I told my mom to get me a scientific calculator, she comes home with casio fx-991ex. its been a year and it still amazes me to this day.
Got this for my additional maths and it's a charm. Absolutely love the display and the menu, it's just brilliant. It's my main calculator as my old casio one just looks to shabby. Came here to learn other features, unfortunately didn't really learn anything but I do love a maths enthusiast
I love that it keeps answers in the exact form as long as possible. I also like that it treats 2(x+1) or 2(radical)3 as (2(x+1)) and (2(radical)3)) like I am used to even inserting the extra parentheses. EquaserTV on youtube has a series of 13 videos on this calculator that covers all the modes. I love the separate 'X' key and that 'Shift' + STO(recall) shows all the memories and the values in them in case I forgot which one to use!
mine just arrived, ive been using an older model for years throughout school and freshman year of uni and i needed an upgrade, this one is totally worth it
This is actually such a cool calculator, id be the coolest kid in multivariable calc next semester if I rolled up with this bad boy (my uni doesn't allow graphing calculators so this is a sneaky alternative :D)

I have the fx-115ES Plus and I'm getting a fx-9860GII for Christmas. I'm a big fan of all calculators. I really like Casio and TI. The joy of understanding math and it's practical applications is an awesome gift. My college makes sure we understanding how to solve math questions without the calculator. It makes one appreciate the use of a calculator so much more. Thank you for making these videos.

@@north6660 that petition won't do anything. I learnt all of a level maths myself with no teacher. I had a textbook that was supported by edexcel and they put questions that aren't even taught in the text book
@@hamzahhussain6580 yeah I thought that also, but people are still trying, edexcel gave us one thing for 2 years that was not of any use in the papers, today's paper (3) will also be a nightmare.

I replaced my TI with a Casio fx-115 ES about 9 years ago and its still working. But it would be nice to have a new one.
Your videos bring me a lot about the sense of integration, such as D.I. Method. Perhaps, this channel also brings me some trick about trigonometry identities, it enlighten my mathematical sense . Despite Hong Kong's schools are not allow to use this type of electronic calculators, I really want to say thank you to you.

I like this calculator but one huge draw back is that when switching modes or turning it off, your previous calculations/ functions are erased. ... You can't even multi task. The Ti36 pro can. If Casio can add that ability to their next scientific calculator it would be awesome! I really like this calculator but having to reenter large functions is painful.
I need this for stability calculations on my ship, yah know so we don't sink not because I won't have to do it all long hand 😂

If I write some data on the spreadsheet and I turn off the calculator, when the power back up the numbers in the spreadsheet are stored or deleted?
It is deleted when you turn it off and that's a big minus point for this calculator.

"Cool Video!!!" 🙂🙂🙂 I bought one of this cool calculator at my local Walmart today on sale $9.00 it said $11.00 on the package but it scanned at $9.00 I'm not much mathematically inclined but for some advance functions I'll be needing it for crafting and sewing it's pretty cool to have.
Please may you give me the location of said "walmart". That is a bargain if I've ever seen one, my local only sells them for $10.

Yes, it loses all the calculations history unless you have the value stored in one of the variable memories (The alphabets like A,B,C etc.). Input the value you want to store and press "STO" then press one of the buttons in the 3rd row (for example A). The next time you need that value, you press alpha and that particular button.

I prefer this over my ti nspire. It can do anything my ti can. except graphing equations. Highly recommend to pick this calculator up

I have a question. My 991EX screen has suddlenly become really faded, like the digits barely appear on screen, but when I cover the solar panel they are back to normal. Why is this? Its so annoying. I've tried everything even the contrast settings which don't do anything. Any got any advice?

Yes! In fact, it has lots of similarities with the 115 es, kind of like brother calculators.
Hello, does this calculator save a history of recently performed calculations?
As long as you not press "On" button or turn it "Off", it does save it in the replay memory otherwise, it simply will be gone.
