This is definitely the way to go and the way we went! Those joints flex and with a massive bar the flex needs to be kept to a minimum, by massive we have an 8ft bar!! For cookies from a stump, we bought the extra rails for £60 for a pair and just put everything from one of our mills onto them
@@jamestheferretI built mine with 4040 extrusion and it works great. As you mentioned, there is a lot of tension on the bar and the frame especially in hard wood. I mainly mill oak and I ended up having to drill holes at both ends of the bar as the clamp type tend to move after a few cuts
Excellent. Don't forget a little purple or blue lock tight on those! Stuff like that WILL eventually rattle loose.
This is a great tip. I've lost a few bolts off that saw already.
I'm gonna say you can buy different sizes... no need to f around... but I do respect anyone who actually uses their monster saw... I have 2
Or just buy two 4040 aluminium extrusion with some Tee nuts and bolts.
