Mamamoo is on another level, they are in that space at the top with the few others in the world who are at that level of extreme talent and the ability to perform with it. There is actually one more immortal song, Delilah as in the Tom Jones song and they absolutely kill it and it is in english. The first words of the song Honey are, "Am I Attractive? Of course I am" yeah that is Solar saying that and the song is awesome, the visuals are insane as in grown woman looking beautiful and singing. Her album is great as well, everything from R&B to Big Band. For a surprise video, look up Mamamoo singing a Pikachu song dressed as Pokemon, probably the best 2 minutes of vocals and Moonbyul belts for a second and a Wheein and Solar rap along with some jazz, ballad, unreal harmonies with Moonbyul and Wheein, really amazing what they packed into that pikachu song. My understanding is that Immortal Songs tracks are a collection of old school songs that are forever popular in Korea, basically beloved classics. Mamamoo as expected knock it out of the park. Love them. And my Ult Bias, Solar, has blessed us with her new EP. It's a great time to be a Moomoo. They are keeping us well fed. As for your assessment that Mamamoo, Red Velvet and Dreamcatcher are vocally on a different playing field, is in my opinion 100 percent correct. Thanks for another great reaction.

Yes! Grown woman group! As a grown woman maybe that’s why they are one of the few female groups I can get into. Not that I don’t appreciate girl groups, but I can’t relate to trying to trying to look (and sound) so cute and young and fresh all the time. And there are some other fierce ggs out there, but a lot them actually are really young and are young badasses, but are still cute by nature. …Mamamoo is unique in the industry I think. …also may be why I’m so into female solo artists. They usually stay on the grown spectrum. Even if it’s very sweet music like IU or Taeyeon it still feels very adult

Immortal Songs is a show centered around an iconic person in music (musician, song-writer, composer, rap etc.) for each episodes (sometimes over the span of 2 ep). Mostly Korean, but I have seen an episode with Michael Bolton and Richard Marx 😉 The guests are supposed to choose a song from the icon and, not only perform it, but make it their own and/or (some) modernize it. I think there's usually 4-6 rounds (?), and they essentially compete with the previous performer (so it's usually good to go middle to last). The audience votes (I think they can onlyvote during the performance), so it can sometimes be a popularity contest. Mamamoo's gone on 14 times (I think?) So they did a medley of some of theie most iconic performances from the show. I recommend watching the full performances, but don't recommend RUclips reactions to them (tend to get blocked)
Honestly only Big Mama, a late 1st gen R&B group, is more legendary when it comes to vocals and it's a huge compliment to be compared to Big Mama. Mamamoo has more vocal range and agility but Big Mama are absolute goddesses in their R&B pocket. Before the Killing Voice video the Immortal Songs medley was the go to video for Moo Moos to show off Mamamoo's live singing and performance abilities. Honestly, I'm hungry for more live Mamamoo. Last year we got so many live stages, free and paid, and so I got used to getting fresh vocal blessings. 😂
they're the best to switch between a strong high note and a fire rap flow . and when wee know them we think damn .ok SOLAR is well know to be the best vocalist today ,they're vocal line is also the best and MOONBYUL is also see as one of the top 3 best female idol rapper . they only lack in dance category but since the past 2 year even in that category MOONBYUL and WHEE-IN became stronger and stronger . so WHY are they not famous to be "THE" best kpop female group ???
they're actualy the best vocal group in kpop but from all time in kpop .... HUMMM i don't know we got 3 other strong candidate for that title S.E.S with BADA and EUGENE vocal line BADA is probably also top 3 best woman valist of all time . we got SISTAR with the HYOLIN /SOYOU /DASOM vocal line HYOLIN is also very strong and powerfull vocalist and we got SNSD with TIFFANY /TAEYEON /JESSICA vocal line . to me it's between SISTAR and MAMAMOO for the first place .
Personally I wouldn't rate those girls groups ahead of Mamamoo for vocals. But some I might consider would be: The Grace, Big Mama, Davichi, 15&, Spica, Brown Eyed Girls, Red Velvet.
