Mazrika is a playable character!? I missed that! 😒 Edit: Kind of sad that I didn't use my "choose a free 5*" token on Melody after hearing you talk about her. I had the mats to sidegrade her to AS immediately, and thought about choosing her. But in the end I went with Dewey. I know he's a much older character, but I've wanted RCF so bad ever since Future Mythos. Gotta catch up on some Episodes and other content to farm those chants.
@@devseiya I've been away from the game for a while, but I'd wager she still one of the most useful characters in the game generally speaking. I've always tried to tell newer players that supports like her are the ones that hold their value the longest... and that supports and characters like Flamme, AS Tsubame that have one touch, 0mp, AoE capabilities will improve your QoL and save time farming/grinding should be a priority. Those anniversary characters, since Melissa, have been quite rare in the free banners. 😔 Hoping Iphi spooks you in an office banner pull one day soon. ✌️
I am the guy who asked about how the game is nowadays. I decided to come back to the game yesterday. I am in main story chap 10 or 11(in xeno domain) My 3 chatacters from the the garanted manner was: 1. Shanon Alter 2. Radias As 3. Eva and I choose Isuka from the garanted 5* in main story because she is my favorite character. When I earn more stones, I Will try get Alter Shanie
It’s a pretty generous banner indeed! I think they’re trying to help new players catch up. Plus there are a stack of free Chronos stones, especially for new players
I finally started getting some Treatises for Zilva and one Opus for Shanie. So, I'll probably keep farming them and save my 4k Chronos Stones for the last update of the main story, or possibly the Eastern Mythos.

Dude I pulled on the journey's outset banner and got 3 golden doors. 👀 Never had that in my 5 years of this game... WT friggin F! My only time getting anything more than one beautiful golden chime was when I finally got Flamme. I got her OG and AS in the same pull. 😅 I planned to pull all 3 of those anyway, but you couldn't change my mind for a million chicken nuggies now.
It was wild. 😄 All characters I had in the roster... but +48 light/shadow for 1,000 stones is amazing in my experience. (~‾▿‾)~ Almost got Elseal to 50 for eventual SA
Shanie AS and Melina have been 💩. Holding out the rest of my CS for LingLi probably. I've decided to invest in Terry from KoF, he's not as OP as a couple of my other units but definitely fun to use. Curious if you've been using/upgrading any of your KoF units? If you have a vid link it! 😁

@jrpgwow Terry is pretty rad, I dig his animations. I don't yet have a proper earth team to test him with but his damage can get nasty in long-ish battles! His self buffs are GREAT + blunt break. Kyo is next! 🔥🔥
@@qwertyu4055 ok I’d pick Radias so you can upgrade her to Radias AS - reasons for Radias AS explained in this vid. You could also get Renri to upgrade her to Renri alter (this will take much more time and luck then getting Radias AS. I’ve done a guide on Renri alter so you can check that. For an amazing fire DPS you may want Ewan, then work towards getting his true manifest and then stellar awakening him - he’s currently a top tier unit. The longer you play, the more you can start building teams of each element.
@@qwertyu4055 just to add to this, Shion - a fire slash, and Shigure - a water slash - are most likely (not 100% confirmed) gonna get huge upgrades soon, so if you’re thinking long term and want to take the risk you may also want to consider either of them.

You should prioritize a good support like Yipha (for damage/defensive buff) Radias (for ultimate survivability), both can be sidegraded to AS forms where you'll get those above mentioned characteristics. If not that then go for a character that will improve your QoL. If you play AE for any extended period of time, you'll know it's 80% grinding... for experience, for upgrade materials, completing daily tasks like running keys, even exploring the overworld. Characters like Flamme or Tsubame (in her AS form) have one touch, 0mp AoE capabilities that can GREATLY improve your QoL here... saving you time and effort. Highly recommend supports because they hold their value longest. But characters that improve QoL are literal gamechangers. Any questions I'd be happy to help my fellow adventurer. ✌️
I actually managed to pull Zilva and he's just as broken as I expected when paired with Mazrika. He pushed me over the edge to bury The Depthlord Oceano, Warped Alma Eterna Hard, Warped Reborn Life Hard, and Inimical Travelers' Curse. He may not be universally useful, but he's great in his single target exploit weakness niche. Edit: Also add Sacred Beast Spiritas. He works perfectly fine against neutral, Mazrika + Zilva + Ilulu AC + Orleya AS barely even took damage in that fight.
Sadly yes, but I find her a great character design sadly it's not that good for me as I'm already on the late game grinding my ass off from dungeon but it's a great unit nonetheless.

