My bro let me tell you, I have been pretty much only playing on solo lobbies since the new summer update but today, for some reason, I felt like trying to sell my bunker in a public lobby.. So there I was, in the clouds, loading, already seeing in the chat people calling out a modder.. I finally load in and give two hopeful steps inside my bunker when out of nowhere, *fart noise*, my game gets crashed.. It sure isn't Tuesday, but sure as shit it's Wednesday
Welcome to asylum Ghillie! 😆 GTA Online on PC has reached the point to where even OG legit players are getting a menu for "protection", or make sure they always have a modding friend present in the session, whenever they play in public. And even invite only, you are never really safe to be completely honest. If you have pissed off the wrong player, you might get stalked by a toxic no-lifer for ages.
This happen to me and its not Fun. Sound Blast and Game Crash permanent i play ... its sucks so hard, whatever do public Lobby, Invite Lobby or Solo Lobby ... R* does nothing against this 🙄. I hate this People so damn hard, but i cant do anything about this. Only i was better than this Brainless Monkeys ^.^
I have to agree, one of my OG friends we used to grind years ago is now modding just so he can disconnect other modders and not get bullied by them and if i need help i call him ;d
Whenever I'm being stalked I just set the player to join-redirect so they won't be able to join my session.
Honestly, I have never went in passive mode when I play on PC. If it gets to crazy I'll change servers or do a quick DC where I'm in a solo public lobby. Repeat until you get your shit done 😆

As someone who plays on PC, it's much worse since the update. it feels like every full session has around 10 modders in a session. it's terrible.

There was always modders but seems like theres a lot more now, Legit 90% chance if you find someone killing others its a modder.
The reason is simple - back them public lobbies had many grinders in them. But now all mentally-healthy grinders sit in private session, so public ones mostly have the biotrash
This is just the beginning of the rabbit hole
You can say you fully experienced GTA on pc when you got crashed stalked by a modder and lead to abandon the account because it's fucked
Modders own GTAO/PC. Not R*. For a product that raked in hundreds of millions of $$$ this is ridiculous beyond measure.
The corrupt developers allow it to happen. They sell the og mod package even from old ps3 era. In 2013 it was slightly more difficult to use, a few devs put in the ability to cheat for themselves against other players online and ended up selling it to multiple distributors who change a few things each per menu to make it seem like they all got mods independently

I've still been told by peeps to get a menu to protect myselff but after watching that one video-- It was either TGG, Dark Space, or SomeOrdinaryGamers-- about how invasive some mod menus are I'd rather just bite the bullet and roll with the punches. That, and I wouldn't be allowed to stream with mods unless single-player lol

I had to get a mod menu just to avoid getting crashed every time I logged on due to being level 1000

@@MrKamikaze1337 no you cant bypass the vpn, thats impossible, but the vpn ip can be pulled and booted. So your game will disconnect, but your home wifi will stay on.
I feel like this is the ultimate advertisement for ExpressVPN. When SOG/Muta talks about GTA Online on PC, he strongly advises the use of a VPN because the security sucks so bad that it's dirt simple for Modders to nab your IP Address. It's a good thing you got it.

@@scottwinfrey8250 None of it would be needed if R* just had better security and more strict punishing n stuff. The idea is to deter the cheaters so they're less inclined to try. R* can't be asked.
While there are shit tons of modders on PC, not very many of them (in my experience) are the type to do stuff like orbital spam, and it’s usually either people keeping to themselves or doing stupid shit that shouldn’t be an issue for you (cars that go mach 5 and stunt arenas).
By that, I mean effects as if you were playing Chaos mod. I once had a guy spawn in my car and basically give me ‘Gravity Sphere’, was fucking hilarious

If you're not a high profile youtuber or any kind of celebrity, GTA Online on PC isn't this chaotic. Depending on the region, you can actually get chill sessions.
He's playing on a different account though, so the modder wouldn't have known he was a RUclipsr

Anyway, I'm not saying there are no cheaters. I play only on PC and of course I get them myself. It's just not as chaotic as some people imagine. Because of their fame, youtubers unintentionally make PC GTA look worse than it actually is.
We did a full public car meet the other day on PC and it was the chilliest time I’ve had on GTA for ages
@lTheAlpha._ well yeah, as I said. content creators will always be stalked in GTA in some form. For regular players it depends on region and their overall activity. Keeping a low profile helps, but of course, it won't keep you completely safe.
The thing is I don't engage in too much PVP. I can imagine that people who do it, get attacked more often, because some people decide to stalk them through RID.

a. We need an assisted suicide system where if you ewo after taking damage the attacker gets the kill *regardless* of damage done (pistol shot to the player for example)

b. I'll never play GTAO on PC ever
That EWO system exists. Unfortunately, it's only tied to the Ewo Button and not the stickies.
EWO is pointless in maintaining a K/D ratio, free mode no longer counts kills and deaths for that with the recent update, if I'm not mistaken. At least the one thats recorded on the player profile.

That is the type of gameplay that i always have... I try to drive a cool car or mind my own business and some tryhard or modder comes to ruin my game.. or sometimes i try to help someone to defend himself from a tryhard

As a pc player this is absolutely normal
having been primarily a pc gtao player for several years, only recently did I start again on console, it's a difference of night and day. You can't win against a modder determined to F with you on pc. Some get menus themselves to "protect" themselves. I just go solo public, or have some scripting that can selectively target and drop players packets. All that is not worth the hassle though
I'm convinced yall like modders. Lol.

