It's really refreshing to see people being able to laugh at risky jokes like these. Family guy is amazing at making fun of everyone lol.
Just for a bit of context, when Peter went to the Million Man March and started shouting at the black men, he had just come back from a womans retreat and had turned into a feminist, so he was directing his comments to men in general, not black men, which is the joke.

That's kind of a good point. It's trying to solicit a cringe through people subconsciously mirroring the reactions of characters in the episode/people around them. It's actually a smart way to go about it.

That's the intent of comedy as a genre... Anybody who gets offended by a joke needs to re-examine who the joke is literally directed at.... Its nearly always without fail not at the person or issue joked about... Otherwise its attempting to increase public interest and action toward less cared for issues...

That was actually the joke. It is even more shocking to him that a black person knows math, than it is that a yellow person can drive. Most people are familiar with the "Asians can't drive" stereotype, so it's the perfect setup for the joke.

I love how both these guys are trying so hard not to laugh the entire time, even at the stuff that was a bit over the top.
