Daniel Cabral Hey! We had a gap at first, then we realized our mistake. If you follow the video and instructions exactly it should work out. Give us a call and ask for Landon and he can walk you through it 910-769-6900
I got the doors and when i put them on the hinge pins don’t seem to drop the whole way in and they are VERY hard to close. Can only close them from the outside if I slam them really hard.
I have a 4 door but wanna add to all doors not just driver and passenger is there a four door package or will I have to buy the front two and back two separately?
Thanks for this video. How much would you say the upper and lower weigh each? I need something that I can put on if I get caught in the rain & I’m not with hubby! The stock doors are waaaay too heavy for me!
They are suprisingly sturdy and very light. I'd say less than 15 pounds each. You'll love them! Give us a call if you need any help ordering. 910-769-6900
im pretty much in the same boat in quebec , want to have no doors all summer but the rain and parking outside at nights with animals is the reason im looking at these. did u end up going with em? does the job well ?
Consider yourself lucky. These are hit and miss when it comes to fitting. The radius of my front, lower door corners didn’t match the vehicle’s radius. I could put 3 fingers in gap, regardless of adjustment. Bestop CS was friendly, but failed to call back every time they said they would. Unfortunately, I had to send them back. In the end, they failed to return my call one too many times and I only have so many hours in the day. All that said, if they fit like yours, I’d have kept them.
Ray F We ran into a slight issue with the fitting as well. We initially follow the directions but misinterpreted them and had the same 2-3 inch gap. Give us a call and ask for Landon if you have questions about how to get them to fit if you decide to make the purchase again!
Thanks, guys. I appreciate you making the time to talk to me. Landon helped me verify that we had gaps in different locations. Mine was on the lowers, at the bottom front corner. The vendor that sold me the doors is a good outfit, but I will definitely give Cape Fear a look for future purchases.
it took a little bit of working with the doors to get them to fit but the real problem is they pull away from the roof at the top of the doors at about 30 MPH, tried bending them inward like tech support said but it didnt fix the problem, no way I could drive this in the rain
Lovely box you have there that thing hasn't been shipped when those doors get shipped they get beat to hell. Those hinges that's so neatly lined up for you do not neatly line up in real life. These doors did horribly. And we've tweaked them and bent them and done all kinds of crap to them and they still fit horror blade. This is not my first set of soft doors from bestop. I don't understand what's going on over there the last set fit wonderfully I pay more for this new set and they fit like garbage I've never been more disappointed in my life. And I've been using bestop products since 1993 😭
Landon, 1) Nice video but you stopped the video on some of the trickiest parts! I was hoping to watch how you followed their order of working from inside with spacer, latch, exterior trim then bolts....oh yeah...then nuts. You have to be a friggin octopus! I had better luck carefully slicing the bolt holes the length of the elongated holes, then working from the outside in by installing the trim and bolts from the outside then spacer and latch ...which was still a little tricky but doable. 2) I'm still fitting mine but just getting late. Would have been nice to see your fitting process. Thats what I was searching for. Sounds like I need to loosen the bolts where the strap goes. Ill get to that tomorrow 3) my rugged Ridge trail mirrors look like they are going to hit the doors at about 6" open. Nobody's fault....just a bad combo. That being said, I think its goofy having mirrors mounted on a soft door that when the doors come off, you still don't have a mirror. Anyone know a mirror that works better on a JL? twoyou're
Unfortunately, I agree. I believe the problem is 2-fold. First, it appears they’re either not using jigs to align the weld points (or not setting them up properly). Second, I believe the steel stock is too flexible. After sending mine back, Bestop never contacted me for feedback. Truly disappointed.
I have a JK, but there are several aftermarket mirrors that attach to the windshield posts you can consider. Those work OK, but I am still trying to figure out how to make the doors fit.
🔥🔥🔥
Do you happen to know if these would store in the rear without having to fold the seats down? Great video!
take them apart and they well stowe behind the rear seat of my 2 DR
I wonder if you strip the fabric off weld the frames together andtook them to an a shop to get the fabric put back on if they would be better ?
I want to purchase these soon for my 2 door . Are there a lot of people have issues with gaps ?Or is it a quick fix when you install ? Thank you

Great video! What wheels are those?
Brian Hutchins They are the AEV JK Salta Wheels
Landon insists on only using Nitto Ridge Grapplers!

Too bad, I was going to get these until I read the bad fit comments. Thanks
Too many people report issues with these doors. I wanted to buy them, but holding back now. They need to come up with better design.

@@rayf7645 They didn't contact you because they know there's problems and they refuse to correct it.
So if the fit and build of these is so crap, why don't you fix the issue @bestop ?
Is it just me or is there a huge gap at the top for water to seep in?
No mirrors installed

whenever they say "we've got our" I know they've been paid by the company...
We actually talk about these brands because we truly believe in them and don't take payment for these videos.
Nice video kid... grow a beard 🧔 if your a Jeep man ... man up. Lolz
