Honestly, even though Molly herself stated that the cops were on a hunt for the cars since the studio break-in, does anyone feel like Devin actually anonymously tipped them into interfering with the mission, just so he could use it as an excuse to not be there and scam Franklin just so he could keep the money he owed him for himself? I mean, who do you think gave us access to the police and their equipment? I feel like Trevor knew Devin screwed with them in the beginning and was ready to kill him when the time was right.
Yeah, I think that is essentially 4D chess, that would explain why the cops only went after them after they long left the city. Jurisdiction-wise, that was essentially a different department and Devin was shown to be able to influence the LSPD. Most of the vehicles were stolen in Los Santos and were all high profile and expensive which also helps his excuse that the wire could easily be argued to attract attention. As he would be paying them a lot of money after they were shown to have attracted police attention. So, they got conned badly. It makes more sense than Lamar attracting the police despite the questionable circumstances of how he got the car. Not to mention, it wouldn't add up, if the drama was the case Molly as Devin's known business associate would result in a similar case as it would if Devin was there lest if they were followed.

Well, I'm not a detective, but if I ain't mistaken, I think this is what Weston was planning all along. He may have money, but I don't think he was gonna give it to the guys, so for the record, with those 5 cars, plus the 6th one in the packer, I think he was planning to set the guys up. Making the cops think they just stole those cars for themselves

"Not a scratch" is easy to achieve. As soon as the JB 700 comes off of the Truck shoot the cop car in front of you. Then line up the JB 700 with the ramp on the Truck and just keep deploying the spikes. Keep mashing the button. That made me get 6 cops. Then go to Molly after that.

After this scene and not getting paid right after finished this mission I chased down Molly with Franklin and killed her driver and she got out and got hit by a car, meanwhile I stole her car and I still have it. I mean after Frank got ripped off I knew I had to make him get something outta this so why not steal Molly's car 😏
