When i was 15 i discovered this on a cassette in my brothers room. Listened to it many many times on my walkman. I didnt even know it was by the mondays. It blew me away. Prob the first non top of the pops/mtv song i recall listening to.

Grunge music took off in Washington in ‘94 with Nirvanas arrival on the music scene and the Manchester scene was beginning to lose its creative-streak at this time; Monday’s were struggling to release anything and the Factory fam just kinda fell away in the course of an unprecedented music boom somewhere besides Manchester { 🇺🇸
I don’t care what happened to it ~ it lives on in the music 🎼
I was born in 1991 with this playin near by I’m sure : Manchesters music has inspired me more than any other and I’m proud to be from the same place as these amazing people; most importantly- Ian K. Curtis (& Joy Division\New Order) the punk scene that set all of this town’s accomplishments in music

I agree. The late 80's / early 90's had some of the best bands....The Mondays, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, The Charlatans, Primal Scream, Inspiral Carpet, The Soup Dragons, James etc . Can anyone point me to any new bands that come close to the list above?

They were signed to Factory Records but they went bankrupt and London Records bought them.
