  • Caveman Audio BP1 Compact Bass Preamp adds that critical definition in the low-mid part of the sound, making your bass sit in the mix with ultimate definition and tons of dynamics.
In this demo, HC Röder plays a Yamaha BBP35 5-string bass, using the P neck pickup only through a BP1 Compact with a Darkglass Microtubes X7 in the FX loop for a bit of additional dirt. The output of the BP1 Compact is recorded through an RME audio interface.

Caveman team, I have a stupid question. I primarily play live at small clubs. Studio work is not a factor. At some clubs, I might barely come thru the PA due to small venue size, but larger clubs I am present in the PA. My question is, I could run this as a pedal, and it would enhance my tone via what was coming out of my speaker cabinets, but if the club soundman engaged the Caveman's DI, then I would get this sweet BP1 tone thru my cabinets, as well as thru the club's PA, is that correct?

Really nice. Consider to buy a similar setup with BP1 compact and Microtubes X7. But I do need the option to use headphones for silent practice. Any recomandation on how to add headphones at the end of the signal chain? (Gear etc?) Thanks.