But I do know it's just network packets flying back and forth and have some in the middle networking magic I can do if I really want to mess with people back (not a menu though), but have to manually find peoples ip's and I no longer care enough to bother. really you can technically block / drop all of it and just keep the ping between players in the session so nobody can mess with you at all but it's not worth the hassle why bother when I just want to make money
I joined this free mode session and eventually got into this huge free mode battle and eventually got into a 1v3. Two of them tried to blow me up with sticky bombs while using an MOC but I got a lucky hit and killed the driver and then the passenger and they both raged 😂 then the last one disappeared and eventually came back but was in GOD MODE which I personally find hilarious. I had about 20 kills on him and I made him so mad he had to use a broken glitch which personally made me feel good about myself. I just got into my omnis e gt and drove around the map while he tried to kill me while on an oppressor but he eventually raged when he could hit me with a single missile and then proceeded to send me a couple dozen hate messages. I love this game

Hopefully it will never be like xbox360/ps3 though, last I played a weirdo made my account unplayable.. messaged R*, they reset my account, asked me to reach rank 5 again and THEN they would give my rank and earned cash back, nothing else.. 😭

Honestly a decent mod menu on PC is a must have nowadays because of all the protections it provides. Not having one is like crossing no man’s land in your undies

There may be modders in every lobby on PC but they're not always like this. I'd say this was quite extreme.
Not even close. This is "normal" compared to those that follow you, even on invite-only lobbies or kick you offline. There are some that make your character move so slowly and get followed and attacked by jets (like in one of my videos).

hackers that do this have no life tbh, they're the reason why so many people quit GTAO.
Recently playing on PC is next to impossible because since this update modders are now kicking everyone out of the session so they can become the host of the lobby and can get those "extra percs" that is granted to a lobby host. I've been crashed 7 times in one day, without me even saying anything to the modders that crashed me, and when I asked why they crashed me, some of them basically said that they either wanted to be the host or simply just wanted to kick/crash everyone in the session.
Right now GTA Online on PC is just isn't worth going in a public session. If you have something to do, do in an invite only session. If you want to source cargo, you NEED to be in a solo public session, otherwise, you'll either get tp'd to an apartment/Cayo Perico, cayed, mod exploded, kicked or crashed. Or sometimes even all of the above.
Console players may have some godmode glitchers going arround, but expect 60% of the session to be in godmode + No Ragdoll on PC.
This is just a normal business day on PC

I think across the board the tryhards have come back hard. Most lobbies ive been in have had someone with a dunces cap in a jet… they get mad when the explosive rounds come out…
Yeah, its been like this for years and years by now.
My best suggestion? Stick to free aim lobbies on PC. For whatever reason, I seem to run into far fewer modders and trash players there than I run into in assisted aim sessions

4:20 Shit like this is why some PC servers have terrible FPS and are unstable resulting in being kicked even when having perfectly fine internet connection, That along with the fact all the custom vehicles cheaters spawn don't despawn over time and persist through multiple lobby's which really makes the de-sync worse, You can tell what lobby/server you are in throughout week based on the destroyed vehicles locations, Some lobbys persist for multiple days before everyone leaves, This is due to alot of people creating Solo lobbys with Task manager which just duplicates the current lobby... Other people end up joining eventually which then re-populates the lobby and the cycle continues... This being said i'm still willing to play and level up/unlock vehicles so i can partake in PVP before GTA 6 releases and everybody transitions.

It's funny how rockstar patches the Money Drops from the menus but lets the griefing options stay and cause havoc, I think they do this because it makes the game impossible to grind and which will cause some players to buy shark cards. GTAPC you either need friends to play with in private lobbies or you get a mod menu to defend yourself. It's quite sad and awful

GTA online modding has gotten to the point of u can't do a hole lot about it. Unless rockstar did something but it cost them money. I never wanted to get mods but I had to cuz people are like this, some modders are nice chill and like to fuck around and have fun without really effecting u or the game, but some like to see the world burn. Mods is the only way to block other modders, from joining u especially when ur youtuber, they get wet when they find out . I never use mods to fuck with someone that's just trying to play the game and have fun or they are playing the game legit I'll use them to fight other modders at least when they don't crash me first. if u go online into PC get a person or urself there's safe places to get some if u need to, or someone u can trust to get mods to protect ur self, and a VPN would ur best choice to, P.S when u were getting exploded it's a non damage one they won't kill u, but its the worse part cuz it can still fling u, and cages u can't stop, ur best option is to hop legit in worse case just hop, and don't worry about reporting, most basic tools like mine block reports, the only way to get them through is on Rockstar's website. And yes u would have to do this much to play the game on PC and ngl I read this back and we should not have to do this much to protect ourselves online in this day and age for any game but it's the only thing if u play PC, and u say console is better but it's not safe either cuz the games peir to peir. But the best I can think of.

there basically is no point to pvp in pc online, i don't know if im fireing at a modder or not so i dont bother, stick with friendly pvp and pve aspect. the social stuff is nice with the chat it has potentional but nut as a pvp shooter with all the mod menus, i know nothing about anti cheat but it should not be this hard to implement..
