. Breaking a broken game is just boring
Wolcen was great. I found it after all the launch problems and just loved it. The tree is much easier than POE, I cant imagine how you had problems with it
I was trying to play the game since the 4 act update. Thing is, after trying like 4 times, the game refuses to save my progress... Ended up uninstalling the game and installing Last Epoch instead.
When I played I had the issue back in time that my character was not saved locally because my windows username contained a special character (ö) ... I played like 4h and my character was gone xD
i played wolcen on launch (worked out pretty well for me actually) and i thought the whole citybuilding aspect to its endgame was great. Like even when i was bored out of the game already i thought: "Man. I still wanna finish the city though." - but thats maybe flavour (it should be pointed out that building up the buildings in the city unlocks services for you; like crafting higher quality gear, rerolling gear etc. so its not just an asthetic thing. Its a different way of unlocking these. Like in many games its just a matter of level of your character or storyprogress or somesuch in Wolcen you could pick and choose where to spend your money. Which also meant you could choose what to unlock first and what to unlock later on. Still think its, in general a great idea) The real thing with wolcen was the skilltree though that was not static and i said to everybody who cared to listen back in the day that dynamic stkilltrees are going to be genre-standard. Its a genius idea and adds easy to understand complexity and variety. Just too great an idea to not copy it. Now we are seing it with paragonboards in D4. Its the future, as i predicted. ;-) The reason i stopped playing Wolcen was because the maths was off. Back at release there where like 4 skills that where their own multiplier (while every other skill went into one multiplier same as the main-attribute which made these skills completely insignificant), hence they where WAYYYYY stronger than every other skill on the tree so the challenge of buildcrafting was simply how to reach all these nodes as fast as possible and what to play to be able to utilize them all. not to mention the scaling of attributes that made you deal more damage when you only stacked all attribute points in one stat even if it was defense etc. And that was the point i quit and said: "Ok. Fix this and i will return." because it was really the only problem i had with Wolcen but it was severe, to say the least. In fact i kept it installed for many months after its release and kept reading patchnotes looking for the "calculations of things changed" entries that would have made me return but never saw them. All in all a real shame. Game completely fucked up cause they couldnt do proper maths. Remember Wolcen, kids. Maths is important!
1 i stop playing after i was grinding enjoying the game . when they did the reroll . i lost everything i grind for . all the gold all the mats . due to people doing a dope bs . some instead of the one that did it they just whipe everyone . this just happens once they did it a few times . all the skills i had unlocked gone . it was nutty
On sale on steam right now for $9, i'm cool with 10-20 hours for that and if I like it, or (unlikely) they continue to improve it might be a really good game in THE FUTURE!!
over 2-3 weeks I tried the game when it came out. bugged skills, crashes, items vanished at random, character was deleted after crash, but the nail in the coffin was I never got past act1, because campaign was bugged and no matter what I did, how many times I restarted or how many characters I tried, it never progressed. Even if it was free, I wouldn't recommend downloading it.
Despite enjoying Wolcen a lot, the on-going issues and gamebreaking bugs prevent Ziz from recommending it.

Is it possible to atleast give my offline character some progression from the online one? I think I screw myself by choosing online the bugs is soooo bad
Fuck no 😂 how is that worth it
"play an offline character, most of the people who experience bugs are playing online characters"
Are you for real? Back when the game officially released this was also going on.. so it seems like nothing has changed
My main issue is that combat feels floaty or unresponsive. It didn't feel like I was attacking a monster. More like I was attacking the ground and hoping a monster was in its area.
Yeah same, Hard to describe it better but I felt the same floating and also it was horrible to be unable to move cos boss has so big hit box that basicly there's no way to click. Never had this feeling of losing control in PoE for example
True, combat has bad feeling to it.
But a lot of the skills do feel visually pleasing IMO so that's the trade-off.
I had that too but it was due to online lag. I flipped to offline and started a new character, and it feels much snappier now.
@@solfernus1337 I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for mentioning it.
The problem is, they've been kept remaking the game since the patreon like 5-6 years before the lauch, so seem they can't delay anymore
I am in love with this game for sure there are a lot of bugs and I was having a problem with online so switched to offline but still fun to play also they release an update today and I test out the online and was fixed for me no lag and I think gonna level up again in the online to do some trade and to play with other players this game community seems very friendly and they looking to help you and play with you i hope they add more endgame bosses
the rotating skill tree is kind of cool I think
exactly the skilltree is far superior to whatever D4 is trying to achieve
@@Scroapy You haven't even seen what the paragon board currently looks like to even remotely make that type of judgement call yet. We've only seen old iterations of it from like 2018-2019 so far.