Who do you think is better for the last slot in my water team, Melina or Dunarith AC ? My water team currently have Jillfunny, mazrika, illulu AC ( will change to felmina es soon ).
Bro others might have some thoughts to this but I would just stick with what you’ve got: Jillfunny, Mazrika, Ilulu alter and Felmina ES. If you really must get one, I’d go for Dunarith alter
@@loonybrontosaurus6167 Felmina ES + Alter Ilulu slaps bro... add any other combination of water supports like Elseal or Alter Dunarith and you've got a solid water team, but those two are the core. Water slash is 💪 But my advice may be outdated. Only played sporadically the last yearish.
@@loonybrontosaurus6167 All you need is a character or 2 that can set water zone and buff damage for Ilulu and Felmina... Elseal just happens to excel at her role on water teams. 😌 Honestly even with just Alter Ilulu and Felmina, you're going to have a powerful water slash duo. ES Felmina can set awakend zone... multiple times in fact, but it takes a few rounds to stack orbs and set up. She also gives herself powerful damage buffs and grants herself barrier pierce. She's a monster DPS. Same for Alter Ilulu... she's very versatile. Can awaken zone, but sets slash zone not water. Can buff teammates, debuff enemy (namely slash resistance down), sets poison & pain, and has those fun end-of-turn antics. They play well off each other I use Elseal because she sets water zone, is a slash unit herself, and is an incredible support... buffing those two even further. But if you have Mazrika (I know nothing of her skillset) she's also a water slash unit and would fit right in. Alter Dunarith would provide more support and some survivability... But you could literally add any water or water/slash character in that last slot (Alter Hismena , Zeviro, Melina... if you SA her would e a fantastic, though costly to upgrade water support). Your main objective should be to be sure you can set water zone, preferably with a move (Aisha is free) and buff those two core water slash units. Whatever you do... get ES Felmina. You won't be disappointed with spending those resources. ✊
I started playing about a month or so ago (still got to pull on the guaranteed 5 star free banner that was available). I pulled on Melina banner once, got 2 copies of her, also got 3 Umpalumpas from 3 pulls and got Shanie for i think 6 or 7k CS, which was unlucky ig. Still have like 17k stones for whatever is to come. And that free selector ticket which i don't know what to get with.
@@SulphurDew I recommend a good support like Radias or Yipha who you can side grade to AS or someone like Flamme or Tsubame AS who have 0mp AoE capabilities to help with farming/grinding... those last 2, or any other characters like them will greatly improve your QoL overall in the game, as a majority of what you'll be doing (if you continue to play the game for an extended period) is grinding for experience, farming dungeons, or completing daily tasks like running keys. All of these things can be done MUCH easier and faster with those above mentioned characters, not to mention they can help when exploring the overworld. That's where my focus would be personally. Any questions I'd be happy to help my fellow adventurer. ✌️
Not sure who all is available from that free 5* selector. I had most of the characters, so my choices were limited. But if it's ANY character, I recommend Iphi.
@@sweebos I wanted Iphi, but then she's not there, also, i don't see a need for 0mp really, at least now, am just using Wenefica with mp after victory badge (and Yakumo sidekick too), but i also do have Tsubame AS. I actually have quite a few 5 stars that i either swap out as needed or haven't even touched yet: Necoco AS, Garambarel AS, Bertrand AS, Yuna, Dewey alter, Shannon, Lovely AS and some 4.5 too. My core was Wenefica+Yakumo and some supports for them as needed, unless enemy absorbed shade, then it was Alma for dps. Also, people suggested holding onto a badge until an SA is announced for one of the chars from it, and as i'm done with main story and just clearing all the side stuff while farming grastas i don't really have to pick anything until i maybe really need one of the chars to round up a team or SA comes out. The one thing i feel i need advice on is tsubura gems: do i buy all keys or save for starcharts? Right now i have Melina at 2/3 SA and about 200 gems, but i also barely got to AGAD, so mostly just the free p/p grastas from story.
@@SulphurDew Sorry for the delayed response. In the past I'd have said buy keys and save the rest. I did for the first few years. But with my horrible luck obtaining light/shadow points for characters (a year+ only brought Aldo to 30 something light 😕) I quit that and only bought green keys for grasta and upgrades. With the introduction of the SA system, I have to recommend you save most gems for those older character's Starcharts available to purchase. You don't want to spend your allcosmos starcharts on older characters because of you pull a regular 5* version of a new character, you're unable to SA them without allcosmos... they have no Starcharts available for gems. And most newer characters have a majority of they're best moves and functionality locked behind their SA. The exception would be if you're trying to quickly obtain rewards from story dungeons or REALLY need grasta or other equipment to progress and obtain other rewards that are time limited. Even so... I HIGHLY recommend saving as many gems as you can for starcharts available to purchase, ESPECIALLY if you're f2p. With the rate of WFS is releasing SA buffs for older characters... it's impossible to keep up even if you save every single tsubura gem. And on that note: I'd recommend you SA characters that are powerful, or that fill a specific need in your team comps. Those that will improve your QoL while playing and grinding. Think of it like chants and treatsies/codexes... you don't upgrade every single character in your roster immediately, but when the time is right. Otherwise you'll be waiting months for materials. It's tough to keep up these days unless you spend a ton of $. 😅 If you do spend, one of the monthly subscription services are a great value, especially the Guide of the Heavens... simply for light/shadow points. SA characters need 30/50/80 points to perform their best. For obtaining characters, always have stones for the Star Dream encounters. 👍 Hope this info is helpful. Let me know if you have more questions. David have some good info in other vids on his channel. Wil Mak on RUclips has tons of info, although it's older material... still can be very helpful. And look up Isaiah on RUclips for maxed out character showcases to see their fully realized potential if you invest in them. ✌️
@@SulphurDew If you need grasta and grasta upgrades... green keys are it. If you need weapons or have better luck than me (😄) getting light/shadow for your story characters, burn those reds. You can probably get buy buying a week's worth of just one or the other. But know what your sacrificing. Like I said, it's already Impossible to keep up with granting a SA to all the characters they release even if you save everything. But don't spend those allcosmos on older characters. If you do, know what you're sacrificing there too... maybe you spend 6-7k on a new character banner and only get their normal 5* version without SA. With 0 allcosmos you're waiting 3 months before they're of any real use to you likely... even longer if you pull their 4.5, because then you're farming for chants and treatsies/codexes or opuses as well. And by that time you may have to divert resources to invest in another character.

