  • (31 Jul 1958) Way back in 1917, a tidal wave all but obliterated the village of Hallsands in South Devon. The villagers were evacuated. All that remains of their community are the ruined houses, the seagulls, and one old lady. She is Mrs Prettyjohn, who was born over 70 years ago at the London Inn, which stood here until the sea tore it away. And now, Mrs Prettyjohn lives in a house called "Sea View", and she refuses to be intimidated. Here she was born and here she will stay!

Sad, it would appear that Elizabeth's brother John shown in the same house in the other Pathe' film had perhaps now passed as he is not mentioned here?
He made model schooner's in the shed, now I am wondering if the same family own the house and are some of John's model ships still inside?
If so, I hope they are within sight of the ocean.
Bless all these ghosts of the sea. 🌞