I tried endgame a week or 2 ago, can't say no to a free update. I enjoyed the little bit I played, I also had no bugs. It seemed they improved things a bit... I was actually having fun putting my build together, however finding gear kind of sucks... especially since I've been playing last epoch the past week, so much better of a crafting/looting system
Last Epoch is over rated, not to mention Tencent partially owns EHG, I prefer not to support a Chinese game.
@@thomasward00 So you don't support Path of Exile then too? :D
@@Aphex93 Not at all, no Chinese games for me.
Tell me a game you play that doesn’t have Tencent’s (or a similar company’s) hands in it.
Oh yeah.. totally forgot this game was a thing :P
D4 was so disappointing for me that i got wolcen and im playing through it for the first time :)
Definitely should try last epoch
The best feature was that uniques could be upgraded to rares but keep their ability. Except it was a bug and despite what they said it never came back
Wolcen is a phenomenal good game, its up there for me together with W40K Inquisitor Martyr, cannot recommend it enough for rpg lovers like me.
@7:45 - I loved the reference you made and your comment.
personally i didn't experience any real game breaking bugs whether it was on launch or during the first expansion blood trail so i have pretty good memory of the game but after that i kinda forgot it existed
but if i was forced to play either d4 or wolcen i would def pick wolcen which i guess is a good point for wolcen idk
my guy compares a beta with a game thats out for years^^
@@PsYcO9iKiLl9YaH welp i was bored as fuck playing d4 beta the d4 endgame is looking like shit .i didn't get bored during wolcen campaign nor during the end game also isn't blizzard a AAA company yet they still manage to make d4 the way it is lol

First time I see a streamer of high repute not recommending a game based on "hearing" of others experiencing gamebreaking bugs, even though his gameplay had no such things, MORE than that he actually enjoyed it. I agree with the rest of the points. Can't wait to see a D4 review based on other people complains :) ... could be a long one
I restarted from scratch in online mode and had just the invisible spell effects bug (which seems to be patched by now but it was fucking annoying) and one or two disconnects for the whole campaign.
Still, not 100% as I'm still trying to get the end boss down before I can unlock that champions mode, but for now, I have no issues since this morning in CH4.
this is what would happen if D3 didn't have DIABLO in the name.
This game can bind force move and attack to different keys, unlike D4.
6-7/10 wow that's higher than what kripp gave to Diablo 4 beta 😮
Thank you for the honest review Ziz 😊
12:36 this boss will always be known as empire of japan now
Played recently and had a lot of fun. This game has amazing combat, it's such a shame that the game has damn near died due to the launch and slow fixes.
This video actually made me more interested to play the game lol
I'm about to get it myself on ps5 lol
I have a bug I can't see loot on the ground
I have been playing it the past week chapter 2 at the moment....I really enjoyed it really like the skills and performance is a lot better then early access, not had any major bugs yet touch word. The combat feels good with the skills
I tried wolcen when it launched and... Just so sad. The game felt like it had potential and I enjoyed the skill tree being so customizable without feeling overwhelming.
infinite blades = protoss or templar assassin from dota. Need a skill like that in POE. Hope this game fixes it bugs, definitely want to try it out now.
Bought it for 8€ on sale and I can recommend the game, if you are fine playing offline. Can manually make save files.
Recently, I cant select server due to some bug, server suggestion is somewhat random, I live in Thailand, I try to select Singapore but somehow I got EU or US server instead and latency is too bad to be playable.
i really liked the world and style of the game and some of the mechanics like the city progression BUT sadly all your points are valid.
i really hope they can manage to have a comebackstory although i doubt it
30 hrs campaign, guess i'd buy it if it's on sale.
i tried to play wolcen recently I went to sydney server and my god it only puts me on singapore and some random european server i was thinking of playing it with a friend but not worth it for me, it's a pity because i played in the beginning and i really enjoyed it never had issues of losing character prog or related stuff like that, and really enjoyed my dot build
I had so many issues with mouse, it was so unpleasant and I had a lot of freezes
The purple blade attack was my fav skill in this game
Love the Wolsen video with Path of Exile as the backing music! 🤣
i wish path of exiles damage type conversion would change the visual of the skill
8:55 Honestly, this is good to hear. Sometimes between PoE leagues and when there's nothing new in LE to play, I do wish there was something I could run through leisurely until the next league comes along. I love GD but it's stale to me after 500+ hours. Might pick this up when it's $5-10 now.
its on sale right now, for 10 euro and 11 cents , is it worth it ?