The exception would be if you're trying to quickly obtain rewards from story dungeons or REALLY need grasta or other equipment to progress and obtain other rewards that are time limited.
Even so... I HIGHLY recommend saving as many gems as you can for starcharts available to purchase, ESPECIALLY if you're f2p. With the rate of WFS is releasing SA buffs for older characters... it's impossible to keep up even if you save every single tsubura gem.
And on that note: I'd recommend you SA characters that are powerful, or that fill a specific need in your team comps. Those that will improve your QoL while playing and grinding. Think of it like chants and treatsies/codexes... you don't upgrade every single character in your roster immediately, but when the time is right. Otherwise you'll be waiting months for materials.
It's tough to keep up these days unless you spend a ton of $. 😅
If you do spend, one of the monthly subscription services are a great value, especially the Guide of the Heavens... simply for light/shadow points. SA characters need 30/50/80 points to perform their best. For obtaining characters, always have stones for the Star Dream encounters. 👍

If you need grasta and grasta upgrades... green keys are it.
If you need weapons or have better luck than me (😄) getting light/shadow for your story characters, burn those reds.
You can probably get buy buying a week's worth of just one or the other. But know what your sacrificing. Like I said, it's already Impossible to keep up with granting a SA to all the characters they release even if you save everything.
But don't spend those allcosmos on older characters. If you do, know what you're sacrificing there too... maybe you spend 6-7k on a new character banner and only get their normal 5* version without SA. With 0 allcosmos you're waiting 3 months before they're of any real use to you likely... even longer if you pull their 4.5, because then you're farming for chants and treatsies/codexes or opuses as well.
And by that time you may have to divert resources to invest in another character.
