  • Today I install and wire up all my arcade buttons and joystick from Suzo-Happ to my zero delay USB encoder.
    I will be plugging my USB encoder into a Raspberry PI model B +. I will be running Retro PI on my Raspberry PI as well for all my emulation needs!
    Pretty simple to install these buttons and Joysticks looks harder than it really it.
    Join me as we put them all in.
    Just needed to have the holes drilled out ( 30 mm ) and a few nuts and bolts and some hands to put it all together.
    My arcade cabinet is really coming along now I'm so excited for it :D
    I hope you enjoy process as much as me.
    This is such a fun project :D
    Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day :D!!

    9:00 Go back to the store and buy proper screws 8-32 x 3/4" flat head. All the Japanese joysticks use M4 x 16 metric machine screws in flat head or carriage bolt. You used the correct flat head wood screws to fasten your box together. If you want to use pan head screws then you need to counter bore and not counter sink.

    Can I use it to plug into an android emeulec instead of a raspberry to use it as controls.. I would assume so?

    Was the wiring okay for you? The diagram did not specify which wire in the premade harness is the ground. When dealing with arcade controls I’m used to working with a common ground, so this is new to me.

    Nice look. I'd have gone with IL just for the color-matching dust washer. That said, Focus Attack is now selling washers.
    Also, 30mm is a bit wide for Happ or IL buttons they're fitted for 1 1/8", or 28mm.

    I noticed they all use Cherry-brand switches. You get the parts from Tornado Terry?

      Check out Amazon.com. They have matching parts. I added an acrylic case since I didn't have a wooden box, for an extra $20, so total to include six buttons, joystick, zero delay encoder, and case was about $65. Not bad.

    can you explain the purpose of the player one and player two buttons? I am having trouble finding what those are for.

    • @washedjp1651

      Ryan Meek start buttons for each game

    • @ryanameek
      @ryanameek 5 лет назад

      Team JPB so are they just used for playing arcade roms (interchangeable with the “coin” button)? I’m assuming the start button then doesn’t work for that purpose.

    • @washedjp1651
      @washedjp1651 5 лет назад

      Ryan Meek they are used for every game to press start