You playing Grim Dawn music in the background?
Bad launches aren't just about predicting player numbers, they are also about bugs that simply don't show up with a much smaller amount of test computers which are all a unique combination of installed hardware and software.
I actually played it 32 hours at launch and didn't really have any bugs. I think I was playing offline, though. I really enjoyed it and can't honestly remember why I quit. I think it's just because there was nothing to do after the campaign.
Thanks for going back to check on it...
10/10 for the Protoss reference lol
Why are you playing path of exile music in the background? :P
I absolutely love wolcen I understand it has a lot of bugs but it still so fun to play for me
For real, combat just feels so good, as at least with the mage
I play this game at launch now I want to try it again
Wolcem was that one game that put graphics first and that basically killed the game.
I couldn't play it keeps crashing 15 mins in
I remember when I played it close to release I had a summoner build and soon found out I could raise big enemies to be my minions. But since they had unproportional HP and DMG, optimized for the player and not the other enemies. It basically made me immortal and this minion would kill bosses for me in a few hits. Then I got to a boss which forced my minion to disappear and there were no other mobs to possess making the boss fight very tough for me and I quit eventually.
thats not a wolcen only problem. a ton of games do that
@@PsYcO9iKiLl9YaH oh, I didn't know. Only happened to me in Wolcen
Got it on recent sale for 10$ and got 60hrs out of it sadly 2 poor to get last epoch
Is last epoch a better choice over this? I’m torn
It’s worth $10 dollars. The sale was good
Enough folks must be playing and more to the point buying or bought it to keep it afloat all this time.
I have never finished the Heimlock fight. Always bugged and softlocked.
Other than not being able to progress, the skills and the "ultimate" is really cool and I loved it up until the game wouldn't let me.
New update today with fixes and also said they will do weekly fixes now going forward.
one of my biggest gripes with the game is how the potion makes your hp bar go back and forth as if lagging and taking damage.
@@JohnSmith-uy1tl It wasn't for a 100h, finding glitchs is fun but doesn't last. Wolcen had a small dev team, it's okay.
Wolcen was great. I found it after all the launch problems and just loved it. The tree is much easier than POE, I cant imagine how you had problems with it
Yeah i had no problem with it either, anyone with half a brain could work it out.
I was trying to play the game since the 4 act update. Thing is, after trying like 4 times, the game refuses to save my progress... Ended up uninstalling the game and installing Last Epoch instead.
funny cuz last epoch was just having rollback issues
When I played I had the issue back in time that my character was not saved locally because my windows username contained a special character (ö) ... I played like 4h and my character was gone xD
when i saw the skill tree it gave me ptsd
At first sight, looks much better than last epoch
game is 3$ currently in my region, should I buy?
The gameplay, the graphic, the story, the skills are awesome. But sadly, full of bugs, no endgame.
This game had so MUCH potential, what a waste.
Have* so much potential no? Since they're still working on it?
i played wolcen on launch (worked out pretty well for me actually) and i thought the whole citybuilding aspect to its endgame was great. Still think its, in general a great idea)
The real thing with wolcen was the skilltree though that was not static and i said to everybody who cared to listen back in the day that dynamic stkilltrees are going to be genre-standard. Its a genius idea and adds easy to understand complexity and variety. Just too great an idea to not copy it. Now we are seing it with paragonboards in D4. Its the future, as i predicted. ;-)
The reason i stopped playing Wolcen was because the maths was off.
The de-levelling wasn’t a big it was because of a patch and everyone got docked if they were 40 and above back to 40
On sale on steam right now for $9, i'm cool with 10-20 hours for that and if I like it, or (unlikely) they continue to improve it might be a really good game in THE FUTURE!!
thanks for the video mate, I got it on sale as well and had a lot of fun cheers
over 2-3 weeks I tried the game when it came out. bugged skills, crashes, items vanished at random, character was deleted after crash, but the nail in the coffin was I never got past act1, because campaign was bugged and no matter what I did, how many times I restarted or how many characters I tried, it never progressed. Even if it was free, I wouldn't recommend downloading it.
